Like I get ads are apart of streaming now unfortunately which has defeated the original purpose, but can we get ads to other things besides just Ro. that's all I get for ads, obviously if they paid for that many spots there product is overpriced and that's what your mainly paying for. This just proved for me to avoid Ro and possibly the app. It's like torture hearing that Ro jingle three or four times in a row every time you play ads.

I went through Amazon prime video to subscribe. it wouldn't let me watch, just kept asking me to renew it again. did a hard start to the router and TV and nothing. tried it on the computer and it worked but I don't want to watch it on my computer. I also don't want to work this hard when there are so many programs available on apps I already have so after 40 minutes I cancelled my subscription . 3 stars is because I like a lot of their programs but doesn't help if I can't watch it

I only subscribe to this service to get deadliest catch, and then we unsubscribe till next season. That being said, EVERY time I open the app on the TV it says we need to download the newest version before we can open it. and the amount of commercials during the show is ridiculous, sometimes the commercials are longer than the time between commercials... on a paid app.

I love the content on this app. I think I wrote a review a few years ago about problems, but more recently, it's been working really well, until a few days ago. Suddenly, it's giving me an error message if I pause a show. I get an error message that says " this event has ended." Then it crashes and freezes and the only way to move it or go on watching is to uninstall/reinstall. So frustrating. i hope it gets fixed soon!

Although this channel is one of my favorites to view, it unfortunately is the worst app to utilize. After paying for this channel for several years, the technical issues I face daily are insurmountable. It has the recently viewed episodes on a list for you to easily pick up watching a show and not once has it picked up where I left off. It is always at least 10 episodes back and you can never find the spot you left off. What am I paying for??? Can we get a working app???

I previously wrote a review for this app but decided to delete and start over. I am giving 3 stars this time cuz I HATE the current format of app. It's much harder to scroll thru shows/movies and is too similar to Max app, which I also can't stand for same reason. Please go back to the other version or make scrolling thru shows easier. Finding what I want 2 watch is a nightmare, especially if title begins with a letter at end of alphabet. Still love shows on here, though!

While I like the programming of shows available (albeit it sucks that you advertised initially reruns of past shows, and yet when it comes to something like forged in fire, you actually only have 2 seasons available), but my main complaint is that your app on my roku smart TV keeps closing for no reason. Not cool. Especially if I am paying a subscription price for having access to your programming. Also, I'm still experiencing the same streaming issues, despite the app being updated.

I've had Discovery+ for a few years now. I've noticed, though, that some of the shows I like used to have all the seasons. Now, those shows only have one season anymore. 1st, it was missing one season, I've gone back to watch, and now they only have one season left out of 4. I don't know if it's a network issue or if it's a platform issue. With the price continuing to go up, It would be nice to still have every season of the show. I've noticed this on more than one show. Will end up dropping.

I'm now being asked to log in every time I want to use the app, both on my phone and my roku devices. It's really, really annoying and sometimes means I watch other streaming services instead. And if I don't use a service, I won't keep it. At the very least, you could make the log in easier with a qr code. But, really, I don't understand why you would log me out of devices that are associated with my home and always have been.

When I first subscribed and downloaded this app it was amazing. My favorite app to use as well. Endless shows, new shows and documentaries. Now, there is barely anything new. Also hate that I can't use picture in picture anymore. I have checked all my settings, turned the feature off and then back on and it still doesn't work. Disappointing especially with the price increase. I understand that companies have to keep up with inflation, but if that's the case then at least have new content.

I really want to like it more... but, it has some flaws. Obviously, if you're familiar with Discovery+, you know it has a wide selection, which is great. However, my number one issue is that there is no picture-in-picture for Android phones! If you have iPhone, no problem, but not for Android. Pretty odd and super inconvenient. Everytime I end up having to do anything else on my phone, it rarely starts back at the same place I left off, and usually not even the same episode.

The ads constantly freeze. To rectify this, you have to back out of the ads/show. Then, when you go back in, the ads restart and force you to watch them over again. This can happen multiple times in a row, causing you to watch ads for 10 minutes.Update: 1/20/25 The app on all of my TVs and phone continues to freeze during ads. Now, you don't have to rewatch the ads. You just have to go back out of the show and back in after every ad plays. 🥴 Clearing cache doesn't help! Fix the app.

So, over the course of a 2 year subscription I've seen shows taken down, a hike in subscription cost and more and more adds. In short, less content, more cost and more forced adds. At this point, I'm watching whatever new episodes of my favorite shows, that have been canceled, that they decide to air, and canceling my subscription.

Been trying to change to ad free for a week now...it's virtually impossible. Way too many ads, but love all the shows you have on here. Their live chat was not working right. I followed the directions to change my subscription and after I cancel my subscription, there's no option to upgrade. Other than that great app.

I like the app with the exception of logging in. Why in this day and age is there no QR code to log in?? I have to literally type in every letter and there isn't even the .Gmail, .Yahoo options. It's the most unnecessary process. Also, everything always says "new episode" when in fact it isn't new, I've already watched it. Could use lots of fixes

Rating from 5 stars to 2. What the heck happened!? The app is terrible, crashes, glitches, and navigating your account is impossible! They charged me 4.99 for ads, I didn't want that, I always paid 8.99, now I'm stuck with it because you can simply upgrade in the app and i have to go online, using desktop mode on my phone in order to access my account. Then you still can't change it! I deactivated my account, idk if I'll make a new one to be honest. Hopefully they can fix this mess of an app

Used to be an okay app. Only syncs to where you left off half the time. But now its worse. I get a pop up on the app literally every 20 seconds (not exagerrating), to watch shark week with jason momoa. No matter how many times i close it. Because of this i cant scroll through my things and choose what i want to watch. Considering just keeping the Max app that has most of these shows anyway with no problems there and closing my account with you.

Update: thanks very much for your rapid response. I dug around some more and was finally able to cancel. I wish I could keep it but I'm budgeting around a fixed income. That's the only reason I had to unsubscibe. Thanks ---------- When you want to unsubscribe, the app puts you in the Play Store. My subscription doesn't appear there. The Play Store shoots you back to the app... repeat ad nauseum. Of course there's no help or contact link anywhere. Once they gotcha, they gotcha. Very frustrating!

they cancelled my subscription. I have been trying to figure out how to update my payment Information and can't seem to. I go to the website , it just brings up the app, downloaded the app, it doesn't have anything on there about my stuff except my next payment is May 18....so why was it cancelled to begin with!? And why can't I seem to find anyplaxe to see my account details or payment ?? Uhhg at this point it doesn't matter...too many other apps to watch to have to deal with the frustration.

It runs smooth, but It didn't have all the seasons of a show I wanted to see. Some shows only had 1 season, and it might be the first or last you never know what it will be. They should implement the ability to search for the show you want to see so you can make a decision as to what they have and If it's worth your time and money to subscribe. Example :I wanted to watch seasons 2-9 they only have season 5, but I didn't know that until I was subbed Cause you can't get passed the sub window.

Frustrating , I've been a customer for over a year and this evening I went on my tablet to watch the channel. According to you my subscription is inactive. The only problem with that is you are continuing to take money out of my acct!!!!! So really it doesn't matter if I watch discovery+ one time a year. If I'm paying for the subscription I shouldn't have to redo anything...

Ridiculous. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. If I could give y'all zero stars I would!! I want my money back for these past three months of having issues after issue with this app! Nothing ever works. I tried not only on my phone but multiple other devices and after different locations (meaning I used different wifi connections as well). And yet it's the same issues. So it is not my devices or my wifi connections. I will be canceling my membership for good.

I have been wanting to cancel my subscription but can not because it sends me from the website to Google Play Store, and it is not listed under my subscriptions. You should either be able to cancel while in the app or on the website so you don't have to do all this searching. Honestly, I feel like their giving you the run around so you get fed up and don't cancel so they can make more money.

I love discovery, but had to change my card info and it has been ridiculous! They paused my account even though my info was changed before payment was due! Now I cannot resubscribe! It will not let me do anything and I've done everything it's told me to do! Would be nice to talk to an actual person to fix this, but apparently that's not possible so I'll no longer have discovery + and that sucks!!!

Worst customer service ever. I was unable to log on to my account and the only customer service option is chat. They couldn't help me so they scheduled a phone call. I received an email the day after my scheduled call never happened, saying sorry my call couldn't be completed, asking for my phone number, time zone, and best time to call. For almost a week now I receive several daily emails asking me for more info. I've responded over and over and over and over but they keep brushing me off.

Was a good app up until 2 days ago. Can't even access it anymore. It will not open on my phone or TV anymore...just keep sitting there spinning and spinning like it's loading but never opens, same thing on my phone. All other apps work perfectly fine and open right away. Gonna have to cancel 3 memberships as my family members have the same issue for 2 days now...ZERO STARS!!!!

Terrible! it loves to show me commercials its very good at that, if its sole purpose was to play commercials it would get 5 stars. The app doesn't save where u were and always starts at the beginning, and freezes after or right before commercials thus allowing you the privilege of watching them again. The content available is fine and is not the problem its the apps ability to "function". Again the commercials work just fine so if u like commercials u will love this app!

I had discovery plus. Turned it on. Said problem with payment method. Put in all my information including new credit card to use for my payment. Still can't sign it says sorry we can't complete your purchase right now. Please try again later. We've tried at least 8 times it still says the same thing. Very frustrating.

Very buggy on android at least for casting. Everything plays fine and then the ads come in and don't stop repeating until you have to move the playhead. It's like that on the desktop site as well except you have to refresh the page. Also ads just don't load sometimes and you get an additional ad that pops up when you normally pause that just sticks on the screen. Other buggy things too but those being the most noticeable.

Very buggy, won't even stay open now. "More info" button is visible even when no ad is playing but only sometimes, seasons and episode numbers are constantly messed up. Tilt for full screen can never make up it's mind and freaks out (and it's only this app). Getting to the point where I might as well end my subscription and save some money and read a book. They tend not to be buggy.

This app seems buggy at times and I find myself having to restart the app to get it to work right without freezing. However when it works, it works really good. I wish this app was like others that have Picture in Picture to allow for you to multitask if you're using a mobile phone or tablet. I'm able to multitask on YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and my IPTV service.

I cancelled cable because everything I watch is offered on Discover and the last month or two, the app constantly lags. While watching a show, the show will restart at random. Also, randomly a commercial will pop up while its not time for a commercial. The app never saves where you are in the shows on continue watching. I have to write down the minutes, get to that point on my phone, and then bring it up on the tv to watch. This is so ridiculous and annoying.

First year the app was flawless. Past 6 months im having same problems as most others here seem to he having. Freezing and crashing non stop. Giving 3 stars because it works on laptop and home tv fine. I tried to circumvent App and watch through website on a browser but you took away that option too.... Ill give it 2 more weeks then will cancel if not fixed. While you're at it maybe a download option and an ability to turn off Autoplay.

I use this more than any other video streaming app. It says Discovery+, but it has tons of other networks included and the cost is so low. Well worth it. I have looked at a lot of other reviews where people complained about it being glitchy, not keeping tabs on where you left off in a show, or just not working at all. I have to say, that i dont come across thos issues, and I use it on my phone and T.V.

In the beginning, Discovery+ was great! But...for the last month, we have been having so much trouble with getting Discovery+ to work AT ALL!!! I'm paying a monthly fee, for what?!?! Can't get ANYTHING TO COME UP!!!! And I have already been in contact with customer support. She walked us through everything, and it played one show right, and then went right back to not letting us access any shows!! I am ready to cancel my subscription and go with something else!

Compared to other streaming platforms, this video player and the menus are sub-par. If there was a way to have more control over the content you see instead of the app jamming shows you don't want to see down your throat, that would be great. Every time an episode that I want to watch ends it tries to play the same episode of the of a different show that I have no interest in watching. There should be a way to hide content I don't want to see.

Update: My review was made when the app first came out and that's when Chopped was not available on demand...you had to wait for it to "stream". Anyway that's changed now. However I am still not loving that there are no filters. I don't want to see the "Naked and Afraid" series or ones like it pop up. I wish there was a way to filter that stuff out. Other than that the app is great and Discovery Plus has a lot to offer.

Content is what you expect from an the app. The app itself hasn't figured out the basics however. Stop watching half way through and want to continue where you left off? Too bad, start from the beginning. Want to fast forward? Can't do that. If it works you will have to rewatch all the adds if you have the cheapest version of the app. But only if it works because more often than not it doesn't, no matter how much you pay. Just jumps you back to the beginning each time.

Fix the constance issues! The app constantly glitches. It will start shows/movies over when you're halfway through. It constantly has the same apps over and over and they go on for several minutes, the apps cut into the show while people are talking, it constantly freezes, and sometimes it will exit the app all together. I've tried troubleshooting and worn out all my options. Emails won't help resolve anything. People are paying for this monthly service and won't keep paying for poor quality.

The app doesn't even work. I tried resetting my phone, the app and uninstalling and redownloading it again to see if it would work... and nothing. It won't play anything at all, it's just the episode menu and a black loading screen. Only way to watch anything is on the website, TV, or a computer as of right now. I hope they indeed fix this issues so I may change my review. But so far this app is broken.

This app is so unstable that it's almost unusable. It stops working while you're watching a program and just buffers, and when the commercials play, you never know where the program will resume playing once they're finished. In addition to those issues, the audio and video get out of sync often. The issue isn't with my internet because I have done speed tests and my other devices work without any issues. I definitely won't be renewing my Discovery+ subscription.

Overall, I like the app. It's easy to use, has the shows I want to watch at my fingertips, etc. The CC are easy to read; however, they are sometimes too fast for the audio of some shows (Reasonable Doubt) or wrong altogether (Ghost Hunters Classic). My only (and main) complaint is that it does not have a pop out feature where I can, for instance, respond to a text message without having to close the app or pause the video and then load back in.

I haven't had any issues with this app until the last few days. It happens when I'm watching it on my TV (not when using it on my phone) and it's the only app I watch that's been doing it. It's mostly during the ads, but will sometimes happen during whatever show I'm watching. The picture will freeze, but the audio will keep playing as it's supposed to. It's been happening constantly. Nothing I've tried is stopping the issue.

It's ok, depending on your interests. Playback struggles often. It's not my connection, bc I'll switch to other streamers when it gets too laggy, & encounter no further issues. Also, a request: please give us the option to disable autoplay! I'm so tired of shows automatically playing when they're not even on my watch list. Stop trying to make me watch Sister Wives; it's *never* gonna happen.

This used to be a fantastic service but in the last couple of months I havnt been able to watch ANYTHING without the app on my TV crashing after 1 or 2 minutes of playing a show. It just closes back to the home screen. No error. No NOTHING. And when I go back into the show, it starts over from the beginning! On the EXTREMELY rare occasion it does play longer, the episode will skip back randomly and play the same segment over and over. I'm a pretty patient person but I can only handle so much.

I love Discovery! I tried it for the free trial and didn't really think I was going to keep it but I did. I've had a subscription for 3 or 4 months and its definitely worth the $4.99 per month. Very reasonable price, the app always works great with no interruptions, and the content is great! Lots of interesting television shows and documentaries...something for everyone to love!

If I could give it a minus zero I would. I have tried numerous times to create an account but it keeps turning me down saying I must have 1 capital letter, 1 lowercase letter, plus at least 8 caricatures. I do that but it refuses me. That's very upsetting to me because I happen to like discovery. After reading other reviews you guys apparently have a lot of issues with this app. I will not recommend this app period until you get your act together!!!!

The app stopped working, it gives me error codes, will not let me log in, tells me my payment needs to be updated so I re-entered my debit card, now it says my debit is invalid. I even tried to sign up with a different email and it still just kept taking me in circles. Two days, still not working. Not getting feedback when sending a help email. I would cancel my subscription but I cannot log in and manage account. So frustrating!!

I love watching the ID Channel on this app. I watch mainly on the TV. However I have a problem when it is time for the adds. They won't load and it will completely freeze. I have to exit and restart at least 3 or more times just to finish a 45 min episode. Sometimes shows won't play at all. I have to exit the app and restart it and it still won't work.

Thank goodness you offer a 7 day trial. I would be ticked off right now if I'd paid for a streaming app that doesn't stream anything. It lists "Collections" but no videos come up. Tried searching for "Reno my rental" (the reason I downloaded the app and to see what else it offered) and it couldn't even find it. Wish I'd looked at the reviews first. It looks like everyone is experiencing the same problem. Deleting app n cancel trial. Suggest u fix it fast B4 u lose new & current subscribers.

Yup seems I'm not the only one with this problem of not being able to cast. Yes I tried everything in the books to reset it. Factory resetting Chromecast, uninstall and reinstall the app. Resetting my router. Nothing works. It's not my Chromecast because everything else can cast to it YT, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Hope this issue gets fixed soon as I really love all the shows on here but kinda don't want to pay if I can't cast to my tv.

POS verification. Not content with "normal" verification methods D+ uses a POS "roll the object until correctly orientated". Failed every time. Every time you fail it adds another object, first 3, then 4, then 5. Unistalled app rather than suffer anymore. Will sign on with my computer and cancel service. Wanted to watch something relaxing, instead I ended up frustrated.

Useless if you have a Lenovo Android tablet. Black screen and just audio plays, so it seems like a drm issue or something. Either way, for a paid service that doesn't work on a variety of devices, where's the money going? Please fix. And yes, I've already tried the whole reinstall, clear cache, etc tricks. Netflix, Hulu, and all other streaming apps work fine. The only way I can play discovery is through the mobile site.

This app crashes every 2 - 7 minutes, with a message saying it's lost internet access. There is no interruption in internet/wifi, and I don't get this issue while using Discovery+ on other devices. My phone is a few years old, but I've never had such constant issues with any other streaming app on it (within 20 minutes of one show, the app crashed 5 times).

What is going on?? I downloaded it, added my paypal information, tried to sign in but the user name and password is not working! It isn't typing it. There were 2 unidentifiable symbols out of all my info, only 2 on the whole line, and kept telling me incorrect user name. It wouldn't enter any of my information. I don't want it if there is bugs like that!! They have my PayPal information. I hope I'm not charged!

I got this app so that I could watch the different shows. However it doesn't allow you to watch all of the shows and it doesn't show all the episodes in some of the seasons from the different TLC shows. You can only watch certain current episodes or shows even though we've paid for the higher service. Also the it keeps freezing as you're watching it and It's not the internet connection because nothing else has this problem just the discovery plus does.

Don't get the cheap subscription with commercials!! There's way too many commercial breaks and I'm going to pull my hair out if I see Jake from State Farm or that annoying Kohl's ad with that stupud song about leaving your worries on the doorstep!!!! I arranged for my subscription to end in June then the next day I'm signing up for the commercial free version. I'd rather pay more money than watch the same annoying commercials over and over and over!!! But I do enjoy the app's content.

PLEASE FIX!!! Any time the show goes to an ad it NEVER works! It just freezes on a black screen and the only way to fix it it to exit out the show and hope when you go back to it that it's already past the commercial. It is VERY annoying and makes it near impossible to watch anything. It does this on the computer as well. Please fix and will rate it 5 stars.

I'm having the same issue as a lot of people. Worked great, then stopped. I can watch the shows on my phone, hit the casting button and then it gives me the "unknown error". Very frustrating. Ive cleared my cache, etc and still doesn't work and my internet connection is great. And, all my other apps work (HBO, Disney, Amazon prime, Netflix, Hulu). My TV is a Vizio, phone is a Samsung 8+

Worked fine until a week ago. Now when casted to television it comes up with an error for any show trying to watch. I have contacted discovery+ 3 times with NO fixing of the problem. They ask the same questions and I give the same answers and still have not heard from them. But they have no problems with charging my credit card for a streaming service I can't use the way I want to. No actual phone number to contact them either everything is through email. Will be canceling for refund!

UPDATE: despite trying to fix issues through tech. Nothing seems to work. Got stuck paying subscription for 1 month and couldn't even make it through a show and now it won't work on chrome cast. So disappointing So glitchy. Content freezes. Double commercials (will play through and immediately restart). Takes forever to load. Don't anticipate continuing with subscription, not worth it when you can barely make it through 1 show without having tech issues.

Nice when it works. App isn't working when casting to my TV it says Error Code:Unknown Error. I've cleared my device cache and data and it still doesn't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone multiple times. I've tried using the app from a different device with the same results. I've restarted my phone and reset and restarted my TV and nothing is working. I'm getting frustrated paying for an app that is no longer working and I have not had issues until the last update.

It won't let people cancel. You should put a link to cancel. It's too elaborate and difficult to cancel. It is inconvenient to do so, just as most businesses like it. The steps to refer to the right area are not precise in wording. They are lacking. That's why I'll tell people to stay away. 1 star. Thanks, but I don't want to put any more effort into this. Just as many other people are reporting, the video freezes during ads, especially on the chromecast. I thought I could get around this by upgrading to ad free but Jesus Christ there is absolutely no way to upgrade your subscription. I have tried the app, google play, the website and even trying to change it from the Roku app. Every time it says it has to be changed in google play but there is no way to do it in google play! I try unsubscribing but it puts you back to your old subscription!

The app constantly crashes. I paid for the membership and it does not allow me to watch any of the shows, save any to a Playlist, and constantly kicks me to a 'Subscription inactive' page (I'm assuming this is because it automatically gives the 7 day trial). I have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions. I do love the variety of shows. Hopefully the next update will fix a lot of the bugs.

I would like to just be able to watch all of my shows in 1 app. I don't understand why some shows are on the Go apps and some are on doscovery+ and that my discovery+ subscription does not apply to the Go apps. The dumbest thing i have ever seen. You have to guess which app the seasons of your show will be on. And you're paying for a group of networks but in reality you're not subscribing to all of their content. Very disappointing.

(Revised review) I've had Discovery Plus for a few months and I love it. I've had a little issue in the beginning where the shows I watch would pause for a couple seconds and it would skip over a couple seconds, so I would miss whatever occurred in that point of time. I contacted discovery plus about the issue and about a couple weeks later, the app functions like normal so I don't miss anything. And the best part is, I can watch my favorite shows on my phone when I'm working out at the gym!

Wish I would of looked at reviews before purchasing. Lagging is roughly 10 minutes long per lag, it restarts all the time, or just repeats 30 second segments. (Latest one was 52 times before I had to push forward and then repeat ads.) Yhis was the biggest waste of money. Emailed corporate and they didn't seem to care, please use your free apps like I used to do.. 1000 times better than paying for this bs to keep happening. Oh, then I get the automatic response when you see the same below 🙄

Even if you have the BEST data plan, this app will eat it like crazy. I've had the Straight Talk unlimited plan, for 8+ years. I also have Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, Tubi and YouTube. I never reached my data cap until I got Discovery Plus. I am almost always streaming one of those apps, and never ran into a problem. Within two weeks of having Discovery Plus, I had to buy more data, and eventually pay for a whole new refill. Cancelled and Uninstalled. No problems since!

I like this app, but I feel like there should be every season of shows that are on discovery. I should be able to go to a specific season of something and watch it. I love 90 day fiance and fixer upper. 90 day fiance only has a channel that shows one episode at a time, you can't even choose an episode. Fixer upper only has 4 episodes total. And there are other shows the same way. It is something that is most likely going to be a deal breaker for me.

I am THOROUGHLY impressed by and enjoying this service! Oh, how I wish other stations were under the Discovery+ platform! I appreciate the menus, the setup, search function and I paid extra for no commercials!! I'm in Heaven! The only thing I don't like is that they don't have current episodes of some of my faves, so I have to watch on the individual station's streaming app, which means WITH commercials. 😒 Otherwise, I'm very happy, indeed. I've been learning about things I didn't know. 😊💜👍

Works great on my TV, which I bought with Roku installed but on my cell... HORRIBLE! Have tried uninstalling numerous times, using over cellular data only, over WiFi only, you name it, I've tried it. Still major glitcy...get 20 seconds of content then have the pleasure of watching a circle go round for 2 plus minutes then program stops. I sure wouldn't release an App unless it was working with at least 95% accuracy. Can't believe Discovery released this app when it works so badly! Ridiculous!

I absolutely love this app. I've only had the not-loading issue once and that went away after a day and never happened again. I'm very picky about the streaming services I have and this one is absolutely amazing, especially for $6.99 for no ads! I think a lot of the bugs people are reporting are just the normal growing pains of a new, popular product and will be worked out soon. The only thing that could make it better would be allowing Picture in Picture so I can still watch and check texts!

We use the app on smart tv. It works just fine except for 1 glaring fault. Why in the world is the Continue Watching so buried? This should be on top, the first thing you see when you log on. Pro Tip: just take a look at how Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Disney Plus does it..like they all do it. As a cable subscriber, Discovery Plus should be thrown in. Double Dipping.

When I go to my apps and click on the discovery plus icon it just takes me to the link to down load it even though it says it's already downloaded. Guess I'm just going to remove it and not have discovery plus at all...can't justify paying $5.00 a month to not be able to watch it...thank you very much discovery plus! Tried clearing the cashe...did not help. Just going to have to cancel it all together. Really wish it would work.

No was to unsubscribe on Android. Can't unsubscribe from the discovery plus website and can't unsubscribe from my app store either. When I go to manage subscriptions and click on the Discovery plus app, there's no way to cancel my subscription. Keep getting an infinite loop of "manage subscriptions" with no resolution. I'm stuck with this and can't get rid of it. 😡

I have been very disappointed so far with Discovery plus! I signed up for the no ads/commercials and the first show I watched went great. Now every time I try to watch something it gets hung up frequently and makes it frustrating to watch anything with all of the pausing and the little circle going around in my screen. I also subscribe to Prime which works much better with none of the above issues. I also hate that there are no air dates, episodes identified, or any description of the show/episo

It's so blurry! Every once in awhile it clicks into a clear view, can't read the subtitles etc. It feels like I am watching an old family movie because of the picture. I cast it to my television so at first something was wrong with my system but I ruled out it being my device because the menus and the screen where it says Discovery plus are clear as a bell. Plus very frustrating that I pay for dish and none of the new content is there, have to buy this in order to see new episodes. Ridiculous.

Already subscribed to a poorly run streaming TV service (AT& TTVNOW). Now they want us to pay an extra $4.99 for each of the same channels and programs we already watch but under a "NEW" episode title. Then cost goes up to $6.99. Those who can afford get the best new shows. Those who can't get leftovers. Rich for the rich. Pay twice for the shows you're already paying once for. Not worth it. Not recommended. Uninstalling. TOO GREEDY. They're going to lose a lot of viewers and subscribers.

Free trial is up and may get rid of it. Watching via this app on my cell is impossible. It's constantly saying there is no internet connection when indeed I'm on WiFi at full strength. Most of the time the shows don't even start and if they do I get the no internet connection complaint. Also, I figured all shows that used to be on TLC, for example, would be featured but that's not true. Lots of shows not even on here.

wish I could get the shows that are on live tv (like how about just the original shows and not just the spin-offs). would be 4 1/2 if so. the picture quality goes very pixilated on my phone, smart tv and laptop, in several different locations, so the quality will need to be worked on as well. I also get error messages that kick me out of the app. Eventually we hope it is fixed and we get all the shows. otherwise, may not be worth it to keep. a continue watching section is needed as well.

House Hunters on this app is TERRIBLE!!!! They repeat the same episodes within the same week. If I'm paying to be able to access the WHOLE library not have you run a "24 hour loop" (which is really more like 4 hour loop). Please just make all the episodes available for us subscribers to be able to play on our own like other shows on the app.

My biggest issue is that I cannot control my 'Keep Watching' tab. It will show the same program multiple times with different episodes. I have even had the problem of it not saving my progress so the next time I watch it starts the whole episode over again. Which doesn't seem like a big deal but imagine this happening for every show. I think this application was pushed out way before it was ready. It lacks the basics needed for a streaming network and makes me appreciate Netflix and Hulu more.

They took my payment out then cancelled me for non payment. They said there were multiple attempts to take payment and my bank said that was untrue, only the 1 attempt which was processed. I even provided a snap shot of my bank account showing the posted transaction. There is no customer service number for Discovery plus, like no way to speak to a person. Your only option is the help email. I am super frustrated right now. If they hadn't just taken my money I would cancel immediately.

The app is generally solid, but streaming to a Chromecast is troublesome— have to play before casting and it eventually disconnects while the show is still playing. It also doesn't allow for video quality control, and has managed to almost double my normal data usage for streaming even though devices are limited to 1080p HD. Update: Contacted technical support for the data usage issue, only response they had was that there was no fix for this and they may consider adding it in the future.

Update, the user interface is still not user friendly. Make a shortcut to get back to main menu instead to pressing the back button over and over. The "house hunters international" channel is getting better, it was horrible. Can't skip an episode or pause, rewind, forward etc. Still can't choose which episode I want to watch, only given one option like many other shows. Changes are being made so I'll keep it for now. Increasing my rating by one star.

With so much competition. I don't see why Discovery came out with a $6.99 ad-free version considering Apple TV+ is $4.99 ad-free. I did cancel them to test out Discovery+. The major gripe I have is It's missing episodes as well as seasons of old shows. This might get corrected in the future but as of now this is what it is. Also there's no live streaming of channels at this time. Finding specific shows and episodes is pretty hard and confusing. Honestly the whole app needs a overhaul.

The shows are great! My only complaint is the picture quality & the sound syncing. You're watching an ep, or maybe you have already watched three or four, and then suddenly the picture gets very pixilated and the sound gets off track. And then it will continue on to every ep after that. Doesn't matter if you are on wifi or not, you change from your phone to the tv and its still happen. Reboot, refresh cache, nothing. Not back to normal until next day and then inevitably it gets bad again.

It keeps having "technical difficulties" whether on the phone or the tv, it's very frustrating. It also shuts down my hotspot on my tv, I had no problems streaming anything until I downloaded this app. There also isn't new shows, it just like Discovery's version of Netflix. Update: How can it not sound right if I'm not the only one saying it and I don't know how much more I can explain.

After reading all the reviews I was skeptical about the Discovery Plus app but I signed up anyway. I have 3 Roku devices, a Samsung Tab A tablet and a Samsung Galaxy A20 phone. I don't have any of the problems listed by other reviewers. No closed CC comes up on either device and I have the option to resume where I left off. Even if I go from the Roku to my phone it still lets me resume from where I left off on the Roku. I hope everyone gets their problems fixed. It's a great app.

I cannot watch a show seamlessly on Roku. It will pause about midway through, some circle-y thing will spin, and then it will return me to a previous spot. Sometimes as far back as 20 minutes prior. I'm continually having to FF to try to find the spot I left off at. Only to have it happen again and again. It's definitely not a relaxing viewing experience when I have to fight to get through an episode.

There are ALOT of ads on the $4.99 plan. Granted, they are only 1 minute long- it is quite often. Also, when trying to change to the ad fee plan I was given no option to do so in my android app. All the help articles indicate that there should be an option in the account settings but there isn't. When I try to change on a desktop, it says that it must be changed in the app. Also rewinds itself quite often when casting. Closed captions won't stay off either. Lots of bugs to be worked out.

I was really excited and was all in to pay the $6.99 to watch add free. Then I found out my Samsung Smart TV isn't smart enough since it was made before 2017. Seriously? I will NOT buy a new TV so that I can use the app and I will not stream it from my phone when I should be able to watch on my TV. Disney+ works just fine on my TV- Discovery needs to do better for customers that pay for their channels through cable already.

I really want to like Discovery+, but after a week of my free trial I will not be continuing with a paid subscription. The user interface is very buggy and difficult to navigate. Every show we watched had audio issues and shows would randomly freeze for a few seconds and then jump ahead. It also would forget where I left off and then force me to rewatch ads just to be able to fast forward to where I was. There's also no frame preview when fast forwarding or rewinding, which is very frustrating.

I'm using discovery+ on my firestick and so far I love it. Almost all my favorite shows (a few are coming soon) on my favorite networks. This service was made for me! Cons: when scrolling through the shows after you add one to your list it goes all the way back to where you started. It would be nice to be able to hit the back button and it goes to exactly where you were. Besides the monthly pay option it would be great if you could choose to pay for the whole year. Great app!

So far I'm giving it a 3 due to the fast forward and rewind. On my Roku TV I cant rewind nor fast forward very far before it freezes. I cant get to the place where I have left off when I fall asleep the night before! I try to go forward even a little bit, it freezes. I have to exit and go back and sometimes it's approx where I tried to get it and other times it starts over. Then if I've gone too far, rewind does the same thing. Also takes forever to do both. Have to hold the button down FOREVER

Update: I ended up having to go into my internet browser and sign up as I could not do it through the actual application. Thus far it does have shows I want to watch. I could see between Discovery +, Netflix and Amazon Prime video I could get rid of Disof 2 stars. Trying to sign up and it says once I hit agree and continue that I agree to everything...well there is no button to click that says "Agree and continue " so I am stuck on the sign up page. I have uninstalled and re-installed

Ok, I was (am) so excited for this! I was able to stream in the app no problem, but trying to Cast was not happening. First you have to start the show from the app on your device, then the option to Cast pops up? Weird. Second, closed captioning comes on and off without prompting and 3rd, it's constantly loading or dropping the connection while Casting. Super frustrating, I gave up. I know this is a new streaming service, so I will give it some time but man, it's super buggy.

Yes, it is brand new, but I've loaded it on two Rokus and on my android phone. Yes, it is a paid service, but the access to material, is substantial, and the app works very well on at least these two platforms (no weird crashes). Also, if I pause an episode on one device, then I go to another, it is instantly in the right place. I can't tell you how convenient this consistency is. If these guys add Motor Trend, I'll have no problem paying even a little bit more.
