Had the Fitbit app for a while now, it just changed to the "Health" app. And I'm not happy with the UI, mainly the food logging part of the app now. They removed the custom food option and they removed the add "other calories" option, which allowed you to add calories just based off of a number. updated: they have updated the custom logs, I am happy with how it works now. rating changed from 2 to 5 stars.

I have lived my previous Fitbit, and wonder when the sync issue will be fixed. I see it is common. I don't see any updates available. the calorie and macros tracker is awful. it doesn't use your macro targets and adjusts your calorie target on the fly based on its perceived active calorie burn. there is no way to turn off this calorie adjustment. food catalog is extensive but its moot when the calorie and macro tracker do not work

Love it good app great watch

The recent update on 10/28/2026 rendered my Fitbit useless. while it used to hold a charge for 3-4 days easily, immediately after installing the update it now drains to dead every 3-4 hours.

when it works it's good. But, it's slow to update and I've had to reinstall the app seems like every other week since the mandatory switch from Fitbit.

Bad vibe coded design, no functional, individual widgets, missing minute by minute HR data unless in activity, no old badge gamifications. what even is the point of this stupid app

Horrible experience. Doesn't track accurately compared to Fitbit. I suppose this is what Google wants though, to kill this product. Screw Google, move to Firefox and getting Xiaomi smartwatch.

ive been using fitbit for years mostly hassle free. since the update it doesn't sinc or work with my Vitality app nearly as well. very frustrating. my Vitality score is based on points which I dont get if the app doesn't sync. This could have financial implications as my policy will increase because of lack of interaction.

My Fitbit watch, "never" knows what time I sleep. it is inaccurate in multiple places. the algorithm is just off.

Ever since Google took over Fitbit, I’ve had nothing but problems. If I accidentally add a wrong food item to a meal and delete it, it permanently deletes the item from my entire food list. Having to search and re-add the food every single time is ridiculous. Deleting a log should only remove it from that meal, not wipe it from the app entirely! Now my sleep function isn't working!🙁

Need multi-device options, for kids or fashion. With all the technology available these days, I expect this option can be included.

I was enjoying using the AI in app, the suggestions were helpful and it was great to com discuss health with it. But now all I see is a sleep summary. I'm a premium user, but this no longer feels very premium.

absolutely atrocious app! app won't open and keeps losing connection with my fitbit versa 3 😡

you're forced to use several apps for workout logging - fit & health. The logged workouts from health are only somewhat visible between the 2 (health won't show details from logged workouts from fit entries, but is supposed to be a unified view). If you change something it linked in 1 app it does a destructive sync and blows out the data. the AI coach isn't helpful for building plans - the feature is trash. also there isnt a way to recover deleted data. you're better off with pen & paper

With the recent update 5 days ago on October 31st, the app is unusable. Black screen and unable to access the app at all.

When activity is added manually, it is not reflected in steps or distance. Sync is hit or miss. Sometimes accurate, but really not that reliable.

I bought the Fitbit Edge partly because the Finnish product page lists ECG as a health feature. The ECG app isn’t available in Finland, which was disappointing to find out after purchase. Otherwise the app works well for activity and sleep tracking. I’d rate it higher once ECG is available here.

*How did this app get so much worse????? It has big chunky colors like it's for a kindergartener. All the labels are totally excessive. Why must you keep redesigning it to be worse? Not intuitively set up, to compare you must go into each day and measure separately, instead of just being able to toggle from one day to the next. New smelling heartrate data is pooled in 5 minute increments, instead of detailed minute to minute, which was part of the reason I use this device.

Frequently looses sync. App is up to date and hardware is clean and charged.

Doesn't show elevation gain during a workout with my Fitbit Edge, and after a workout it's only reported in arbitrary & meaningless "floors", not actual feet or meters.

sleep score doesn't match the original app. the old app says 90 score & Google health comes in at 75? I kept using the old app on my phone & new version on my Ipad. a consistent difference between good & poor sleep quality. ill probably buy a different tracker because I cant trust thier findings.

app works well, great customization for what I need...only downside is I can't figure out how to add my Google Wallet to my device (Versa 4)

awful app!!! lost all my run history and it syncs my runs into workouts! So you cant see any information on splits and interval run! Will be deleting once I find an app that was as good as FitBit!! Google has become an AI company Fitbit was so much better Also logging food is awful and impossible to get any accurate information

poor now they have broken the connection to Outdoor Active. Numerous attempts to get my fitbit hikes sent to my mapping app.

if you use Premium, you really get the most out of the app. Otherwise it misses a lot of features. with Premium you have a chat bot (coach) you can interact with, take pictures of your food, have the track you did when you ran/walk which is something that is missing in the free version. It's a great addition although those other features should be free.

Will not work with my Versa 3 done a factory reset trying to get it to work now it wants to do an update but says it can't. Has basically BRICKED my watch!

please just let me put my steps in (like the actual number) manually. it also won't let me sinc my Fitbit to the app without making it require another Google account. I wish they just had it as "pair Fitbit" and they figured out how to pair it without the Google account. the ai is about as useless as the app is and I find it mildly irritating that everything Google puts out has an AI on it, and then, when you find something wrong with it, an ai just comes to tell you that it's your fault.

I despise this app. Connectivity is randomly lost and it is impossible to restore connectivity without multiple attempts that invariably involve reinstalling the app and turning Bluetooth on and off multiple times. No rhyme or reason as to when it will or will not work.

Edit** LOVE THAT I HAVE TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL EVERY FREAKING MONTH... TRAAAASH!!! Has gotten horrible, Google you have ruined the Fitbit brand. the app barely ever works, needs restarted constantly, deleted and reinstalled.. it's trash, what are your "developers" doing? loosing data all of the time, synch doesn't work, half the time my watch isn't vibrating with notifications. there is too much in the app. well, i guess it is because i don't use all of it, but if you want a lot of info, this is great. also, i have a fitbit charge 6, and i love this, battery lasts many days, and it is not gigantic, like some others out there.

food logging is completely broken. If I wasn't able to sync with another app I couldn't log anything without typing everything in. The barcode scan doesn't work. searching for food doesn't work. and everything is placed under snacks when imported. it's genuinely so bad

now that it's not the Fitbit app anymore I cannot get it to put my steps right in MyFitnessPal app anymore which is a big bummer!! I loved when the two apps worked together for me .

SpO2 data frequently shows as "No Data," suggesting there may be a synchronization issue. In many cases, the data only appears after force-stopping the app. Sometimes, I even have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it working again. I would also like to see detailed pulse rate and SpO2 readings throughout the entire sleep period, rather than just occasional measurements.

App will no longer connect to the watch if I turn off the apps access to location. Just continuing to make the service worse.

I'm not sure why Fitbit had to be stopped and forced users to move to Google Health. I never had this issue with Fitbit before. my sleep and other data fails to auto sync. Around Aug I lost 3-4 weeks of data following Gemini's suggestion of clearing cache. Again the same issue has occurred in Nov. that's twice in 3 months. why change an app that was working well?

don't stay connected wish they go back to their old fitbit app. hate this got to refresh it so much before it will connect. if phone is connected when I use find my phone on my fitbit is want work.

Has lost all my data (years worth) prior to Oct 20th. Support have been slow and unhelpful to fix. No resolution yet, two weeks later. What's the point of offering a health tracking service if you can't track health? Would give this a zero if I could.

The Calorie Adjustment needs to have an off option. It might be great for some people but my doctor gave me a calorie goal with my activity factored in already. It's not helpful to be 500 cal from what I need but have the app tell me I still have 1500 left. There needs to be a way to delete set goals. I had goals set for many things over the years that I no longer care about but I'm still getting reminders about them. Setting them low is not a fix cuz you'll get notified a bunch for reaching it.

If you have a Pixel 3 watch and get up in the night to pee, this app will disable bedtime mode and wake you up with notifications, including a notification that you didn't get much sleep. The app itself impedes sleep.

it is not working properly, if user distance is calculated based on user steps, as per this application 1 step nearly 1 meter or more so 1000 steps means 1 km so it is calculating wrong from this month why i didn't know. Application not User friendly it looks and feels awful, previous features are removed that is not good because you remove user perspective to complete those steps. it is not any more good product/ application to use l.

its a good but funny app. i don't think it computes very well. this is the second time in 3 months that my app on my phone went black. i had to delete and then reinstate the app, hence losing the previous data.

Google’s acquisition of Fitbit replaced a functional health ecosystem with an unstable interface. Behavioral features like hourly step goals & comm. challenges were removed. The transition to the new layout degraded core functionality. Bkgd sync routinely fails, not even recovering after forced application stops or full system reboots. Instead of live metrics, Google Health displays white-screen freezes or stale, missing data. The platform fails its core purpose: seamless health tracking.

My third time uninstalling and reinstalling this app, seems to keep getting more and more glitchy which is too bad cuz it would be a really good app.

The old Fitbit app was way better, easier to read, more intuitive, and had no bugs. The updated UI layout is trash, I have notification issues I never had with the old app, and the weight tracking using averages on recent entries is frustrating. UPDATE RESPONDING TO DEVELOPERS: I've tried all troubleshooting tips I could find online and still get inconsistent reminders to move.

this app is incapable of tracking my sleep correctly. it is wrong on a daily basis. claims I'm awake when I'm asleep, even dreaming. it's been getting worse and since Oct 28 it has tracked my sleep incorrectly every single night.

The alarms for Fitbit Air stopped working. cannot add new ones and all old alarms are deleted

Unable to setup on my Google Pixel 6A. When I open the app on pixel 6A it does ask me to sign onto my google account. When I click continue it takes me to understand my Google Health page and info about Google's Privacy Policy. I am unable to activat the "Agree" button . My only option s to click on the policy which is endless. What do I do?

This app does not work well with my Fitbit Versa 4 watch. It does not stay connected & does not work as well as the old Fitbit app. It seems my only option is to enroll in Google Health Premium which has a monthly fee. I cannot do that. This is frustrating.

It wouldn't let me give it permissions and won't let me track my progress on Google. I don't trust other sources with these permissions much less for companies. 1 star because it doesn't operate on a moto phone.

every time I turn around this Fitbit is reading my messages. I disconnect it again and again and it keeps turning itself back on. I hate that! I don't want EVERYTHING to be tracked. Track my steps and leave my emails alone. That is so incredibly intrusive.

Got a Pixel watch for fitness tracking but this app is unusable. food tracking is painful. layout makes no sense. lacking so many basic features. Google, you failed big time. just bring back the last version of Fitbit.

Have had this for a couple months now since it replaced the Fitbit app but it seems to be less user friendly. Some features that used to be on my watch have either not transitioned over or been disabled - specifically cannot figure out how to set timer on watch and am not getting message or call notifications on my watch. Also had sleep data recorded several times which was very inaccurate as I do not wear my watch to sleep. The Fitbit app was way better.

this app is the pitts. The sleep function is way out ..An 8 hour sleep shows 3 hours on the app. other issues to many to mention. the Fitbit App was so much more accurate. I think I will have to change my watch .

Really poor design. it doesn't track fitness or sleep without WiFi. I'm surprised the designers think WiFi or data is always available. Maybe they don't get out much but a fitness tracker a d health monitor needs to work all th time.

today nov3 the app is all white when I open it, nothing shows. for 4 days now it hasn't been tracking anything, I have to manually log sleep but nothing shows today. I've cleared cache, restarted, etc etc

I like the original fit bit app better. There is no option for weigh-ins on my Aria 2 scale. I can't see my weight.. I have to put them in myself. I can't see any tracking system for sleep. I actually don't like this app at all. Please fix it. 😓

Can't even download the app anymore because it's "incompatible" with my device, even though I absolutely could before the rebrand. My Fitbit is now completely useless because I can no longer resync it and there is no other way to recalibrate the time. I'd give it zero stars I could. I should not need to rely on an app I can't download for a piece of physical hardware to function properly.

This app is completely garbage. It synced data from Health Connect once during initial setup and then completely stopped updating. Background sync doesn't work at all, making the whole integration pointless unless. get google fit instead

I miss the fitbit app

When it works, it's great. The last few months though, I've had to uninstall/reinstall at least once a week to get it to work.

Like other people I really resent the change over from the Fitbit app - this one doesn't make sense. I can't trim it down to the tiles I use without having gray blanks in the grid. The focus things dropped onto the second page of the grid and I can't find my critical heart bits easily. The UI is awful.

this app only allows you to record upto 8points per day and we do far more than it allows.

Mostly love using this app, but the AI coach needs some serious work. It's just not smart enough yet. The workout videos are great through the subscription though.

Not a fan, but Google purposefully deactivated functions on the old fitbit app to force users to migrate (not cool to do so sneakily like that), so I did. Now every couple of days the app won't open, the screen stays blank. Only fix I found is restarting the phone, because of that one app acting up. Get it together Google!

It took a little getting used to, and a few errors along the way, after the changeover from FitBit, but this does what I need it to very well.

Google should have never merged with Fitbit. I was already considering a Garmin before this and now it cements my decision. The Fitbit app was fine the way it was. And now the merge has actually lost features I really enjoyed.

I have been using this app for a few months now and I have had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. When I go to the icon to use it, I get a blank page. This has happened 4x now. It is frustrating. I plan I uninstalling permanently.

2026: You "upgraded" the app I thought I'd lost all my years of data. Buying elsewhere once this fitbit dies. 2025: The app now force closes itself when I try to use the period tracker. No way to use an online (nonapp) dashboard anymore. Now it sends me alerts that it's bedtime at 08:45AM 😫 2020: Fails to sync. I've followed all of the troubleshooting tips. But based on all of the reviews here I can see it is a design defect and not just my device.

terrible sync consistently. doesn't sync in the background, frequently loses ability to connect to my fitbit requiring a re-pair and lost data. lost connection also means no notifications going to the watch, or low battery alerts. Fitbit charge 2 and galaxy s25 ultra. to the ai that replied, I did all that... it didn't help. hence the review

worked with my Fitbit Inspire 2 now will not synch with it. seen elsewhere that no longer supported. No option to reinstall old fitbit app. Cannot see anwhere to claim cost of making my fitfit now useless. Google takover going well? 1 Where can I claim these costs? And I have Android 16. so now tried going back to previous phone and after repairing with that it works again. Yhat is Android 15. So something wromg with Android 16 version.

This app was 5 stars when it was Fitbit, but it's worthless since Google took it over. They changed practically everything, and every change made it worse.

It says this device is no more compatible with my Android Version. I can't keep buying new and updated phones just for using this app! It should run on my Android 10!

because it won't connect

This only happens twice a year, so I think you should know that the sleep tracker loses an hour when daylight savings time begins. I slept from midnight to about 6am this morning, and it said I only got 6 hours of sleep. Logic would dictate that will also gain an hour when it ends in the spring.

Multi-device syncing between the Edge and Air is completely broken.

horrible device and app

Just annoys me a bit sometimes when it fails to give accurate heart rate or record zone minutes. It's a Fitbit, it has to be perfect all the time.

Poor, recent update means I cannot get my Vitality app to connect. Google Heath says reconnect in partner app. partner app redirects back to Google Health.

Terrible app. Bugs and freezes. Not connecting to wifi. I'm disappointed in this app and google products.

Google health has become nothing more than a hostile takeover of a great app called Fitbit. Their metrics still screwed upl despite how many complaints you send. Google seems to want to call the shots to all your life. seems like Google doesn't care about the quality of any of their apps they just want you to use all of them because they want all your information........

crashes, and misses walks

Update: App randomly fails to open and sync now. Previous, still an issue: Alarms in the app and for my inspire 2 are suddenly erratic and won't sync and... can't even be deleted all of the sudden because of the syncing error. Furthermore, snoozing an alarm that DID manage to sync on my inspire 2 suddenly only makes it snooze for 1 minute rather than than the classic 9 minutes. No clue what happened. Have tried reinstalling app, factory reset, etc. Nothing works.

GPS accuracy has suddenly evaporated. Abysmal. 12km cycle route is now 3.5km apparently. It's actually over 6.5km as the crow flies.

This is the most unreliable app I've ever used. if I could give negative stars I would. this app reports my 8 hour sleep as a 16 minute nap, the night before a ten minute nap, after an 8+ hour sleep. I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps. under the sleep section, under view sources, the sleep data is imported by the app, yet reports it as a 16 minute nap!?!? FIX IT!

I like the app when it works, unfortunately it has a lot of bugs. I currently can't even access the app because it is stuck in a login loop. There is little to no support system to help with the technical problems of the app. Beyond the major technical problems and glitches you run into, the set up seems a little too chaotic to me, not as neat as I would've liked.

Spo2 reading not showing in the app. I have a Versa 2 with Spo2 clock face. It quit displaying in the 5 days ago. I've tried all kinds of things.

absolute rubbish. bring back the fit bit app. everything is all over the place. I have to scroll through 4 diffrent menus just to add some food. nothing is simple anymore. a day of using it now and its shocking. I'll be moving away from fit bit. so sad as I loved it still absolutely shocking. this app is so bad. the barcode scanner on the food items finds nothing

Nothing with food works! 😔 Shame!

This app has changed and is not as intuitive as it used to be. It used to be fairly seamless to check my metrics but now it feels very clunky and I don't use the app as often. I hope to see updates in the future for improvements.
