I just opened the app a while ago😁, I don't know much about it because I only started today🤭 & quite many things are going well but😭 when I'm starting the lessons that go with using the daily 5❤, the lessons videos are just loading blank which made me lose✌of the hearts, I've tapped on it for the third time & I'm afraid I'll lose all, So please try working on this and check out if the other features work right and improve this almost perfect app, overall I'm liking CAKE🎂for the beginning! 💜

A fantastic and unique application for learning languages

Hey this app is way better than Duolingo and I love how it takes you step by step and doesn't rush it. It gives more understanding and real life examples. and also you get to learn by your K-pop idols too. I will continue using this to learn Korean.

Fun and Funny to learn a Brand New Language with.. the BTS crew ... I guess.. just never been a fan of them, but I'm going to be checking them out since they are in the Language learning App with me!

Dont get this one if you're looking for anything intermediate or advanced. They might try to sell you a subscription in order to get these, but they are not even close to the level of intermediate or advanced that you would expect. If you're looking for intermediate/advanced practice: don't waste your money on this app. Refund also seems impossible, absolutely not worth it

This the best Korean learning app ever!!!! It's better than the ones I used before. If you want to learn korea this is the best app for you. The best part for me is that you can use BTS lives to learn korea and also learn how to cook Korean dishes.

I love this app!! It made me learn more Korean words basics, verbs, and phrases! + it corrects your mistake and gives you a tip! but I don't like how when it gives me the tip it just blurred it and said it's "PLUS only" :( but good app overall!! :))

OMG, this app is literally the bestttt. although we still have to pay for premium and are still missing on that without paying this makes learn so so so so much easier and I'm so glad I ran across it and took a chance with it. it's not like all those other apps where you can't go forward bc you don't have premium. I subscribed to this app mainly to use the AI speaking feature, but I was disappointed to find that it is still limited to only 3 tickets per month. This feels unfair for a paid subscription, especially since this feature is one of the main reasons to subscribe. I expected more access, not strict limitations.

this app is super cool and kinda easy to learn. but because all the words came together it's kinda hard to learn and can you add a option to slow down what they say because it help us to learn correctly.

for God's sake. there are lots of errors with the videos (like the path about learn English with tv series unit 5 none of the videos can be watched) and its been a while it says some experts are going to fix it but nothing has changed. we can't send a message either. please be more concerned about the bugs cause if it keeps going I'll cancel my subscription. ( except that it is super useful app otherwise I wouldn't purchase it)

Long time user since 2022, can't believe how long I've wasted keeping my streak when I learn absolutely nothing. It used to be fun and everything was open to learn and free, now all paywalls, they are certainly not a free learning app. A shadow of what was. Don't bother to download, there are plenty of other apps (a certain green owl) and learning tools available.

I really loved the app!! For a beginner like me this is the best platform to begin your journey! This app really helped me to gain confidence over my speaking fluency !! The first thing you need to do is clear your basic.. And this app is the absolute perfect choice!!! The interactive lessons, challenges everything is just awesome!! I really loved the app!! Now that I have canceled Plus I have literally nothing to study! It did not offer the best learning experience in the first place as the content is a little all over the place!!! There's DEFINITELY room for improvements! I've kept a streak for almost a year without plus. Why do you guys not allow someone to repurchase? Do you want subscriptions or not?

Cakw used to be my favorite app. However, I was surprised of how little that I can study on the app. We can only receive 1 heart and use it to watch only 1 video. It means that we can study only 1 idiom if we don't watch ads. I'm not disagree with ads. Nevertheless, there are too many ads on Cake that it would took approximately half of my studying time on the app. Moreover, the feature Speak is only available for VIP account. What is the point of a study app if we can not learn much from it?

Hello Cake, I'm currently taking Hangukeo lessons in your app. I would like to suggest please make more grammar videos. Also, make more vocabulary specifically for verbs, adjectives, adverbs, more words specifically on their own category. So far, your app has significantly improved my Korean language skills. I LOVED the app when I started it in September/October. I was learning Korean for my (at the time) boyfriend but he didn't appreciate my efforts so I uninstalled the app. When I had it 6 months ago, it was completely free with ads, now I can't even make it to unit 2 because I don't have money to do so. The apps is wonderful, but it's no longer free like it was so the appeal is lost. If the app were free then I'd be making a good review with 5 stars, but it's no longer free.

I do not know if it's just because I have an Android but I was only able to do 1 unit and it stopped me and said I had to buy the premium version which I am not paying. It's a good app like how there is actually people in videos unlike duo lingo or something which is a weird robot sound voice. It may be a unit a day if so I'm probably not keeping the app when I can only do 1 unit a day and obviously I'm doing easy stuff right now and most likely get harder I would like to be able to keep learnin

I really, really liked this app at first, but they keep making it worse. There used to be a lot of videos and lessons that could be unlocked with daily hearts, but most of them have switched to plus membership only. I don't mind watching ads, to get hearts to unlock content, but now I don't even have a choice to watch ads, when so much stuff is locked behind a membership. They also used to give 3 free hearts per day, but it's been reduced to 1 heart per day.

It's getting worse and worse. Ads are at every step. To top it all off, you are putting everything in the "cake plus" category. It used to be a great app with fewer ads having a persuasive way for those who can afford to purchase. It was a great app for learning; it doesn't mean it is the only one. There are lots of other apps which do the job. GOODBYE, CAKE!

It's a good app for learning other phases in English but I used it few years ago and there was free lesson for improve in some topics but now I saw it's just in purchases and there's not a show for you decide if you want to continue and suscribe. Before this app was so much better before upload. You could change that about courses and add languages

It's the best app for learning korean. I highly recommend it. The first time I download it I was amazed from there style of teaching. It is very fun and easy learning from cake as a beginner you have to use cake for best learning. If you really desire to learn Korean or English than you have taken a very good decision using cake for learning.

(annyeonghaseyo), it was really helpful because you had an actual teacher that spoke to you and showed you how to pronounce it correctly. It talked about the different letters and where to place them when forming words. The app has a lot of little videos that help you study, especially for people who don't know anything in advance. They really go into depth when explaining by using examples in the video and more. I am so happy that I found this app. (gamsahabnida)

I have used this app for a few days an I'm pleased! this is a fun way to learn Korean and the lessons are straight to the point and easy to understand, I am learning Korean so i can watch Stray kids live videos because there are no English subtitles for them. It would be pretty awesome if you guys could add stray kids to be mix, personally i would love learning with them. I will come back in a months to see how much i improved, if you just started then i will say trust the process, don't rush <3

I would really say that it is an amazing app. It takes you slowly to the next step . I've not taken so many classes till now but I still can say that I am able to learn Korean easily. It is way more better than many other apps which help you to learn Korean. I'm really eager to learn it completely.☺️ Just the only problem is that when it asks you to complete the sentence even if it gets correct it doesn't give the translation to understand it in a better way.

I've just literally started to use the app a few minutes ago and I'm honestly just writing this review now because it was one of my practice lessons for the day. But, from what I've already seen from the few lessons I've had, I would say that this is seem to be a really complete app, there's so many content. And I really like the use of parts of movies, tv shows and youtube videos as examples for the lessons. I hope to not be disappointed in the long run. I'll be back soon with a better review.

It's a really good app for learning, but the reviewing system, specifically reviewing the saved sentences isn't done well because even if you get the sentence correct, it doesn't give you the translation afterward, so it doesn't stick in your brain very well. Also, during the speaking part, it usually doesn't recognize the sentence you're saying no matter how perfect or loudly you say it and you just have to give up on that sentence. Also, the non-discounted price is outrageous.

It’s a very good and helpful app but I hope you will improve the speaking part. It’s frustrating to keep seeing the yellow words without the app telling me what is wrong with my pronunciation. Next update I hope it would show which part of the word I am mispronouncing and show the correct way how to pronounce it. It’s a great app over all.

Great! It is WAY better than Duolingo for sure. There is way more interacting, and it actually lets me record my voice for lessons, and I can see my gray areas and improvements! The only thing is that it quizzes me on things we never reviewed, and it doesn't play the audio of the words. Other than that, I highly recommend this for learning Korean!!! 💜🇰🇷

I give this a five out of five because now I can at least speak short sentences in Korean but whenever I try to load it, it doesn't come up immediately and wastes a lot of time like 2 minutes or more, can you please change the way it loads for ages, thanks for this amazing app, makes speaking Korean 10x more easier to learn than other apps and the teachings are always accurate and I just love the way they break it down and explain countless times in order for the person using the app to get more

It's a very easygoing app that is encouraging, but there is only one problem. Sometimes, when I try to revise the words I learned by doing small quizzes on them, it would go really well until it asks me to "complete the sentence." there's is no keyboard or a 'next' button to push. The question would also be answered correctly at the same time, and I can't press "Next."

Good app. Except in the beginner section on Korean with making vowels and consonants: the male korean voice seems to be a computer voice and its hard to distinguish the sound he is making. Also it would be good if the sound is repeated after the vowel and consonant is successfully combined. As it stands, it does not work pressing sound button again after successfully combining the vowel and consonant.

I want to give it five stars but I have one problem that is really annoying. When I'm doing the speaking test, no matter how loud I'm speaking, it doesn't register my voice and says, "speak louder and more precisely." It also just glitches and doesn't record my voice at all sometimes, so I exit the app and start it again and have the same problem over and over.

I decided to try this app based on the positive reviews and I was not disappointed! This is only my first day trying it, so decided to 'learn' the Korean alphabet on it as a test, as I'm already familiar with it. The beginning lessons explain pronunciation and ways to remember letters, as well as give you speaking tests to try it yourself + so much more, all free! There are also purchasing options in app for extra features. I can't wait to learn phrases! tldr: 10/10 would recommend.

Perfect app for learning Korean language for beginners. There are free video lessons with both English and Korean subs. Video is divided in pieces, you can easily navigate between them and rewatch them if needed. There are also exercises after each lesson and videos of K-pop stars and Korean cartoons with quizzes. And you can watch all that for free, without paid subscription like in the other apps

It's a really good and helpful App to learn English, it increase your vocabulary and help you to reach your listening too, is very interactive and fun. Is easy to use and Amazing for people who have a target language to they want to learn. One of my favorites definitely. I hope all of you enjoy this App as much as I do and learn as much as I do too, I'm not fluent but I definitely increase my vocabulary and get more confident at write or speak in my target language.

This is application incredibly great. Never thought that I would find this one for free. It helps person who needs to improve their English in different level of English skills. It helps a lot with listening because the subtitles and the most favorited is speaking. Because in my country we do not use English as primary language so Cake gives me a chance to speak English and it also grades my speaking skill whether is good or bad. Edited: now it's not free. This is unacceptable.

It's a fun and effective learning app. However, I gave it just 3 stars because it lacks some words. For example I couldn't find the translation of the word subhanallah which means "hallelujah" or "glory be to God", in Arabic we write it that way "سبحان الله", and had to use another app to find it "google". I hope you can fix it and thank you so much for the hard work.

So let me say some thing about this app , this a english learning app where you can simply watch videos and learn but i don't really want to watch animation means i don't like any kind of animation so if you make a option of turning off/on the animations i will give 5 . It's super useful for training your English! A lot of pronunciation practice is awesome, but the app itself is a bit slow, sometimes I start to talk while the app is still initializing, and the result is "false positive" error, but that's not too bad. And no ads, no interrupting "buy Premium" and for free. Thank you, comrades!

This app helps me so much. I'm a non-native English speaker, but with this app I can learn how native speakers make their daily conversations, so I can make conversations too in English. But, while using this app, my phone gets hot quickly and the battery drains quickly. Is there something like a "battery optimization" setting to fix this? Thank you.

Very good for refining your spoken English, especially for non natives and advanced learners. Sometimes there's a problem: the speech recognition sometimes might be broken on some sections, and it get users wrong in pronouncing even the easiest English words. That shouldn't be bad because the developers are quick to fix it as soon as you report the problem.

It is very nice app. With the help of "cake" I able to talk or share my expression in very easily and smoothly way. It also help to me to read the books of English in very fast way. But taking up the ID and their is no guest mode. In a guest mode we can't learn form the lessons .I want to say to editor that add some more good feature which help to learn English in more fun. 😊😊😊👍👍

This app has great user interface and features and i would have most definitely rated it 5 stars only if the conversions in your courses were not so slow and robotic. You see the thing is, people who are just starting to learn English might learn something from this but the ones who can already hold a conversation don't have much to learn from this app. I downloaded this app to improve my flow in speaking english but the app does not offer a proper conversation with a normal speed.

Innovative way to learn english. Great application. And i think it will be awesome if we are able to not only repeat the key sentence or only one sentence (by pressing the drill or repeat icon), but to all sentences in the whole conversation. Like first three times, second three times, and so on till it reach the end and repeat again. But overall thank you for your hard work. Very good applications.
