I love Digimon but I'm tired of games being used by big biz as a vehicle for datafarming and what is essentially spyware.

App never started, had to uninstall, didn't worked, after days tried again, all my data is lost; no easy way to report that to them

Was not what I was hoping for, wanted more of a virtual pet, this is just another clone, with overpriced in game currency, such a shame, at least its an official digimon game I suppose. update after a few days, I've never said a bad thing about bandai before but honestly they should be ashamed. Absolute disgrace, clearly no thought gone into this one and you'd think depending on what stage the digimon is it would decide the rarity, nope 🤦🏻 proper random with horrendous pull rates on summons.

I'm re doing my review bc the game has potential but is failing. no more new partner digimon eggs. it gets rather dull and boring. the servers are dieing. and the devs seem not to even care about digimon enough to tale the game farther. it has potential and I'd they care about the fans they will do the game justice and take some time to come up with new ideas, or a new game all together. with love, a very concerned fan (since the 90s I been around for digimon)

well my game is back I can finally play again however because I uninstalled and reinstalled it and I forgot to link it my account is gone forever all the money that I spent gone and there's no easy way to recover it I have a picture of my old account but it's impossible to find customer service so one star I give up im uninstalling not even going to bother anymore

backed up data through the data link on the Bandai site just to get told I have to fill out an entire sheet of very specific things in order to back up my data. my previous phone's battery exploded, and in my naivety I didn't physically write down my phone's OS, didn't mark on my calendar the exact date I started playing, and couldn't recall the exact stage I was on at the time, my exact tamer level, about how many emeralds I've spent. absolute lunacy: now my data is gone. horrible app.

After the most recent android update the game is completely unplayable. It crashes to homescreen ~5 seconds after launching the game. While simple, I thoroughly enjoyed this game and I'm hoping that this issue gets fixed. I will happily change my review score once the game becomes actually playable again. EDIT: Game launches, but it wiped 100% of my progress, don't even bother playing this slop

I'm over 100 hours into the game and it's honestly not entertaining anymore. The events are lack luster and they is essentially no community. This game simply overwhelms you with content early on only to have 30 minutes of endgame content daily with no real reward for sticking with it.

I had a really good time. I've played for almost 6 months, but then the game stopped working. I tried to report it but it wouldn't go through so I'm pretty upset about it. Since it hasn't been fixed for a week now I'm probably not going to play anymore. Such a waste of time. this is like 2 weeks later but It finally worked, but i lost all my progress. I'm definitely mad, so i won't be playing this game again don't waste your time.

Bug not allowing past initial screen before force shitdown has left me unable to play for over a week now. If you dont have this problem you are lucky, clear cache uninstall doesnt do anything. I personally cannot recommend the game and it is extremely repetitive.

I'm rating 1 star because no stars isn't an option. This game has been broken for Android users for over a week, with no fix at all. Even worse, there's not even been a response from the devs regarding the issue. I can't even put into words how aggravating this is. What about our clubs? What about all the money we've spent on coins that we can't even get into the game to use??? The devs should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

I am happy to have another Digimon game, but I do have a few gripes. First, this should be labeled as a Gatcha or Idle game, as there's not much Role )lay involved. Second, there's a massive missed opportunity with the evolutions. Digimon's biggest selling point is the creativity and possibilities, so the linear evolution paths are a bit disappointing. Finally, regarding the Halloween event, stages 4 and 5 don't work as a memory game if we don't see what cards are where. Fun, but not perfect.

Like many others the game has not loaded for a week+ Sucks I was making it a habit to play daily to get the dailies done. I was loving this game. I enjoyed leveling the Digimon partners and then raising friendship with them to get outfits. Love trying to perfect my builds and see numbers and survivability increase. However with an game like this daily logins/events are very important to stay relevant. There has been a great number of complaints of the game crashing and not able to be ran. There has not been a single acknowledgement anywhere, it's been over a week. Very disappointing and neglectful to ignore us.

I put up with the lack of content because I like Digimon, but having an update that bricks the game on a percentage of the player base and having no fix for it is unacceptable. Uninstalling.

Back to not loading at all, seems to be an issue for lots of Android users on newer firmware. Not a peep from the devs, which is unfortunate as previously they were at least acknowledging the issues and seemed to be on top of it. I really like the game itself, but after an update a week ago. I am still unable to actually play. the game crashes everytime. after a week still no fix. I am highly debating just uninstall and abandoning it.

Game fun WHEN IT WORKS. currently alot of players having game crash when they try log in for a week and not one comment from Digimon up development team saying they are working on fixing the issue. for a game as young as this one to have servers with 20ish active players each. think fixing log in issues would be a big deal. 1star for the pixel, but until the development team communication and fixing bugs improves. I can't recommend the game at this time.

I'm a huge digimon fan and I love that you can start with my favorote Digimon, Renamon. :) The game loop is okay, a bit repetitive and the numbers don't always make sense. Overall I'd say it is a 3/5 for what it is. Edit: Unfortunately, the game hasn't let me login for several days now as it keeps crashing before it can even load in. Updating the game didn't solve the issue, neither did teinstalling it, clearing the cache, disabling DNS, or any of thw other suggested "fixes" The game is broken.

The game was great at first but now you can tell the developers don't care anymore. The game has been broken for Android users for over a week now and with a ton of complaints to the apps developers not a single update or statement that it'll be fixed.

Adding my 1 star as well. Was enjoying it overall after shifting to this game from another with my guild but as is the case with MANY others I've been unable to login this week & it crashes at the start up screen. Worse part is not one single peep from the devs regarding it. Absolutely ridiculous.

if you are F2P, the summon rate for buddy,SP support,and overdrive are trash. you can only summon 10 per day and guaranteed for the 20th,however the dev only give you 15days. you can play for months and can get nothing.

This is not the review I wanted to leave. Currently the pull rates in this game gatcha mechanic are abysmal. You used to be able to get at least one of each before it left the shop. Now it rotates out so quickly that unless you spend hundreds you won't pull it and the mercy system for pulls is also horrible. New content lately has also been a joke. We were all excited to see Camp Wars and here we are, 3 days into "preseason" and NOTHING has happened. It is taking way too long to ramp up.

Fun at first but then tedious! I was addicted to it for the first few weeks it came out, but I realized it was taking up too much time, even just for my daily check in tasks. I'd waste an hour of my day without getting much progress in game done. It's more of a slow burn kind of progression. It's an idle game sure, but you gotta keep your phone and app open for it to actually be idle. F2P only player but the game seemed generous for freebies.

The game is fine. Its the updates. They often ruin it and crash the servers, meaning people can easily get ahead of you if you're competitive. And to fix the issue, they give everybody rewards. But that fixes nothing, because both parties, who were logged out and still allowed to play, get the rewards. They stay ahead of you. Plus, the game gets boring, and its kind of just a screensaver to leave on and collect rewards.

I'll level with you. It's a pretty bad game. Expectations were not set correctly in the marketing and because of that the game has a low rating. Many people, including me, expected something like the keychain V-Pets but as a bigger app. Instead we got an idle game. And it's not even good at that honestly. They botch every update and can't even do basic regression testing and most everything requires either input or the app open. Save your time and battery life.

The game looks nice, but "raise" is not the word I'd use for this. Your partner is locked into a digivolution line from the Anime's and the raising aspect, and most of the game really, is really nothing more than a glorified checklist. I love Digimon, but other than the stories games it feels like they are just using the fanbase as an ondemand cash cow.

this game is really being held back by the worst gatcha system I've ever experienced. not only are you restricted to one special summon per day (using free to play currency), but the drop rate is bad and the rewards you get are absolutely garbage. you get better rewards from the general summons (which just cost tickets and has no daily limit). game is decent otherwise, but don't waste money on this besides buying the ad skip.

it's a fun autobattler game, and it will keep you busy for a time, however! I've been playing since it launched, raised a few megas already and it's kinda... done. I don't care for the pvp, and there's not much else to do in the game. I did enjoy the time with it, but until they add something substantial to the game, it gets old quick.

Never even got to actually play this. The furthest I've gotten is the Digimon selection screen before some notice pops up saying a violation is terminating the app. It happens every time I try to start. There's definitely no violation, I literally haven't even gotten into the gameplay yet. Wasted enough time uninstalling and reinstalling, calling it quits.

Predatory game, clearly not a lot of future state outside of infinite growth, terrible gacha rates, and buggy. There's also very little strategy or team building since you need to chase bigger numbers, meaning Digimon you like are likely not going to stay relevant very long. And your choice of partner does not matter in the slightest. I love Digimon so I want to like this, but this isn't it.

The app updated just now and deleted my account, and I can't get back in with my email and I lost all my progress and money now, and I got the game when it first came out. So if I were to play now with a new one, it won't be worth it. It's a good game, just something that hopefully doesn't happen to others. Did more research, and many other players also had to start from scratch due to it not linking the account correctly. Hopefully, they will fix it, but by the time they do, it will be too late

Pretty disappointing game. The sprites look nice, but as far as gameplay goes it's tedious and boring. Plus, for an idle game it actually makes you leave the phone on to do anything aside from a few things, and you have to click through tasks over and over even when the tasks themselves take less than a few seconds to complete. And as it doesn't even matter what digimon you raise its not even fun to collect/raise them.

After a couple days, I started to like the game. I got a new phone was unable to transfer my level 26 tamer to the new one. I did not have this issue for any other game. The game I think, just isn't fun, and feels like a cash grab. I love the art and they did digimon justice. Everything looks great and I love the encyclopedia. I can't recommend this game. I wish it was more like it's rpg roots.

gameplay loop is okay, but I feel like content could be better. it feels pretty simple yet clunky after a bit, and without premium currency, im kinda just logging in once or twice a day to get bonuses, then leave. It was very fun to initially level up with my digimon partner, but the game is NOT prepared for any sort of scaling. after reaching level 100, it doesnt feel like im doing anything except waiting for bonuses to reset.

The game is fun, but the chat filter is garbage and even appears to arbitrarily filter/not filter the same words (referring to normal words, not actual bad words) on different attempts. Login bonuses only appear to last for the first week or two, then I guess they reset with the season? On top of that, the app crashes CONSTANTLY. Also I understand there are limitations with this being a mobile game, but I'd love to see even more varied starter digimon.

This is an " idle game " in the sense that you leave it on in the background. The only thing that works when the app is closed is the timed rewards you collect, and they max after 8 hours. There's no auto battling, no auto progression, no auto growth. All of those things must be done while the app is OPEN and ACTIVE. And this game is NOT nice on my phone's battery. And there's a task that requires you to defeat 50k enemies. How do you do that? You leave the game on.... FOR AN ENTIRE DAY.

It's a great nostalgia for those of us who know who the buddies are, and what the storyline came to be. Digimon Up is nothing compared to the video games of the first Gen consoles. It's story line doesnt exist, the game play is honestly non existent, I can only afk for 8 hours before returning to pick up idle rewards were other games allow for 24hrs. The mini games don't really do anything other than pickup ig resources. Not the first pre order in which im disappointed but takes 1st.

not much positive can be said about this game so let's start with that. The Good: The Sprites have a lot of detail, the evolving animation has alot of work put into it, the music is great. thats it. The Bad: Another idle game unfortunately, Cash shop is way overpriced, maintenance is random with a high chance something game breaking will happen once it's done, the chat box censorship is the true boss of this game, can go on but im hitting character limit. Suggest money be spent elsewhere.

Honestly, this game is egregiously designed to make you spend as much time as possible actually having the game open on your phone, most likely so they can inflate player engagement metrics. Unless they make massive changes so you dont have to spend so much time in the game I recommend everyone stay away from this game. The devs do not care that the player experience is one of the worst of any idle game.

Wish I could give it a higher rating but this game is extreme P2P. For instance I have been playing since it launched also been playing for free I might add and there lies the problem if you don't fork over any money the game detects that and gives you very low draws rates and doesn't give you enough time to collect the deluxe draw. Example I had 180/200 deluxe points for wargreymon and the event ended in less time for me to actually collect them and I've logged in everyday.

I enjoy idle battlers to an extent but as all other reviews have said, that wasn't what this game had been advertised as pre release. The amount of bugs and glitches that persist through the game make it difficult to actually play the game. Regular crashes and error codes that make it impossible to actually battle idly, defeating the purpose of the game it turned into.

At level 35 or so, there will be a prompt saying, "This game is not available in your country". Once you delete the app, even if you, "Link" the game to you play account, all progress is lost forever. Do not waste your time, find another game that isn't a scam and actual waste of time because they will delete your progress in the blink of an eye.

Horrible game. The only reason I've played it is because its digimon. First night I played I thought it was pretty cool, as are most new shiny things. Now almost every other day for the past week there has been server maintenance. Coupled with terribly long ads which are optional but they're still terrible if you choose to use them. Gameplay is very mediocre. Idle game with no depth to it at all. Honestly disappointed, Digimon is easily one of my favorite franchises.

I gave the game a good try, even buying the ad pass. The game play loop is simple and grindy, you often feel like you're getting a power boost only to see minimal actual changes. The number inflation in this game is crazy, some of the mechanics are confusing and unexplained, and so much of it is designed to take as much time as it can from you for no real progress, like the massive grind in D-1, Bond grinding, Crests, ect. I've requested a refund through customer support, please follow up.

My account is still intact so I'm happy again. However, there's this weird glitch for a recurring task that has you defeat a number of enemies. It will say, "Defeat xx/50 enemies", and what I've seen happening on at least three separate occasions is that as enemies are defeated, the counter will say "Defeat 50/50 complete" but as soon as I tap on it, it tallies back to "22/50" and makes me complete the task all over again.

Waiting in a mobile game is to be expected, but the waiting times themselves ramp up exponentially, to the point where I'd rather find something else to do. The sprite work is perfect and I love the way the characters look. The servers seem a little fragile at the moment, other than that the game is alright, if you like Digimon you'll probably like this.

Locked out of the game for over 24 hours, while others weren't, and the compensation provided could be earned in mere minutes. This game is a joke. I don't know if the devs are vibe coding or using AI but this has been abysmal. This could have been a decent game, but all it seems to be is a quick cash grab, riding on the success of Time Stranger and Beatbreak, that's gonna to fizzle out quickly. Avoid at all costs, don't waste your time and definitely don't waste your money like I did.

My game gets stuck on the loading screen at 57.6% and I have to wait for almost an hour to log in. I have to do this again if I close the app or if it kicks me out. It's been over a week, I contacted support and still haven't received an answer. At this point, I don't think it's worth all of the effort just to be able to log in and play an afk game. Love the IP tho.

Not remotely as advertised. Ad campaign before release positioned it as a smartphone app V-pet or similar, but it's a bare bones "idle battler". The actual game has almost no gameplay to speak of outside of repeatedly tapping on a gacha to receive items, and micro transactions I can't imagine anyone paying. Incredibly disappointing, shallow experience. I "played" it for 10 minutes before realizing there wasn't going to be anything of substance to do and haven't opened it since.

I'm having a fun time with Digimon Up. The game fits into my lifestyle, where I can have it sitting on my desk for hours on end with minimal interaction and progress. It isn't super engaging but I love the IP and the community on my server is great. But the dev team of this game needs to find a new line of work. Every update to fix something breaks something else. We are currently unable to play the game due to a bug preventing us from logging in. it's been 12 hours. it's unacceptable.

There is a lot of maintenance that happens very frequently that usually breaks at least one thing every time. There is little to no communication from the Devs at times. The game is extremely pay to win and not friendly towards the free to play crowd. In good conscious, I cannot recommend this game. Even for an idle game, it isn't worth your time, and especially not your money. The only positive I can say is the spritework is lovely.

I enjoyed this game until it's most recent update. Rather than the warnings in English upon boot up, it was in Japanese? Odd. Claimed that there was no linked data & that I had to log in again (something I had set up and established from day 1). I go to log back in with the account I have only for it to now say "Error: Sorry, this service isn't avaiable in the country or region registered to your account." Their recommendation to this? Delete & start a new account on a different email. What?

Best thing to do at this point is just to not bother with this game anymore, it was never even as good as an actual full Digimon game.

Full of bugs, cheaters, and exploits. Every time they update it to fix one thing they add 3 more bugs. Newest issue after last night's maintenance was not being able to log into my account which I've put money into and there is no fix. They lost A LOT of people's accounts and have not said anything but sorry. Nothing about a fix or what they're going to do to amend the issue so anyone that can't log in, just loses their progress, cannot progress while others are and won't give compensation.

I think I'm about at my limit. this "idle game" demands WAY too much of my time. I have to sit there and babysit the damn thing almost every step of the way. summoning takes forever, the digiworld mini game is slow as hell, and on top of ALL that, the game is a buggy mess. I can't even log onto a game because of a mechanic they ENCOURAGED us to use after their latest update -_-

I kept trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but it's got some insane p2w like most gacha games, every single patch breaks something, be it new, or rebreaking a problem they had already fixed. Now Android users can't log in because they broke something else. Some people may have even lost their data. Without the ad pass, I'd call this game borderline unplayable. This game is a cash grab with an astounding lack of depth.

The newest update completely ate my progress. My entire account was reset, including my tamer and partner levels, my pre-register bonuses, and all the purchases I made. Update: The system went down for maintenance on the night of 8/9/26. When I tried to log in, it told me I needed sign into my bandai account again. Thinking this was fine because if the link to the account, when I signed in it said that the service was not available in my region. Cool. May have lost my account for a 2nd time.

it's fun, it scratches the itch. But there are a lot of glitches, events don't complete properly or numerous error codes. In some of the Dungeons or Training Bosses, the time cuts short by 18 seconds, making me unable to score as high as I could. In PvP, sometimes it won't exit the battle after a victory, leaving you in the battle with no timer or victory screen. I put a lot of time into this game, and I do enjoy it, but before I edit this review I need to see a change.

If this didn't have the Digimon IP attached to it there would be no reason to play. It is a buggy mess, drop rates are abysmal, and everything grinds to a halt even though they throw a ton of resources at you. They all feel worthless and having a million different currencies adds no depth. Ads for extra progress are also terrible. They are long, force you to interact, obscure the exit or have it take you to the store page instead of back to the game. Just an awful experience.

Really wanted to like this game and put a week into playing it, but I just can't recommend it. The gameplay was fun and the sprites looked amazing, but a server error locked me out of the app and deleted my account. I tried to log back in, thinking my account was linked to my Google Play from when I first booted it up, but nope: everything is just gone. I lost all of my levels, digimon, and upgrades. Tried putting in a support ticket, but just got brushed aside. Just not worth my time anymore.

It's a fun, satisfying game and pretty much exactly what you'd expect out of a new Idle game in this style. Theres one problem: It's very clear that little to no testing went into this game. Buttons constantly stop working until the game is restarted, crashes aren't uncommon, and half the time when you try and watch ads for rewards, you don't get anything. I decided I had to review after the hologram stopped working twice today and I watched ads 3 times for boss tickets, but it only worked once.

I have tried. so very hard. I was here since day one. amd not only did I follow the advice to uninstall and reinstall last night. but I lost my account, and linking my bandai ID didn't restore it. 30 dollars and in app purchases. gone. 2 weeks of time and effort poured into the game. gone. and I just can't anymore. this game is not good.

the sprites look great, but that's about as far as the good goes. This game is no more than a gambling simulator. You can watch an ad to speed up gameplay, which is honestly probably .25x the speed that it should be, I cant even say that it's grindy because your literally not doing anything. The microtransactions are predatory at best in typical gacha style. The gameplay is sometimes clicking on some icons if your lucky. One of the events refuses to work since launch. I cant recommend this

Before you read my positives, here's a negative to look out for. I accidentally uninstalled the game, and I guess it doesn't auto save unless you set up a special link or something. so I lost EVERYTHING! So I'm just gonna have to drop it. It is still a fun game, but I'm not gonna start over. It's a very casual game, and while it doesn't start as anything too annoying, eventually, you feel it has a Pay to Win, but it's not as predatory as other games. So for casuals, it's worth giving it a try.

EDIT: Dropped a star because the game has had 4 emergency maintenances in a month. Uptime is bad. It's a perfectly serviceable idle game if you just want to kill time, but that's all it is. No story, no choices, just little pixel Digimon fighting in endless circles while occasionally the game tells your your numbers went up. If that's what you want, great, it's a good version of that. If you're looking for anything other that little animated figures, you're gonna be disappointed.

Warning: The devs are actively deleting negative reviews and are using bots to boost the rating numbers and lie about the games quality. This is basically a VERY lazy made idle battler in the worst possible way. aggressive store offers, ads to make the game go faster and gacha mechanics. You don't really do anything, except click a box every once in a while. There's no deph or strategy. Simply skip this game. And to those defending the $8 price to remove ads. SHAME ON YOU!

The game has so many different currencies, so many different things to level up and somehow is extremely boring. it has nothing to do with the original concept of raising digimon, it all has to do with how much you can spend to level up everything else. What digimon you use has no weight, or meaning. The game is constantly crashing and freezing many of the features are broken. The pvp system makes no sense, you can't use anything except for recovery or you die. Had so much hope for this game.

It's an idle battle game and it means IDLE. There's not much for the player to really do. You collect rewards over time and that's it. The sprites are really well made, but I think that might be all it's got going for it. Add on that is has this repeated error that pops up for Android users that claims a "security policy violation has been detected" that forces the app to close and the game makes itself unplayable. A shame, because it could have been so much more, especially with the Digimon IP.

The game's graphics are quite nice, and functionally the game *does* work, but the gameplay and content are (so far) incredibly shallow, even for an idle game, and to a degree the game can't seem to make up its mind if it wants you actively playing or checking in every few hours. The "battle passes" (such as they are) almost feel designed around buying the content passes, and overall the game feels like a quick cash-grab, albeit a pretty one. Will keep playing for now and see if things improve

Advertised as seemingly a taming and raising game, just another really whelming idle game by Bandai. Except this one is so unremarkable, it makes me miss ReArise or even Linkz. Balance and design choices are all over the place, and not in a good way, and it has plenty of notable technical and connection issues. That and there's just not nearly enough content. I don't see this one lasting more than a year, two tops. Giving it two stars for the decently nice sprite art, but I say skip this one.

There's no gameplay... It's an autobattler, which will always have this issue, but I played for several hours last night and the closest thing I could find that resembles actual gameplay is clicking a gear spawner constantly. And even that is automated eventually. Leaving me with nothing to do but collect "rewards" and use the gacha machines. One of which completely froze on me and caused me to have to restart the game. Art is really good though.

This game has potential but I wouldn't recommend it currently. I play a good amount of mobile games and this idle game for some reason requires more and more screen time the further you progress. Also it got to a point where you have to kill thousands of enemies to get your next big boost of power but there is no way to pick what enemies\stages you fight so I let the game idle for 1 hour and only killed 45 enemies due to the current stage I'm on one shotting me. Lastly it's not very F2P friendly

Edit: No way to progress and increase power at a reasonable speed without spending money, and the prices of things are high. I gave up at trying to keep up with everyone else. Review: I just started today, so I am still learning. Leveling up is slow and gameplay is pretty limited right now, but I got WarGreymon on my first try, so I am super happy with that.

Its really a bummer; most of my initial hype was for a way different gameplay, but it turns out to be more of an idle gacha game. I do appreciate the art and the franchise overall. Everything else is not really good. Likewise, speeding the game up to 2x the speed requires an ad (limited to 2 tumes daily), and most of the progression is amped if you spend money (inc removing ads). The game is not engaging enough to keep consistently playing and could've been so much better for all that hype...

Too annoying to persist through all the bugs and crashes. PvP, the network dungeon, the raid dungeon, error codes and disconnects constantly. If it weren't just another autobattler identical to all the others it would earn some goodwill, but that's exactly what it is, so. It could at least function. But no. Pick another one.

Worst Digimon game I have ever played. Gameplay or strategy is nonexistent, it's just an auto battler with menus and ads to watch. Half the time I would click to watch an ad it didn't even register to give me the reward so I would have to watch more and more. Very unsatisfying game and just overall boring in every regard, except for the pixel art, that is it's only positive. However since such good pixel art and animations were wasted on such a nothing game, that actually only makes it worse.

I want to like this game -- it's incredibly cute, and the idle nature of it is a good fit for Digimon, getting to see your pals slowly get stronger and evolve. I'm just not really able to play it at the moment (will edit review if bugs are taken care of) Getting constant error codes when trying to claim mission rewards/sell/equip gear etc., have to restart the app, sometimes that doesn't even fix it

It feels like they took a simple idle game concept and just threw this IP's paint over it. The evolution system is linear, progression through all of the systems don't really align, everything is gated behind iteration. It just feels like I'm playing a bunch of different mini games that all throw numbers into a bucket, and the bucket doesn't really matter. I have yet to see how any of the stats provide any meaning to the gameplay, outside of constantly seeing bigger numbers.

This game is surprisingly not good. Huge digimon fan, the pixel art and art in general is fantastic! This game is very misleading from the ads and hype following the launch, as it is a very basic idle game. Some buttons straight up do not work/ are bugged, choosing another server wipes data, and PvP is terrible (you can have matches where neither of your health bars lower, then you lose). I'm on day 3 of giving this a shot, and I hardly have anything left to do. Can probably finish it in 2 weeks

This really isn't what I was expecting at all, least of all the idle stuff- I feel like I'm not even playing the game, it's more like I'm playing slots at a casino and watching things happen. It even has the sensory nightmare of flashing colors and constant movement a casino has! It's like an attack on my dopamine receptors! I was honestly expecting something more engaging and with some kind of story to it. Something with HEART. Digimon Up is a huge let down.

Honestly, the game feels like a bit of a nothing-burger. It's a gacha-heavy idle game, where the most you do are maybe one or two little minigames. The pixel art's nice, but after doing a full lap around the island for the first time, I realized, "Oh. This is it. This is all it has to give me, and it's been out for a couple of days." It gets boring pretty fast, since there's little for you to do other than watch Numbers Go Up. But, weirdly enough, it does make me want to play more Time Stranger.

I tried to like it. I've been an avid fan of digimon from the start, and have watched all seasons (even appmon). But this is just boring. It's not a true v-pet. Nor is it an auto player. There's about 15 different upgrading methods to keep track of. And the ways to get better gear takes forever. They should have picked a path and stuck with it. Instead, this feels like it wants to be multiple different games layered on top of each other.

Great pixel art and fairly simple UI. The idle gameplay itself is fun, the inability to add friends between different servers isn't. Learning this many days after starting left most of our group feeling horrible to restart in the same server. Until it's fixed where we can change servers without resetting progress, or we can add friends and join camps between servers, this is on Bandai to do better.

Bandai entering the Idle RPG world. Decent attempt but lacking in areas. For the uninitiated.. games like this are completely PTW and extremely greedy. That's just the way it is and this is no different. Everything has a premium tier for purchase and purchase pop ups are constant. Ad free is expensive here for the genre. The global release event is meh. No auto sell gear after equip is lame. It shows this game is half baked. After polish, it could be four stars at best.

some of the most brain dead gameplay I've seen in a while. almost half the assignments are "spam the thing in the bottom that gives you gear" and then deleting the gear because you already have good gear. and if it's not that it's "beat certain level" or "defeat 3 enemies." not to mention the entire summoning mechanic is bogged down by you can only summon in 15 or 30s or you could watch two ads to do 15. if you want to speed up the game? two 30 second ads.

I played for 5 days. I like the sprite designs. They look well done. That's all the good stuff I have to say. No effort was made on the app store page to describe what it is you're about to play. This is an idle battle game. Your goal is to maximize your stats as much as possible, by collecting random drops, buffs and summons. The main limit is item and time stamina. You can prolong many actions by watching 3rd party apps, which is bad coming from this publisher.

Really decent game for what it is. Unfortunately I've waited a while for a support ticket, so I've not been able to progress further. The game should really highlight that it is server based 😂. I know new games some support tickets can take a while, so don't take that as reason not to download. Give it a shot! Just remember if you're playing with a friend to coordinate servers before playing 😂.

🚩🚩there's so much wrong here, it's just your typical idle RPG with predatory monetization, multiple battle passes, and an absolute let down. we know they could do better than this, if they had done a world style or tamogachi style game they would have nailed this out of the park. you can't even change your characters initial hair color. this was such a missed opportunity at something great.

If you're not willing to buy the ad-purging micro transaction, this is a two, and only because the sprites are so good. As far as idle games go, it's... fine. It's a menu simulator with very good spritework, reasonably fast progression, and it's fine. Make sure you like your server before you make any purchases, because they *don't carry over.* That includes the ad-buster.

I assumed my app was bugged when I got the message "New version of app available, please update" but Google play showed there was none. I deleted it and downloaded it assuming it was just a bug on my end because it didn't say there was maintenance being done. When I redownloaded it, the data wasn't saved and you can't sign in with Google so I lost my data and I lost my purchase, there's no restore purchase option. I'm filing for a refund. Poorly executed game.

Your standard number go up idle game. It's refreshing to see an idle game run this smoothly on mobile as well as using the Digimon IP. Very charming and I love it. The reason for my middling rating is because it starts you out in a server, disconnected from your friends who were put on other servers. The only way to play with them is to abandon all progress to start anew at lvl 0 on their server. This is a HUGE oversight! fixing this will get that 5* rating.

the game is extremely monotonous,while idle games can be fun, this games decided to slow that even more by putting progression walls that you are unable to progress without waiting even more for hologram tickets that allow you to get experience. of course you can spend money to get more hologram tickets and such speed your progress. only good thing is that you can buy the permanent removal of ads. if you do not like idle games this game will not attract you to them at all. also 5 battle passes.

I get that mobile RPGs are mostly just cash grabs, but this is hardly an RPG. No story, no inventory other than dozens of micro currencies, gear system feels shallow, no way to test builds, pay to win. Nothing on screen actually matters. it's just a dps check, then a background change. nothing else. This would be impressive as a pitch, not as a full game.

I like idle games, but this is too idle. There is literally nothing to do other than chase the red dots. Even something like adding a tamagotchi element to it would have been nice so there was something to do. Or a deeper strategy something.... but all you do is click this, click that, rinse and repeat. And it only moves forward when the app is open. AND THE SCREEN SHAKE WHEN ATTACKING NEEDS TO BE TOGGLEABLE!!!!!

Disappointment. I was expecting little at first, I thought the game was going to be bad at first when I saw the screenshots, but it turned out to be much worse, 0 input for adventure or fighting or anything, you only interact with shiny rewards and micropayments, nothing more. The main mechanic of the game doesn't take the player into account, you only matter to pay, get rewards and watch ads, watching ads is what you'll be doing the most.

Eh... It's really generic, but solid for the genre. I was expecting more from an officially licensed game, but it's mobile, so what can you really expect? Also, I keep repeatedly getting errors (like -30034 or something like that) which make me have to close and reopen the game. Not the best start... I'm worried it'll just end up the same as every other game like it. Edit: Deducting another star because it says there's a new version available when there isn't, so I actually can't play.

I want to like this game more. There is a lot of good going on for it but it's really frowned by the fact there is just too many different monetization methods and it's constantly shoving them in your face. pacing here is really awful as well. I'm constantly doing incredibly small task and then getting "rewarded" for it then moving on to the next thing. I was hoping this would be a virtual tomagachi pet game and I was very wrong and I wish it was that.

The game is barely passable, not out right bad. I just expected more from the IP. The most egregious part is the constant "buy this" "battlepass that", the lack of any free premium currency, and the push notification is sent out 5 minutes after you close the game at the latest. It's cliche but my main concern is for the kids who get into this. And now I am stuck in an infinite boot up, where it tells me to restart for a new update. Just great.

a bit bare bones at the moment, but if you're looking for something chill you might like it. never played an idle game before, but true to the name, the best way to play is to not play (for 8 hours max because you need to collect your hologram tickets). if you want something engaging, avoid this. no branching digivolutions, which is disappointing. maybe in an update? still cute to look at every now and then when I have downtime at work

Honestly pretty disappointing on release. when you choose your starter and name the game immediately starts bombarding you with various in-game notifications, which is a huge ask for any player. The game functions as an AFK auto battle, which caught many players by surprise as it wasn't explicitly marketed as such. There are many others things I could say, but this wasn't meant to be a game first unfortunately. If you'd like to get into the Digimon series best avoid this one.

Absolutely Disappointing. Ads with a side of gameplay if you want to progress, and that's funny because there is nothing to do. The game just plays itself. All you do is hit "Claim Reward" over and over again. Just make a digivice with paid dlc for new digimon Bandai. NO ADS. I would rather pay some money then whatever this is.

For starters, I'm a huge Digimon fan. This is my first ever gatcha idle game. My first impressions were that the artwork is amazing. The sprites are very clean and well made. The gameplay loop is what you would expect from a gatcha game. You will get stuck and hit a wall and have to wait for daily resources to progress. I'm not mad about any of that, because it allows me to put it down and come back to it. I've been playing for 2 days now F2P, and still enjoy it so far.

When I heard an offical Digimon mobile game was coming out I got excited. Looking at this, every hope I had was crushed. Its the same, idle, incremental upgrade game thats been out for 6+ years just with a Digimon skin slapped on top. There aren't even any type of quality of life upgrades that those games would have had over the course of the run of the game. This game is worthless.

The game has a lot of potential, but the game needs to address it's server related issues. Also, the inventory system is terrible. You can't lock equipment nor retain items. Not sure what was reason for this game direction, but it's stupid. I'll give this game one month to address all of the concerns and issues, than I can give a better assessment if the game is a failure or not

I was really looking forward to this game before its release. I love the pixel art, but I'm not a fan of the idle gameplay. I don't find it fun to just sit there and watch my one Digimon fight on its own with no input from me. The only active gameplay is choosing whether to equip items or sell them. Also, adding other players as friends is a hassle, since both players must be on the same server, and if you change to a different server you have to start over with a new character and new Digimon.

this has all the trappings of what could be a very fun and engaging game, but everything is automated, and those features that are not can be toggled to be, and gives little reason to leave those toggled off. All I do is open the app, claim a few rewards, and sit there watching my digimon automatically fight until another reward can be claimed. it's a time waster and that's about it. it's not even an idle game, because it doesn't continue when the phone is off.

I love the bones of this game, the pixel art is awesome, fighting moves are great, characters are fun, but I've been having a lot of issues with playing with friends. To swap servers (which they don't tell you about) resets your game. I wish there was more transparency when it comes to selecting a server and not just getting assigned one. Please fix this if possible.

I love Digimon, but I can't recommend this game. It's a blatant cash grab, every time you try to opt out of the app sharing your information you get an error message so you can't opt out. It crashes for me at least every 15 minutes, and there are constant pop-ups trying to get you to spend money, also whenever you watch an ad for an additional reward it doesnt close out at the end so you cant accept your reward but youve still sat through the entire ad so they still get paid. Not worth it.

Holy currencies Batman!!! This game is all over the place, the UI is difficult to navigate, the legal agreement boxes are broken and therefore I cannot accept/agree to the terms and conditions, privacy statement or any of the legal stuff. It has more currencies than I'd care to count, nothing to really spend resources on and the pull rates feel terrible for the basic/always active normal banners. This game feels like it needs an overhaul and as one player put it "it looks like a bootleg game"

Wasn't what I thought it was, based on ads. Social media posts equated it to a pocket VPet, which is sort of is, but mixed with an auto-battler or idle game. Buuut, the game also wants you to have it open for stretches of time so you can advance your missions and get gear. Not really what I was expecting and the gameplay is boring. Redeeming features? It's got great pixel art. I don't even want to turn on the 2x speed, just so I can look at more 'mons.

Not at all what I thought this game was gonna be. The art is beautiful but for an "idle" game it requires so much input. Groups and friends are also server locked and there's no choice to start on a specific server or transfer your character over after you've gained progress. The game is also swarming in pay to win gimmicks and launched with 4 battle passes. I'm just wanting a mobile version of the vpets without micro transactions.

Where's the game? I see 4 battle passes, an ad skip pass, 5 different gatcha levers to pull, 8 or 9 different currencies, and all the predatory monetary practices you can shake a stick at, but there's nothing to do. The only thing to spend time on in this game is clicking through menus to clear notification pips. This is a gatcha game that took all of its stats from having actual gameplay, and dialed the predatory aspects up to 11. Save your time. Skip this one.

It's incredibly disappointing and frankly, quite boring. I've played a few idle games that have the exact same systems, this honestly feels like a low effort reskin of those. I hoped against hope that this game would still be good or at least have some Vpet elements to it when I saw the first gameplay screenshots, but somehow it's even more lackluster than I'd feared. The gameplay is just varying options of waiting and clicking a menu button. That's it.

In my opinion, an idle game is not a "game" at all. When I saw the screenshots I lost all excitement for UP but I'm still giving it a try. The sprites are great and the very limited interaction I do get with my digi is appreciated but that's where my praise ends. UP is void of connection to your partner, you just stare at a screen while they fight waves and you click for gear and at the end you fight bosses. UPDATE: Deleted it after hitting a wall

Showing me a window for personal information preferences, not letting me actually select any option, then immediately skipping to character creation is weird as hell. Went to check if my game was just being weird or if this was happening to other people, and through different posts talking about gameplay, I realized I was just going to be disappointed with this game anyway.

This app is False advertising, they way they pitch it is you will get a digivice on your phone and it couldn't be farther from the truth. What you get instead is an Idle game with no monster interaction (at the point of the game im at). Dont pay any attention to this game. it will probably be dead in a year. If they made your main hub a digivice where you could feed, train, and clean/care for your mon this game would have made so much money. its a loss for both players and devs.

All data is SERVER based. This includes PURCHASES. So if you buy something it's only on that server. I bought the 'add skip' on server 24 but found out my friend was on another server. So I switched and had to start from the beginning again (with no warning) and repurchase my add skip. My progression on server 24 was still there though. I'm enjoying the game play but I don't approve of the server based purchases.

The biggest hype killer was that on launch day the game (which I had been waiting for) is unplayable due to multiple error pop ups before even login. This made me browse the internet to see if everyone was having the same issue, and what I found out is that the few people with access to the game all agreed that it is just a highly p2w idle game where tons of summons are needed for the megas. Hype is over for me.

Scummy data gathering practices. I was so excited to play this game. Downloaded it last night, trying today, and notice that the terms include selling my data to different companies- but there's an opt-out in the settings. Ok. Just gotta make sure I opt out. Nope! They put a "bug" into the game, preventing people from accessing the opt-out. It's the screen you see after accepting the terms, but says "error try again later" over and over. Reloaded 20 times and it's the same. Accept or don't play.

This game feels like nothing more than a cash grab. It comes across as cheaply made, with constant error messages that interrupt gameplay. Even the advertisements frequently fail to work, meaning you can't claim the rewards they promise. It feels like the developers rushed the release without properly testing the game, hoping to make a quick profit rather than deliver a quality experience. Unless these issues are addressed, I can't recommend spending either your time or money on it.
