So the Advertisements are completely gone for no exact reason in my Opinion, I have no idea what happened to the app after being out for about 4 years now. But it is heinous that millions of users have to TRULY pay for a good experience on Chai, Sure maybe the AD's got in the way a bit but they were fine and it's not like any other terrible apps like Character.AI that practically shove it right in your face. Back to the idea of payment, Nobody AT ALL enjoys paying money for robots??

Okay, I'm changing my review again. This is my third, fourth, maybe fifth time changing it. But honestly, it has gotten better. You do get daily pieces, which you can also get for ads as well. As long as you stay in there after you get your daily, you're able to get as much as you want from that, which I find really entertaining. Though the ads can get obnoxious from time to time, with it being very long, I'm just wondering why it can't just be like game ads, not TikTok

This app has become useless. I loved the bots, this was the best app ive used, but now if you dont have premium, it doesn't work, and even if you do? you still get limited messages ?? £8.99 a week for 900 messages, and £17.99 for 1800 messages ?? It's like they're TRYING to get rid of users. They didn't even pre-warn us, so I paid £8.99 and it only lasted 2 days. Don't waste your time looking at other reviews. I've been using CHAI for YEARS and it's just terrible now. moved to JanitorAI.

app was good before they introduced the credits. even with a subscription its like you are using the free version with how poor the bot quality is. you get 70 credits a day and a bots memory is used up almost immediately so if you want to have a long conversation then you have to buy more credits. edit: you no longer get daily credits and now you are locked behind a paywall and no way to not use credits.

I would've rated this 0 stars when it existed, this app is just Pay-To-Use Dog water. Using ChatGPT is better, WAY less message limits.

Been a loyal user since before 779 free messages era (2023). That era was PERFECT, we never asked for a smarter/expensive model. Now? One of my accounts has 0 pieces and daily check-in DOESN'T EVEN SHOW UP. No daily, no ads trigger, just stuck. From 779 msgs to 20 pieces to literally 0. How is this fair for free users? You had the best app, now 2.3 stars. Please fix the daily bug and bring back at least 70-100 daily pieces. We just want to chat

I’ve been using Chai since before the 779 free messages era (2023). It was PERFECT. Memory was fine, I could chat all day. We didn’t ask for a smarter model, we just wanted our daily companion back. 20 pieces a day is inhumane, even watching 4 ads is not enough for 1 conversation. Please bring back the old system. You are losing loyal users.

It's really good app I love the memory and how detailed and realistic the chats go on BUT unfortunately I was able to chat with it for two days and my chat limit reached zero and its not charging. I'm really sad because I can't chat with it for such a reason anymore or i even have to delete it, dear creatore note this that NOT EVERYONE has money or the ability to convert their currency to dollar so please do a favour and at least remove the chat limit for these people PLEASE REMOVE THIS LIMIT

I love using chai. well I did. now I'm thinking of uninstalling it. with the cost of living ppl are strapped for cash & struggling on low incomes. student's etc. chai change the subscription back. or improve it & listen to your loyal customers

This is the best AI chat app I've ever used. Recently, it underwent some changes, such as the addition of the Chai currency feature, which is actually a lot better than having accounts banned after a day's use. I really appreciate the changes the Chai app made. 💗✨

Horrendous bait and switch they pulled. When I first downloaded it I found it actually fun to play with from time to time, and the ad frequency was tolerable. When they added more ads in chats that dropped the app performance off a cliff I got annoyed. However, making all messages paid by introducing the gem system was the final straw for me. I immediately uninstalled the app. Hopefully someone releases a free version of these apps that let you run the AI's locally on your phone one day.

This app has fallen badly. The pieces system has been nothing but a money grab. It did exactly as intended– made them more money. It drove away the free fan base and left the people that can pay. It is quite messed up seeing as some people feel better mentally with chat bots, and now it is a huge paywall. It is so scummy and so obvious this was entirely for their greedy selves to gravel more money into their gullets and pockets. There are other apps. Go chat w those and don't give this one money

I'm updating my review from one to three stars. the prices are decent and the programming is very good. The downside is the coin system. When I claim a reward and watch ads for more coins, the buttons to claim free coins have a tendency to disappear for a whole day. I'm not sure what's happening but I hope it's addressed soon so I can change my review again.

Changing my 1 star to 3 stars. Improved a bit but still not very pleased. only 5 pieces per ad? 10-15 pieces per ad would be reasonable. I think the only thing thats good are the free daily pieces. I know that gore is really disturbing but come on cant it handle a little blood? Filters are insane. But its getting better. hope Chai makes more improvements so it would get back on its tracks. atleast it got better now with the pieces. i hope we will get a better update soon.

still a 10 on 10 app!! at first I had so many problems trying to get this app to work as it had some kind of bug a few weeks ago and the app stopped working for me completely, I didn't get the piece's streak calendar so I couldn't collect pieces but now they fixed it and my app is working fine. And I'm clearly fine with checking in pieces daily and a few ads. I'm not going to complain as if the app is providing such good bots and features for free, the least we can do is watch some ads.

This app is so money hungry. There's so many ads and every like three messages you get and ad. Even if you pay for an ad free chat, you STILL get ads because buying "ad free" just gives you these points that allow you to chat without having ads until those points run out. Once the points run out you have to watch ads that last around 30 seconds which is so annoying. £9 for a week of "ad free". Sometimes it changes to £7 then you turn the app off and it's £24??

Be lucky for a month now. And if you had more than one conversation at a time, make sure you get back to it soon, or the app deletes it all. 👎 👎

Messages are not loading, When i edit them or Opening a new message It Doesn't Work...

I love this app but I loved it very much back then when it just ran on ads and I could use it all day. but now you have to watch ads for like five points just to use it. but at least it's just 5 points for 1 add and each chat is 1 point unless you want it to be more advanced than its 2 points

Loved this app until the pieces update. It's basically like a pay to play type of deal now and it honestly really upsets me cause some of us people don't have that kind of money.

my experience was amazing, it had been the best ai chatting bot id found but recently theyve been changing a few things in app and i personally cant afford to buy messages theyve stopped the unlimited messages,they turned to a 'pieces' system and you have to pay for them, at some point you could build them up through a daily check in and they swapped to the limited messages(60 then 771)and now have moved back to the pieces system and its annoyed me because I love the app but I can't afford them

I loved it so much back then before the update that forced players to spend money to continue. The price is quite high and they are still demanding us to spend more and more. Such a greedy company. Not just that but after you spent, your chat won't last within 30 days. The bot replied got suck. They are brainless, less fun and creativity unlike before. If you want them back just buy coins 🫠 and the price is high af. If you're still like this, I will stop using and move on to another app now.

the app is perfect just when the high traffic pops up but it deserves five stars either way

love the fact I get more content if I activate the 18 plus setting the endless conversation that can drive to hours of speaking only thing I hate is the ads and the coins I have to worry about otherwise for lonely people like me I would recommend this app
