Overall enjoying the app but for some reason some podcasts have the wrong time. Quite a few times the app will say a podcast is done but there's still another 10-20 minutes left. Makes it hard to come back to an episode if it's showing as completed. A quality of life improvement would be to have to the 30 sec rewind/fast forward buttons display on lockscreen interface.

Clunky and lacking features compared to Spotify. Download and offline play is not a good experience in this version. Edit: Un-/reinstalled per dev. comment. At least now download is no longer aborted. Remaining issues: UI hangs if Internet connection is unstable, only playlists can be downloaded, download of playlists with more than a certain number of songs will silent-abort. I expect these are known issues to be fixed in a future update, and I will update my review when that happens.

A lot of artists I listen to seem to have their discography mixed up with other artists that have similar or exact same names. I report it each time but it doesn't seem to get fixed.

Unbelievabley bad for 2026. I'll let everyone else state the obvious issues but I'd like to point out that, perhaps due to licensing agreements, you CANNOT cast a random majority of songs to speakers. Bluetooth works, but casting? No. The app will skip songs in a playlist until it lands on one that is allowed to be casted. If none are available, the music ends. fun.

I think Deezer has great music options, easy to use functions, and I thought the recap monthly was going to make it less special but I thoroughly enjoy seeing my music taste in specific periods. its fun to customize the app, my page, and I also really enjoy how stylized playlists are. I get so many good recommendations versus Spotify.

switched from Spotify and it's a comparable experience. I had thousands of liked songs and dozens of playlists that were transferred; only a few random, obscure songs aren't on Deezer. I do wish there was a way to save podcast episodes to "like" or add to a playlist. EDIT: service the past month has been awful. At least once/day, app shuts down randomly or I get an error message even with full service and on wifi. 👎🏼 Taking up 11GB of data for some reason. Can't take extended screenshots.

Hello, my personal MP3 files used to play perfectly in Deezer on my Android phone, but since recently they all fail with this error: “Failed to play. The requested content is not loading. Error: MS2002.” The MP3 files still play on my computer, and regular Deezer streaming tracks work normally on my phone. My Deezer Android app version is 9.0.25.2. For whatever reason, the Deezer team cannot make this app stable with wifi. On multiple devices for almost a year the track will stop mid way through and disconnect from Chromecast. Or it will start randomly scrolling through the playlist when you manually arrow for the next song. It rapidly does this stops and disconnects from Chromecast. There is a lot to like in this app, but if you like stable connections and reliable speedy loading of your playlists when opening the app, look elsewhere.

I like the service, but recently, not the app. I'm giving it one more update before I switch services. Over the last month every single song skip pops up a "Almost there" prompt and takes 15-30 seconds to load the next song. Switched to standard quality, deleted and reinstalled, tried WiFi and data. While waiting for this app to load I can pull up and watch HD YouTube videos, start and skip songs on other services, run speed test and anything else I that requires data with no issue.

I like the recommendations here more than Spotify. Too bad their sync between devices feature is not as good, and there is no gapless playback unless you pay for hifi. edited to reflect that they now have better track syncing

this app honestly just sucks due to the fact that all of the good music is behind a paywall and "oh buy my very expensive premium to have no ads and listen to music with free skips," personally, soundcloud is better since if I dont like a song I can skip as many times as I want vs. Deeper you get like 5 free skips, if anything if I run out of skips give me an ad for skipping the song with no skips.

I'll never understand the idiocy of having advertisements on podcast when we pay for premium. It really has gotten to a point where the 'free' podcast apps are superior. I don't have to worry about ads being frontloaded to me, and I don't pay them!

I absolutely love this app. I have Deezer Premium and I must say that it's catalogue is vast. Recently, they added Hi-Res Lossless (192kHz 24-bit) streaming and this has been such a rich feature for my listening experience. I recommend getting a decent audiophile set of headphones for this feature. The music quiz feature is fun.

The audio quality is mush better than Spotify, though it has less lyrics available. No issues with the app on android, though the Windows application needs some work with it randomly stopping and requiring a restart.

You'd think it would be a fairly simple matter to create a decent shuffle algorithm. Apparently not.

The app is good. However my subscription lapsed due to my debit card being hacked. And now on Google, it won't let let me renew with a new debit card. And NOW on any Deezer page I can not connect or open the Deezer web page. Why? I guess I will try another music streaming service. I shouldn't of rated it with four stars. It's NO down to ONE! I have been a subscriber to Deezer for over 5 years. I would give 5 stars if you were able to save the recommended random playlists, especially when you want to listen to other music. Also if the favourite podcasts were also on the homepage. I do like the fact that you can use the sleep timer. Very convenient.

The only good thing about Deezer is the sound quality. Everything else sucks. Especially the algorithm. Lousy design, no option to keep playing similar music when a playlist ends, etc.

One of the best alternatives to spotify. It's only gotten better with updates since I started using it. My only issue is that a lot of bands have similar or the same names and get thrown into one profile. For example, I listen to this band called "Lie", and 90% of the discography listed isn't even the same band. Most of those other "artists" generate AI music. I'm sure if you listen to more popular bands that won't be an issue but it makes finding smaller bands more difficult.

while I was able to transfer my playlists from Spotify, and you have most of my library, the app is lacking. I've noticed that since I switched from premium to free, the app crashes a lot. Like mutiple times a day. Particularly when listening from playlists. edit. uninstall and reinstalled. app still crashes mutiple times a day. It's getting to be unusable. It only crashed during adds and when it tries to make me by a subscription, I can't click no adds.

I have switched from streaming back to owning CDs of artists I love after learning how little of the streaming profit actually goes back to the artist. I've tried to open Deezer on the web to find some songs I missed but it wouldn't let me view anything without purchasing a plan so now I'm re-downloading the app and hoping this works. A superb meld with Spotify

My issues are mostly around a frequent lack of basic controls/options around playlist creation/management. Can't add an album to a playlist, can't add mixes to playlists, only theough manual 1 song add a time adding whoch is not realistic. It's super tedious to add an artist's whole discography to a playlist. The ui for search for my own playlists is weird and feels hidden, like I'm being constantly pushed to instead let your algorithm dictate what I listen to. There's no shift+click support whe

My only issue is it keeps recommending French music in my Flow. I haven't selected anything to indicate an interest in French music. Nothing against it, I just prefer English speaking music. How do I stop it suggesting a music genre I haven't asked for or selected? Please help as that is literally my only issue. Love everything else about the app.

Great replacement for Spotify. they'll transfer your entire library for free and they had all but like 6 of my songs, but had titles no longer available on Spotify so a wash imo. Very intuitive and similar controls as Spotify and tons of mixes and Playlists to find new music. love the option to do music quizzes and listen to radio stations too. All this for less money than spotify and even cheaper if you opt for an annual payment instead of monthly. I am making the switch and wont look back.

Good service with a very buggy app. The play next and add to queue buttons frequently disappear, which makes adding music to play next extremely annoying. The fix is to start a new playlist or force close the app and clear cache. I just want to shuffle my liked songs and add music to play next, that is all I ask.

The mobile app has lots of bugs - it randomly stops sometimes and needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled. It also has issues between accounts of the same premium membership - if 1 account adds an artist / album ... to their favourites I can see it on my account favourites as well.

latest update messed the "add to queue" option which now functions same as "play next". So, cannot add an album or song at the end of your list, it only plays next after current song. please correct

Terrible app. Glitchy. buffers often. crashes often. take forever to load ques and larger Playlists. I find myself sitting around waiting for my music to play which is never fun. I LOVE that my listening habit more directly supports those artist that I spend the most time with (as compared to Spotify for example), but we gotta figure this app situation out.

I joined for the Ai labeling and that isn't available on the app. So, I just have to hope it's a real person. Like any other app. Then there's the lag. I already have to wait for my radio to load in my modern vehicle, but then also the Deezer app. Then once it does load, it takes a minute or more to load the song and play. I know they're new, but the lag shouldn't be a thing and it shouldn't be that hard to put Ai by the Ai artist name. If you log out, logging back in prompts a new sign up.

boy oh boy I love pressing on shuffle and receiving the EXACT same shuffle of my playlist EVERY SINGLE TIME! Genuinely the shuffle button on deezer is just one alternate composition of your playlist, not random, no it shuffles the cards once and if you choose shuffled you get exactly that shuffle every time, absolutely useless. as a side not i have tried the suggestion deezer responded with, it makes absolutely no difference!:D maybe fix your shuffle deezer and THEN respond, lazy

Took a while to get going but its grown on me, UI needs work, looks like a start up rather than a well established and well developed app, and I'm not keen on the font, but sound quality is good, search works well, navigation and customisation is good. Discovery and flow work really well which is what sold it to me, good work!!! 👍

I love Deezer, I've been using it for a long time but I hate it when some of my favourite artist pages have some songs and tracks that were not made by them and it's just some random people posting their own music on that artist's page, it's really annoying.

Deezer’s recent change to “Add to queue” has ruined the way I listen to music. I like lining up full albums to play one after another, but this feature now behaves almost like “Play next,” splitting albums and acting inconsistently depending on when it’s used. It no longer supports my workflow, so I’m cancelling my subscription and moving to another provider.

They will not let you delete your account data easily and they will force you to pick artists at the start you like and will not let you to properly disable search history retention

I just started using and checking it as alternative to Spotify which has become a nightmare. It has great UI, some nice and fun features and it was great how easy it is to import all the Spotify playlists. I like it more or less but it seems a bit buggy with casting music to my speakers. It keeps stop playing the music randomly and I don't get it. It's better than Spotify's volume blast but still annoying for a paid app of this price. Also I would have liked more playlist management options.

it was good at first then My premium ran out, and every song disappeared, and I couldn't use this app. It sucks, and it needs to get rid of the premium and just let it be ad-free,

Unfortunately there is a bunch of bugs that make the use of this app a bit annoying. The buttons to start/pause, back and forward do not respond from time to time. Sometimes the player will start fast forwarding the song on its own by a fraction of a second forward -- making it sound like a stuck CD in a CD player. For some reason the app works increasingly worse the longer it's in use.

This app is gorgeous, and the service is great. It beats, by far, both Apple Music and YouTube Music Premium.

I recall this being a great music service. That being said, the friction of requiring card details before even being able to try the service is a dissuading factor. It shouldn't be that difficult to implement the previous "free for seven days" (or whatever the time period was) trial. Would rather pay Deezer than Spotify, but I'd like to be able to try it without having to start with providing my information. Genuinely, I'd advise the Deezer team to look to Rory Sutherland's approach to this.

When loading large playlists (3,000+ songs) playback stutters and everything in the app grinds to a halt while it catches up. This happens with or without wifi on a galxy S24 Ultra, which leads me to believe it is a software issue. Didn't have this problem on any other streaming services

Switched from Spotify about 2 months ago. I love the deezer flow, the suggested songs are on point and I get a vast array of music that I enjoy and haven't heard before, also love that the playlists have a humans name attached to them. only 3 stars for some QOL updates - being able to exclude a Playlist from the monthly tracking would make this a 5 star app for me. Still very happy I made the switch.

Offline mode turned off on its own, all downloaded music deleted, all settings moved to default around downloaded music. Right during a 21 hour flight. This should not happen.

good interface, huge content, nice synchronization between devices. And the stability has greatly improved.

Simply doesn't let me log in, just says Hold your phone close to your watch to log in. Worked fine previously, the troubleshooting on the website is just plain wrong saying I can log in with a code when there is no option to.

The app has sucked recently but has gotten better, I've had Deezer for over a decade and definitely prefer it to the other streaming services. Customer service is a nightmare but I've used this for years so I don't often use it. Used to be 5 stars, aside from app issues (randomly stopping, closing, not loading, etc) it's brought it down to average. Fix the app and we'll be happy!

News updates, but LOVE it so far. Been with them for like 5 months, going on 6, and they have some really nice features; love the monthly and yearly recap! I switched to Deezer after a friend recommended it to me a few years ago. I was happy with the switch, from Spotify to deezer, at first, but I noticed things I didn't like. the lack of organization choices within the playlists, it would mess with my music queue and other pet peeves. then, it completely wouldn't load for me, even when I was paying my monthly payment. I couldn't see my playlists, play any music, or anything! even though my internet connection was completely fine. no thanks

This is the best app I've found so far for listening to music. My only complaint is that it is awkward to select the explicit album if both an explicit and clean one exists. This becomes an issue for Hip-Hop where a lot of songs become censored. It would be nice to have an option to prefer explicit versions. This has been requested multiple times over the years and probably won't be implemented soon.

They rolled the Hi-Fi plan's benefits into regular Premium with no notice at all, which should be good except they kept the Hi-Fi tier alive and didn't inform those on the Hi-Fi plan of this change and have just been charging us an extra $4 a month since January 2023, for no extra benefit. Asked me to rate it when I was trying to do something after repeatedly hiding useful controls behind an advert that it now has podcasts and I dunno other nonsense that isn't music.

I've had Amazon Prime Music, YouTube Premium, and Spotify, but Deezer is the best of all three in one. Deezer gives you 2 months free before you have to pay for Premium. Try it yourself - it has a few features I love that make it super easy and nice to use.

there is a lot of music here that I couldn't get on spotify, and the lack of ai is nice, however I find the app lags to the point that I just don't bother to use it on my phone, works great on my computer though. also a lot of artists with the same name are often all bundled together in one profile which isn't ideal

Fix long buffering times. The Android auto app is buggy. I like the algorithm and the radar feature.

Regional restrictions. Pathetic.

Not sure if it's a thing on the platform or the free tier specifically, but playing an artists shuffle seems to just play the same songs, even if there are dozens in their catalogue. I end up hearing the same track 5 times in an hour....
