This app works well for sleep and square breathing.

I LOVE calm!! It is so good, I need the sleep stories to sleep and I love the soundscapes sound when reading. While you do need to buy it is so worth it!! I don't even know how I would sleep without it. You can change the theme and background, mine is currently on mountains so it will play mountain ambient noise but there are also soundscapes. I would recommend Bella's Bedtime Blanket 1 and 2, Minions in Space, and an Evening in Jasmine's Garden (Soundscape). You can download sleep stories.

It's very basic, and I don't find it useful for people who have tried all kinds of different approaches to tackle every day life stressors, anxiety, health issues and relationships ups and downs. I will not renew my prescription after a month.

it was amazing at first. i have actual mental health issues like PTSD, autism, and mild chronic mania and anxiety (panic attacks) and this app helped so much. but now everything is paywalled and subscription and it's not worth it anymore. becuse even our mental health can't be free

Constantly badgering to upgrade and subscribe. Every single time I open the app a pop-up asks to upgrade. Every single time I click on anything, another pop-up asks to upgrade. I understand apps need to make money, however, considering Calm's status at this point, it seems they're either desperate for money or money hungry. Further, they recently made changes to the app where multiple steps need to be taken to simply lower the volume. I now get turned off each time I open it. Time for a new app

Was really happy with the app and have been using it for a couple of years. paid subscription now, all of a sudden won't allow me to use when it's paid for. really dissapointed

When I paid for the calm app online, right before I entered my email address, it kicked me out. My card was charged and for weeks, I have had no response but generic emails from customer service. Horrible customer service.

I have have a hard time sticking to things so I do fall off the wagon with meditations. But over the years I continue to come back to this app. It has been a lifesaver as a parent and been a great support tool in combination with therapy.

NO RESPONSE FOR ASSISTANCE. I've been unable to log in after renewing my paid subscription. Repeatedly reached out to Support over almost 4 weeks and ZERO help other than AI responses. Still can't use the app. Support is awful and they don't give a sh**t. Would give zero stars if I could. TO YOUR RESPONSE You're telling me something I already know I let support know this & they still haven't helped I only get AI bot responses. Why can't you assist your paying customers? TERRIBLE APP

Very deceptive! It said there was free content, and there isn't any at all! I wouldn't give them 1 red cent for a subscription if this is the kind of tactics they use.

Barely any free features, you have to purchase the subscription to use anything.

I resubscribed for family membership, however wish I had not. This app constantly drains my battery. I have switched off background usage and yet since then it is the highest usage of battery today, despite it kit being used at all by myself. I also have switched off notifications. I can think of nothing else to curtail this apps disastrous battery usage. If any of the Calm team wish to suggest. Happy to try. But will have to delete the app at this point.

There's a 7-day trial, but only if you give them your card and sign up for the year. If want to try it, back out like you're not willing to pay and you may get an offer for like $50 for a year. I thought there was some basic free content and paid premium content, but it doesn't look like it.

I downloaded this app because I seen an ad on TV. it has a lot of soothing songs but literally everything has to be paid for. i do not expect the app to be free but they want nearly $100 per year for one person and $119 for family (6). that to me is asking for too much

Can you please bring back the daily affirmations? They were really helpful and uplifting for me and always felt like it was exactly what I needed to hear.

The app is actually pretty good if you get the subscription. My problem is that the guided meditations are exceedingly difficult to understand. Between guides who have very deep voices or a background track that drowns out the guide I find several of the lessons unusable. I've tried tuning things with the equalizer but have only had limited luck.

I got a free membership for a year and love it so far. I think the journal prompts and reflections questions need to be updated though.

Wish I knew about this app years ago - my chronic insomnia of decades - gone! I'm asleep within 5 min every night!!! If I wake up, the guided sleep meditations or sleep stories have me back to sleep in minutes! I can't believe how rested I feel, I'm getting clockwork 8 hours nightly, this app has changed my health outlook and lowered my stress, I've just now started to enjoy the other features - definitely the best purchase online 💤🛌💯

For as expensive as this is, they could get the audio to play smoothly. it's hard to meditate to a guided audio track that stutters and gets gets distorted mid way. This is the bread and butter of what this is supposed to be - an audio app.

Calm is an amazing medication app.

Yes, the UI could be mote intuitive and less cluttered. Sometimes finding a specific narrator's Daily is difficult. Having to stop & search for your follow-up session breaks up the flow of calm Two improvements that could help- An app based layout like the home screen on our phones- where frequently used content is placed exactly where we want it. A Playlist creator. Say you have 30min for break; 5min of EMDR, 10min Daily Calm, 7min of your scene sounds and energize for 7min withDaily Jay

POOR technical support. I have an issue where I cannot control the Calm app with my Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 in the same way I can control playback and volume with Spotify and Pandora. I reached out SIX WEEKS AGO to Calm saying their app is not working with my phone. They responded 3 weeks ago "Still Looking Into It." I've heard nothing back since. Not a bad app when it is WORKING, but if it gives you problems EXPECT NO HELP FROM CALM TECHNICAL SUPPORT. Pathetic really.

Deceptive advertising. Turns out initial payment doesn't give full access to app. A LOT of features are locked without upgrading to premium. Also, it didn't seem personalized like the starter quiz leads you to believe. Very disappointing. Will not be continuing after first month.

The app is great with a large variety of ways to relax and reset yourself. I like that I can search by mood or issue. For example, I can search for sessions on anxiety regarding work or a sleep story to get me to rest. I took off one star because sometimes it randomly crashes without warning or keeps playing even after I close it. It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough. Other than that nuisance, it is great.

It's a morning ritual that I do almost everyday. It's not always easy to sit but I'm comfortable in that space as well because there is no judgment.

You know what stresses me out? Opening an app and having to wait 15 seconds while it splashes a screen that tells me to "take a deep breath" before I can use it.

This app is a life changer. It works, it really does. It has a lot of features that help in your journey to being more relaxed..

has really been a learning experience on how to take time out for the simple things. when my thoughts are swirling so fast I can't focus on one certain thing my daily check in begins and centers my thoughts and after the session I can then productively regroup and continue with my day! it's working!!

I love Calm. I had used it every day in the past and have just recently come back to it but what on earth is this layout now. it's so hard to find the meditations, I feel like previous versions were so much easier. I tried using the search functionality but it keeps showing me 3 min clips or music I don't want to listen to. I just want good meditations for 10 minutes! is this for the tiktok generation!?

Boring as hell and not helpful. The "meditations" were mostly one woman with an unpleasant voice talking. You can't tell them "I don't want to listen to this one", it just puts it back in your rotation. There are much better apps out there so don't waste your money.

This app has helped me for a while now. As the name suggests, this app calms my mind and I could not be more grateful. One recommendation, a soundscape of a storm, a fireplace and very soft crickets. (I know they all exist, but would like all to be combined together) I love this, and would give more stars if possible. 11/10. Would recommend.

Don't get ripped off. App charges annually only. This app is ineffective and if you don't like the app or don't use it, there's no refund. It's like throwing money down the drain.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP! I purchased the app with a 7 day free trial, not to be charged until after the free trial. On day 1, I was charged TWICE. Once through Google Pay and again through PayPal. I was Charged 2 different amounts. There is no help anywhere. I contacted PayPal and was hung up on. I tried to communicate through Google Pay AI "Help" and Calm Support Center. I'm being told my email address doesn't exist. There's no representative available. You'll be scammed.

I was still not refunded for not being able to cancel on time due lack of access, espite trying to log in/reset password. I was advised to cancel via Google subscription, but it was processed online. Still no reply/resoltion from customer service. If they have my log in email to contact and related debit card details to charge, how can't they process this refund... SCalm..

Calm help me for relaxing guided meditations, sleep stories, and soothing soundscapes that effectively lower stress.

Very good content, informative and direct. Is easy to understand what they are trying to do the service this app provides. It's useful, helpful and good for your mind body and overall well being.

The app was Ok but the customer is atrocious- don't go near them. I provided evidence of my bank statement illustrating that i had been charged twice for my subscription but customer service dragged my complaint out for ages and failed to recognise the issue. With all the tricks these apps play to catch in their subscription net you would think when you had done everything to protect yourself and provide solid evidence of a charging problem that they would move quickly to address the issue.

Calm is a lovely app for anyone who wants to take a little time away from a busy day. I like the relaxing atmosphere of the app and the focus on mindfulness, meditation, sleep, and relaxation. Sometimes you simply need a few quiet minutes to clear your mind, and having guided sessions available on your phone makes that easier. The content is presented in a simple and calming way, which makes the app pleasant to use.

Calm is a beautifully designed app with useful meditation and relaxation content. It is a convenient way to take a few minutes to slow down and reset.

Plenty of content (almost too much) but the meditations aren't helping with relaxation or developing my skills as the playback is irritatingly jittery, even when I've downloaded it (so it's not the internet connection). Paid for the year now so I guess I'll have to tolerate. Should have stayed with Headspace...

The app annoyingly pushes to buy the premium version on every click. The free sessions are hard to find and very poorly designed. insight timer and Balance are two way way better apps to meditate and unwind

Search function has been useless for months. I had originally put a ticket in but it's been a month with no response. Umfortunately won't be renewing now that there are so many functionality issues with the app.

I like some of the content but this app almost never opens for me on the first attempt. It usually takes 4 or more attempts to get it going. I have updated it several times and reinstalled it as well. Thanks goodness I learned about equanimity in the apps' 30 day beginner guide to meditation bc this would have definitely caused me to feel far more frustrated otherwise.

Always paid for this, but no more. I get CPU warnings when this is running in the background. Often stories won't resume playing after being paused. The stupid cricket noise sometimes doesn't stop when a story starts. Every time I open it there's some ad about family plan, and streaks - I don't care about any of it, let me start a story and leave me alone. One job, and it needs work.

One star because why do you need to create an account and a payment plan to play white noise?

Super tool helps problem sleepers

A fantastically poor user interface is not the way the sell 'relaxation' help. Usability/UX/Ergonomics died years ago. Shotgun positioning/no discernable thread to dialogs. 1980 IBM PC software.

I searched for a free night time sleep app. I was asked a few questions to develop my program then a page opens up so I can pay for my free program.

you have to pay for everything. free account access gives you 2/3 minute clips.

mostly good. content is mostly good, the original stuff from Tamara Levitt tends to be the best. Sometimes app updates break or at least severely degrade performance, feels like they don't test before they do updates. Anyway, my employer paid for my membership so I just deal with those annoyances but overall decent.

This has helped me so much with my anxiety.

I was not able to cancel subsrciption on time due lack of access to my account. Multiple attepmts to log in/reset password did not worked (system doesn't send reset password email). Despite that I was still charged with their fee. Many emails exchanges with support, but still not resolution or refund (all I get is response that there's high number of querries).

App doesn't fully work! I'm beyond fustrated. I spent $79 on an app and I can't use any of the features. Their help desk is simply all AI, which hasn't fixed my problem.

Very aggressive with their constant advertising to subscribe to the app. You close one, another pops up. You change tabs on the app, and again another subscription advertisement. You can't do anything on the app without a subcription being forced upon you. The very agressive approach really turned me off. Profile and app deleted.

The meditation pulse really make me relax and walk me through how to get there.

The meditations you can get for free are great. However, if you don't pay for the premium version you only get 3 free listens per meditation, and the meditations you have access to are very limited. Most sit behind a pay wall. There are many other more affordable/free options out there if you can't afford to pay for the premium version to improve your mental health. Editing after calm responded: its really not that accessible as it is. That's great they try to make it accessible but it's not.

Very disappointing experience. The audio in guided meditations keeps glitching and stuttering, with the guide’s voice briefly turning into a distorted buzzing sound. It happens repeatedly and completely ruins the relaxing experience. My internet connection is fast and stable, so that isn’t the issue. Unfortunately, this makes the app unusable for me.
