awful experience with GoStudent. Our tutor stopped showing up, and we are still being charged. Despite asking for a refund (which I am entitled to do under the terms and conditions), GoStudent is refusing. I would avoid them, and be very careful handing any money over to GoStudent!

Disgusting company and product - our circumstances have changed and we no longer require the service but have been told we are locked into our contract for the next two years. My bad for not reading the small print - but stay away

The app seems pretty badly optimised and makes my Samsung S25 lag every times it's opened.

Terrible for users as it's hard to find right people to message or cancel the contract etc.

nach dem nezem update ist alles grau. man sieht nichts. die alte Version hatte auch Probleme in chat. nach paar Sekunden kam es automatisch aus chat raus!

the chat function is borderline unusable at the moment. It kicks you out of the chats so you can't listen to voice messages or write text messages to students.

Awful experience. Found the service to be an absolute joke and even though you arrange a time and day for your session they ask to move it around EVERY week. Customer service is a bot and they don't respond to emails once you have signed up and will not answer calls. Would definitely advise to avoid and look elsewhere! They should be ashamed of the service provided.

I didn't like this app. It helps a bit to study BUT it's hard to cancel the payment. I told them I didn't want to do more classes for few months, we couldn't stop them from taking the money when I warned them a lot of times to stop it and they wouldn't listen. I had to change the card for them to stop insisting the paying.

Good teaching/learning experience but so difficult to cancel. The company also pushes for a subscription-type payment, which is even more difficult to cancel.

it's a scam, I paid for 4 lessons and only got to have 2, the other 2 they just took my money and said the lesson would happen next week and the kept doing it, so don't use this app because it's a scam

Very negative experience. you sign up for an annual due to a good offer and then relevant teachers are always unavailable and you continue paying for nothing. highly recommend to avoid any cooperation with Gostudent!

does not send push notifications to android, despite all notifications being toggled on in app settings. only sends push notifications to. iPhone...please fix this urgently !

I am very satisfied with tutor

Die App ist (auch als Tutor) absolut unnutzbar. Nachrichten verschwinden dauernd und Benachrichtigungen gibt's sowieso schonmal nicht. Ich empfehle für Schüler, Eltern und Tutoren eher die Webseite zu verwenden als diese nutzlose App – sowohl für Kommunikation als auch den Unterricht selbst.

Too many bugs, you need to open the app to see if you received a message. Very hard to book lessons for new students.

App doesn't work, GoStudent 'help' is unresponsive. Automated bot doesn't is set up poorly, and cannot register issue.

Such a scam...... like before you start doing lessons they tells you to fill an agreement about subscription in that agreement it clearly says that we can cancel it any time but when you asks for cancellation they don't accept it and keep taking money from your account.... i asked them many times like I've only done 4 lessons and i already had to pay for another 2 months that i didn't even do class ..... now they are saying that even if i didn't do lessons i have to pay for 12 months!!!!

There is no customer support

The app hardly works. The amount of things that should be fixed is just really immense. EDIT: I contacted customer support, as did many other colleagues of mine, to report a bug that makes notifications not be pushed, but as a response I was told that the problem doesn't even exist and that nobody else was experiencing the issue. Really really bad on both the technical side and the customer support side. One star.

As other reviews mention, they participate in very scummy behaviour and take money from you even after canceling the subscription. I hope this doesn't go unnoticed and they pay consequences for this behaviour.

Warning: Please don't join GoStudent, even though the tutors are amazing. I have several reasons for my strong opinion. First, they claim you have signed a contract when you try to cancel your membership, even if you have not. This is deceitful. Additionally, they state that you can cancel anytime, but they won't allow it. Even after you cancel your membership, they continue to take your money. Avoid using a direct debit system with this money-minded platform.

the app sucks, when they first started to use this app to do the lessons it was really bad, connection wasn't working sometimes, my daughter missed minutes in the lessons or could not access the network. Then the support is really bad too. they will make you pay even when you got no lessons booked in and also when you try to book lessons in it would not always work. and swapping the tutor is also not good as there is no communication via the chat. all in all app and gostudents is bad

Cannot reschedule lessons

Das sind betrüger. Es gibt Probleme bei der Bezahlung der Tutoren und die Schüler zahlen immer mehr Stunden als sie bekommen. Die Videoplattform funktioniert nicht richtig und der Support bietet keine ausreichende Hilfe.

Warning! Warning! The positive reviews are fake. Once you subscribe to a membership, you will never be able to cancel it even if you submit the form, and they will keep charging you even when they tell you that they will cancel you membership. There's a very long and a convoluted way to cancel the membership. They keep telling you lies and delay the cancellation for many weeks and keep charging you and never cancel it until you call your bank and stop Google play from charging you.

Great app for supporting my kids with their tutoring

Gostudent pays their tutors less than 40% of what parents actually pay for tutoring services through this platform. My humble advice to parents, please pay tutors directly for their services to get the best value for your money.

Absolute Müll-App. Komplett unzuverlässig und nutzlos. Lieber alles über Webseite erledigen. Zudem bekommt man ständig falsche Benachrichtigungen ("In 1 h fängt Unterricht an"). Außerdem ist die Chatfunktion völlig rückständig. Lieber WhatsApp für die Kommunikation nutzen (aber GoStudent will halt gern die volle Kontrolle).

The app is useless. Meetings are scheduled per Whatsapp. The data of charged hours does not coinceede with the still available hours In the app it is not even possible to manage the subscription and the support per telephone is not capable of canceling subscriptions either. Watch out this company looks highly suspicious and unserious. Customer satisfaction is lowest priority

The app does not work. The contracts cannot be cancelled unless the customer declares that they are unemployed or dead, so be careful on this service.

Great platform! There are a wide range of subjects to choose from including subjects not offered at schools like app development and robotics. The tutors are really patient and explain things in a simple and clear way. It is also very flexible and works with my busy schedule. The app itself is clean and easy to use. I highly recommend!
