unable to use

app constantly crashes making it unbelievably frustrating to watch show. It crashes about ever 10 to 15 minutes on a good day, more frequently on a bad one. I feel like for what I pay for a commercial free subscription this shouldn't be an issue. seriously considering canceling at this point since it seems my experience is not unique at all and I don't forsee them changing it soon.

Stability is the biggest complaint. Currently trying to download episodes for a road trip and they either download with no issues or they continuously have a downloading symbol even when finished. Dont even bother trying to play the episode while its downloading because it'll crash the app completely. Also dont forget it randomly decides that your shows are no longer available on the platform even though you are literally watching it

Fraudulent advertising and thievery. lets you download even though it doesn't work on many platforms then they refused to refund me. THIEVES. Don't get this app and their shows SUCK!

i had this app about 3 years ago, I recently installed app again and It still has the same problem when you pause tv series it freezes and plays previous episode, when pausing movies and play again it keeps buffering. When will they fix it i just may uninstall it again and never use again. Not worth the price

I mainly tune into AMC every year for fear fest and this is my first year watching exclusively on the app. would not recommend. you can't watch stuff Saturday mornings due to blackout restrictions and the live feeds are never what's advertised. I'm trying to watch Friday the 13th and Texas chainsaw but only see some k drama across all my feeds and devices. will switch back to regular tv next year

do not download! I tried to download this app to watch my favorite show (its only on here) and I couldn't even get past trying to get an account. You would think they at least wanted users? if this was less buggy or even let me open it I would consider trying again.

Never seen anything better, but they should be able to make it so you can download every movie regardless if you buy them or not because you're paying for it and it doesn't affect them or matter to them in any way at all

I used the AMC+ free trial. It's frustrating to use and slow to load. There's no way to choose which episode to watch. Streaming is slow and glitchy. If you rewind or FF, there is no way to tell how far you've gone. I had to use my phone to control what I wanted to watch on my TV. This app is NOT worth the it. UPDATE: AMC+ STOLE $10.99. this app sucks. nothing good to watch and it's impossible to cancel your plan so you still get charged even if you don't want it. I got a 30 day free trial and it charged me before my 30 days were up and wouldn't let me cancel. Literally every time you go to the help page, account page, or contact page there's some sort of error to block you from being able to cancel

I cannot load AMC+ on my laptop even though I have the subsription through my service provider. So I downloaded the app to my laptop. It plays the show through the first commercial then it says it cannot load the video. I then try to resume the video from the beginning and it keeps looping into commercials. This is by far the worst app for streaming I have ever used. Not even close.

The app is terrible, I'm in USA and I can't stream Doctor Who. Sometimes when I log on Doctor Who will be there, I'll click on it and it takes me to a blank page. Then I'll reset the app and when I load it up again not only Doctor Who but ALL the new shows will vanish from the app, like its just loaded an older version of the app. I've only managed to watch 1 episode of Doctor Who, when it ended the next episode wouldn't load, I back out, Doctor Who and all the new content vanished again

can't use my account on my Fire tv, or my Playstation, and the email with an account link doesnt work because for whatever reason the mobile website doesnt allow amc sign-ins?? very frustrated and trying to cancel but the app settings are unhelpful, and say i need to go to the app store, but google doesn't show any active trials on any of my accounts🤨 i can only hope i can figure this out before the trial ends and it takes my money for this useless account

This app loves to randomly shut down. It also loves to buffer.... I chose AMC expecting to have access to all the episodes of the Walking Dead to find it finished towards the end of season 10. What a waste of money. How can the company that created the show not give subscribers access to all the seasons. Extremely annoying. Unlikely to renew this subscription unless content is complete prior to subscription ending.

The ad experience is terrible, running an ad every 9 minutes for a 90 minute movie makes for a horribly paced experience. Then throw in the ads constantly freezing or repeating and I don't want anything to do with this app.

The UI makes it a mission to have to search for something and they always promote the worst content on the app. And the app loves to stop reacting to any inputs where you just have to reset the dang thing! Truly unbearable, never use this service on the cheaper ad version. With as many services you need to watch all your favorite shows, I like to gravitate to cheaper services. This one has ads every 5 to 10 minutes even during your current show, making watching anything irritating at best and it does not provide nearly enough content to be worth it. I couldn't use the service for a single dr who episode before I felt compelled to warn others.

Save yourself the headache. The app is glitchy and constantly crashes. I reported these issues, but customer support took months to reply, only to claim they had no record of my account! I checked my bank statement and saw that their broken system had auto-refunded my $30 annual promo on day one, yet left my service active for 4 months! When I confronted customer support, they completely ghosted me. Zero accountability, broken software, and abysmal customer service.

the amc+ app on my TV sucks. NO commercials show, just music. The picture talks through it and I have to restart it again. The movie freeze up or don't show at all. It would be nice if I could get a refund.

Never again. Way too many app crash outs during the best part of a show. I bought the no ads and still get kicked out of the app completely at random times. Gave it many chances but constantly crashing out, to open the app again, find what and where I was in my show had ruined the need for the subscription.

I canceled this back in 2022 I downloadedIt again, 2 days ago, haven't been able to use it yet. I guess they're still having the same issues . Just spins and spins and never loads.

Terrible interface and the cast function never works correctly. These are two minimum requirements for any app today, and it fails both.

Just a heads up for anyone looking to bundle: AMC+ actively advertises "full and unlimited access" to Shudder and Sundance Now. This is completely false. In reality, you get a heavily curated, partial catalog. Major third-party licensed films, deep back-catalogs, and live streaming channels (like Shudder TV or live Joe Bob Briggs premieres) are entirely missing or locked behind secondary paywalls on platforms like Amazon Prime Channels. You do NOT get Shudder or Sundance.

Trash ads at the worse times of the movies. Ai slop ads on top of that. Poor volume control between ads ads the movies.

There's something wrong with the app. I hope it doesn't carry a virus. Netflix was running fine until I installed amc+ and now Netflix and this app kicks me completely off the app when trying to watch something. It's irritating.

I have the AMC Plus app installed on two televisions add my phone. it sucks on all three devices. every time I start a movie or show on my phone I have to try 3 or 4 times because the screen loads small in portrait view instead of rotating to landscape. then after I finally get it to full screen if I move my phone a little bit it switches back to the portrait view and will not revert back to landscape. all three devices when Ingo to resume a show it starts back at season 1 episode 1. garbage

Tons of bugs. This app is not user friendly. I cannot believe how much this app costs considering it handles like an app in beta testing. 4.99 a month is a more appropriate charge. After this month is done, I am no longer going to be a customer.

app is completely broken. Try to download something without wifi and you have to go into the settings every time and turn WiFi only on and off again. Then it only downloads about 20% until it just gives up and says download failed

Great content, lousy performance. Doesn't load about 75% of the time. Has sporadic crashes where it just shuts down.

This is the worst app I have ever used. Doesn't save where you are. Have disconnect then reconnect all the time. Simple things that shouldn't happen. After about a year of not having this app. same issue but, worse. you promote Shutter and yet when you watch a movie it stops and disconnects after 10 minutes. Very annoying way to watch movies

how is there no search!? got this before realizing breaking bad wasn't on it. tried to see what was, and it's a mess of bad browsing. and no search bar is crazy. according to Amazon, Goodfellas is on it, except no amount of scrolling results in seeing Goodfellas. had a free trial and I still want my money back. never again

App works terribly. Constantly acts like it has poor network connectivity but loads ads very quickly (you know those annoying ads that appear in 'ad free' services since ads for the same service you are already using somehow don't count).

I love the channel but the app is horrible!!!!! if I pause on a show and then come back to it I can't get it to play back. I have to sign all the way out and then come back in and even then it doesn't work most of the time. so when I want to watch a series I have to spend 24 hours straight and not blink apparently, or it'll just freeze if I pause more than 5 minutes.

AMC+ isn't worth it if you want newer stuff. Older Folks might enjoy it. To cancel just Google "How to Cancel AMC+ and then get to AI mode and there be link highlighted to cancel it.

Haven't even tried playing a video yet. ... I signed up for the free amc+ trial to start watching everything walking dead since I saw so many ads for it, but the walking dead original show isn't even on there? Very misleading-doesn't make sense, can't get into the many spin-offs if I can't even watch the original.

The AMC+ app almost never works, no matter where you find it. The mobile app doesn't work and the streaming app doesn't work, no matter what platform. And it's not like you can use the Plus subscription to access the other channels it advertises without using this horrible app. Subscribing is a frustrating and regrettable waste of money. Wish I could get a refund since I couldn't watch anything I paid to see.

For some reason, unlike every other major streaming service, you can't cancel your subscription in the app. It told me I had to go to the play store to cancel it despite me not subscribing through google play, when it could've just redirected me to the website where I was able to cancel. Just overall very low quality and non intuitive app for such a large company/brand.

I use this app primarily on a Sony Bravia TV running Google TV. This app is infuriating. it will crash and kick out to the home screen multiple times watching a show. Web research indicates it's prone to memory links and just not very well programmed or supported. absolutely embarrassing for a media platform in 2026.
