The app has become very poor recently. The text is interspersed with long ads that over fill my phone screen and are difficult to scroll past without accidentally clicking on them. Often the ads do not load at all and I am forced to try and scroll past a large block of grey. Scrolling performance is very slow and not as fluid compared Guardian, Telegraph, BBC, etc. I will have to unsubscribe if this is not fixed. It stuns me that The Times allows this to continue.

Crossword club keeps giving errors. After two months, it is still not sorted. I have found over past two years the app to be very glitchy. Customer services/IT are very slow to respond to technical issues. Unfortunately I am hooked on the crosswords. I have had no problems with the loading of News unlike others. I have had the circular log in many times.

The newspapers are fine, well laid out and easy to read on an android phone, but the puzzles have not been saving progress recently which is very frustrating when you've almost finished a puzzle and you have to do something else and on return you have to start from the beginning again. They used to save, but not any more.

Started using this app recently after not having used it for many months. It seems to have taken a serious turn for the worse. I now have to wait an age for the paper to load, no smart loading of main headlines first. Leaving comments sometimes gets stuck in a strange log in again loop. Frustrating. Dropped another star. Recently the adverts mid article cause scrolling through the article jerky and difficult. Uninstall, use a browser instead and suffer annoying pop ups about using the app!

The inclusion of Google ads now makes articles borderline unreadable. Looks more and more like a free newspaper as time goes by

Sorry to say but I have now abandoned the app and am using the website. The content loads in a very jerky fashion when scrolling and AI tells me that the app is not well designed technically. I suspect it is because video and personalised ads are loading all the time. I have changed some settings on the phone but no difference. I have raised this with the Times but had no answer. I have a top end pixel phone with the latest android. They want you to use the app but need to sort this out.

Almost unscrollable. after lots of communication with them, the app is still really juddery. this is across multiple devices. not acceptable in this day and age. maybe 10 years ago, but not now. please don't ask me to email you to discuss. Before this app was 'improved' a few years ago it was slow, but at least you found fresh news without digging deep. Now, whoever is editing it must be working part-time and only review the selected articles when they feel like it. Articles that are well past their sell-by date of remains in focus while fresh news stories are only accessible by digging around. Good quality journalism is the only reason for keeping my subscription going, but having to access it via this useless app is frustrating.

I really don't understand how this app can have such a low rating and yet nothing is ever improved. It constantly shuts down for no reason but my biggest complaint is the automatic updating which I have no control over and I am constantly losing articles I'm in the middle of reading or about to read. Sometimes I can find them somewhere else but sometimes not at all. Surely it should be possible to switch off the automatic updating of content while you read what is there and update when wanted.

August 2026. Latest problem is with display of comments. Some comments are repeated under someone else's name, but if you switch to landscape and back, it's corrected, but goes back to the top of the comments. Similarly, some comments are just a blank line, until you do the same. Update October 2026: still broken.

I am a paying subscriber using a 3-button navigation Android device (oxygen 16 version). The app is up to date. My phone is a foldable one plus open device, same issue occurs on both the front screen and the open foldable screen. The app is completely unusable because vertical scrolling triggers horizontal article swipes on every single article, especially around ads. Please escalate this bug to your Android mobile development team as a priority layout defect Thank you.

v12.7.0 enters a cpu spin loop EVERY time an article picture was not downloaded at update time. It keeps trying forever if not connected to a WiFi connection or with a mobile data connection. Crummy Code does not begin to explain the really bad usability in the assumption that readers are always connected. Great if one cannot do that, as batteries soon run out of fully charged electrons and so not only The Times is deservedly stopped, but everything else as well! Stop retrying! Only 1 try.

I liked the app until recently when I was suddenly unable to turn off advertisements. While this is not the fault of the app itself it has forced me to switch to using a browser web access and hence use an ad blocker.

I also had problem that I could not log in to the app. Tried everything and re-installing. Nothing worked, including contacting Times Help a couple of times who gave me advice that did not work. Eventually I discovered for myself that the problem was caused by my browser. Changed to a different browser and logged in no problem.

mostly a low score because unsubscribing is painful requiring a phone call and being sold a lower rate.. so always worth calling to unsubscribe and you will probably be offered a lower price £7.50 in my case...

Just look at the user rating for this app. How any supposedly reputable newspaper can be complacent about that kind of feedback should be thoroughly ashamed but not The Times. I suggest you find a better source.

Abysmal. Paid for my subscription and when I log in I'm informed I have no subscription. No response from customer service. This is clearly a scam. Can't even get my money back. Simply appalling, must be run by criminals.

Have used app for years and it's always been a little glitchy but you learn to work around it. in the last month it has become unusable. I am unable to open articles (clicking on the links does nothing). on the off chance that it does show me the page (usually clicking, getting no indication it's registered it, waiting for 5 mins) I'm unable to load comments. needs fixing ASAP. using android version, which needs more investment vs the apple version which never seems to have the same issues

shocking disastrous attempt at app. I paid for a yearly subscription. I can't access the app. contacted Google play, they say go through the times app developer. still waiting 5 months later. Do not subscribe. I can't be bothered to carry on trying to sort it out.

the only bad thing before used to be how slow it is, but I now can't to log into the app at all. no problems logging in online, but on the app it opens a page in my browser to verify with a code that's emailed to me, I enter the code and then it tries to open the app again and nothing happens. i've reset cache, data and reinstalled the app again, etc. i like reading the weekend supplements on the app so if this isn't fixed I am going to cancel my subscription. I use the latest Android version

I didn't think this app could get worse. Huge struggles to log in, reloading app, rebooting tablet. It is now stuck in a loop; enter credentials, screen flashes, back to the login screen. Rinse and repeat.

disgustingly predatory, sign up for a trial offer and jump through hoops on the app or website only to find out you literally can't cancel without calling a phone number. For a "well known brand" to operate like this in 2026, when there is literally law coming in the next 4-6 months to outlaw this kind of practice tells you everything. Rotten, horrible little people gleefully participating in the race to the bottom. Don't bother replying with transparently dishonest "company policy" nonsense.

Main sections fine, but move to readers' comments and it's a mess. Comments fractured (without 'more...'), jumpy, and even text segments appearing under an incorrect reader's name. Hammy.

Deceptive subscription trap - you have to phone them up directly to cancel your subscription, even if you signed up for the £1 per month trial period. The app itself is also poor quality, slow and buggy. Ludicrous for a £30 p/m subscription fee, and morally dubious deceptive practices to try and trap you into that expensive subscription. Avoid.

Logs me out while using app then cannot log back in as login button does nothing! Been using it for years so I am not a newbie. No response from customer service yet. Why is android version of times app so bad!?? I would give it zero stars if I could.

App is full of bugs. Reader comments are sometimes attributed to the wrong reader name. Sometimes app demands renewed login but login process then fails and app closes. Error 404 when following internal links. App is slow to start. Reporting problems just elicits "delete the app and reload" which is tedious and ineffective.

I usually enjoy using the app, but since the new comment system came in, it's been glitchy and I'm unable to post or like comments. It takes me to the login screen for my account, brings me back to the article, where I try to like a comment and.... It makes me try to log in again. Repeat for infinity.

Two problems. Slow loading and a problem with the concise crossword. When partially completing the crossword if I leave it (e.g. to read the paper) the crosswords wipes all content and I have to start again. This is on a Samsung Tab S9 FE+. It does not happen on the phone app.

Cancelling the subscription is made very difficult, I spent 30mins on the phone to cancel, 20 days later they still tried to charge my bank. I would avoid any subscription to The Times.

The Times Online is without doubt the worst app I have ever downloaded. Whilst the content is good, the performance of the app is appalling , and has been appalling for many years. What is even worse, when you ring up customer services to complain they deny that there is any problem with the app. Many articles fail to download. Whilst adjacent ones are displayed, the article you want hangs forever with the incomplete circle, circling for ever. This is a datacoms problem which they cannot fix.

This app is really slow to load. So slow it reminds me of the good old days when I had a dial up modem! Not what you expect given the really high subscription price. I will be cancelling my subscription

The App is now so slow to load that i's almost unusable. Tried to get in touch with the support but the detail of information they claim to need is ridiculous - and the usual attempt to make it appear to be the users fault. They just need to do some proper testing.

Information is great but scrolling is terrible. When you scroll up and down it is like going from 120hz to 10hz. It is so stuttering, it makes you a bit nauseated

Not a review of the newspaper, which is fine, but of the app itself. The app is slow to open, slow to update with the latest edition, and is very prone to crashing for no reason. Using it is a frustrating experience and it's a very poor substitute for a hard copy.

Can't login on my tablet making the whole app useless. it just always freezes after I try and login each time. Wanted the digital paper but no good so will be cancelling my subscription

Shoddy. I cannot subscribe, the subscribe button either does nothing or changes to a circle spinning around forever. I deleted data and cache, didn't resolve the issue nor did reinstalling the app.

The times will lure you in with the offer of a cheap trail period. When this ends they will not notify you, but instead move to their ridiculous package of 30 pounds a month. If they are unable to take this payment they will refuse to allow the subscription to be cancelled until it has been taken. Also the only way to cancel is via phone, being put on hold for ages. Nothing technically illegal, just pushing the boundaries of how predatory they can be without breaking the law.

Been fine until the last week or two. Since then the crosswords won't open in the app on my S23 (but they will in a browser). I keep getting asked to "rotate my phone upright to play". This after reinstalling the app, updating my phone. Frustrating. Can anyone help? Resolved, thank you

Dreadful app. On full broadband articles and crosswords take ages to load. Been trying to login for 35 mins and it always times out. Good articles, aweful aweful app.

Crosswords not opening since Thursday 30th July. Last usable concise was No. 10222. App keeps insisting "Please rotate your phone upright to play", even though it is upright and in Portait mode! Needs fixing. Samsung S25, latest Android version.

Used to love the puzzle section and do the daily crossword but experiencing constant glitches - either I can't download or I'm getting the message 'please rotate your phone to play upright' ... it is upright!! I've gone through all the recommendations to correct this (updated app, cleared cache, turned auto rotate on and off) but to no avail. Looks like I'll be cancelling my subscription!

I do not know what has occurred since the last update, but the App is now useless. I cannot log in at all and stays loading for minutes before telling me I have been logged out. Was this tested at all before release?

Cannot open cryptic crossword in puzzles. App tells me to rotate the phone vertically. Doing this do not work.

Comments section is now a mess. it jumps around randomly. it cuts comments in half. it repeats comments randomly throughout the thread. Times, just look at the reviews you are getting. it's awful. Yet all you say to people is "just uninstall/reinstall"; "clear the app cache"; "please email us with the problem". All you need to do is actually try to use the app yourselves and all of these bugs would become immediately apparent.

Works well for me almost! The issues are the crosswords in the puzzle section, which when loaded ask me to 'rotate my phone....' to play. Have checked all the settings on the App, my phone, reloaded the App and deleted Cache etc, but still get this annoying 'Rotate message. I have downloaded the Times puzzle app which appears to work. Anyone else has this issue?

App used to work fine, but now crosswords are no longer accessible as the app insists on instructing me to rotate my phone upright, even when it is already in said orientation. Not sure what changes were made but they haven't improved my user experience. Slow to load, sizing is sub-optimal for my phone (Samsung S24).

Awful App. Constantly crashing. Wouldn't log me in to see my billing details. Would crash when trying to leave my subscription and consequently charged me for months, had to phone up and that was also a huge pain and no money back. useless app with no support

Don't subscribe. It just took 1 1/2 hours to unsubscribe. Complete deliberate strategy to waste my time and reduce the chance of me unsubscribing.

I've used this app for years and it has been consistently rubbish throughout, and The Times have evidently made little effort to improve it. Slow loading of content. The puzzles, in particular often don't load at all. there will frequently missing ends of sentences and paragraphs throughout, comments bring duplicated or not appearing, issues with me commenting, and today, a new one: when I load a crossword, the app thinks my phone is in landscape when it isn't and don't display it.

App is broken, will not let me log in, just donuts the whole time then bombs out. useless now. Moto edge 60 fusion on Android 16. update 30/7 times emailed me back to say they've changed the password 🤦. and to try and log in again. no change, just donuts. rubbish support so far.

They refuse to cancel your subscription. Edit: I did contact the 'care' email address in the Times' response below, which is exactly the source of the problem because they refuse to cancel and just go around in circles. Deliberate, endless friction, through which the Times is willfully refusing to stop taking payments even when instructed to do so.

As a long-term Times subscriber & app user, it now annoys me. Comments do not load correctly, you see a name without any text, spend time scrolling up & down and the text finally appears. More annoyingly, replies often appear below the wrong comment. Wait a few minutes, because we have nothing better to do, & the replies suddenly change to ones relevant to the original comment. You're charging a £20 subscription for smartphone only access and your app that does not work and constantly crashes. Absolutely abysmal service but also illegal.

App is so slow to load now even with fast broadband and WiFi. Badly needs optimising. And it drains the battery faster than any other app.

Same as all the other reviewers - slow loading, logs me out suddenly etc. Now the additional annoyance from the developers who read these reviews - endless requests for info about my phone and whether the app is up to date etc. but never any subsequent improvement. Get a grip and just improve the app please!

Very poor app on Android phones. Puzzles full of bugs and have to uninstall app and download to fix some issues. Comments boards are disastrous with so many bugs it's not worth time explaining them all.

since recent changes the comments section on the app doesn't work. incorrectly attributes comments to the wrong names. comments jump about when you click to expand threads. really poor. lots of people mentioning and complaining about this but nothing has been done. app good for reading the paper but not engaging with the comments. i have stopped commenting and engaging as i dont want other peoples comments appearing under my name

The Times app is so slow to load on Android mobile, up to one minute, that I've given up bothering and will probably cancel my subscription. Shame because some good content if you can access it.

20/07/26 still being required to reinstall application before commenting and comments being assigned to random user names. A not-fit-for-purpose Application. Update, reduced to one star. An appalling backwards step with the comment boards. I have just pressed 'submit' to yet again see my comment disappear to I know not where. Another reinstall necessary to restore access to comment boards and to try and correct multiple instances of miss-linked articles. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Problem with comments has started recently. Even after checking I am logged in, when I attempt to make a comment the app takes me to the login screen. This happens repeatedly. Please sort it out.

The android version 'Live' takes an age to load compared to the 'Classic' apple version. Could be that the 'Live' is always getting the latest version, as per the title. It would be good if the user was given the option to load the latest news. Also, why can we personalise the section order but not the content within the section?

The app is generally excellent but the fact that it constantly updates is irritating. I'm forever waiting for it to update before I can move on to another puzzle. It would be better if the user could choose when to update. The ipad version is not great. Moving from page to page now requires sliding and tapping the screen rather than just sliding across, and comments aren't available.

I signed up to get the ePaper of the Ireland edition of the ST only to discover that there is no proper screen-optimized text view functionality for that edition. You mostly have to zoom in to read the articles, which is far from satisfactory. No complaints given that mine is a low cost trial but I would not pay normal subscription rates for this mediocre digital offering.

If I wanted that I could use BBC. I want a newspaper. I much prefer Classic App except it does not do comments. Getting really fed up with The Times.

I signed up for the initial offer of £1 for first 3 months on The Times website. After 3 months, I was charged £30 per month by BOTH The Times and Google Play, despite never signing up on Google. I have tried raising a complaint with Google but this is proving VERY DIFFICULT. Please help

My wife is constantly complaining that it has forgotten her puzzle solutions completely on her iPhone. She now takes screen shots. Scrolling on the Picle puzzle on android is useless. Detection of where you scroll from is clearly incorrect. Subscription at £30pcm is over expensive. They claim it is because of Times+ free events and books, but no events in our region, ever, and books no longer work on ebook readers. Don't think that amounts to another £20pcm over the international version.

In fine tradition upgraded from fold 4 to 7 and it's broken again. Yet again the developers prove their software release process doesn't seem to work. From working perfectly fine on my galaxy fold it now won't do the crossword puzzles if the phone is in tablet mode. Pretty silly error to introduce. Just a quick update after 5 months the developers cannot remove a bug they introduced making the app difficult to use. I cannot recommend taking out a The Times subscription because of this.

The Times content is generally excellent.....the delivery mechanism, app, most certainly isn't. Articles take an age to load and whenever you go in to the app the first thing you are hit with is updating which takes up so much time. Really poor app that totally brings down the overall user experience.

Worst app I have ever used.

Soooo slow to load. I sit down for 15 minutes in the morning to flick through the paper and some mornings this app hasn't loaded the news for the first 5 or 10 minutes of that. Doesn't matter speed of WiFi or age of tablet. Other news apps load fast, internet is fast. Taken to now uninstall app and use browser, but wanted to app to download content to travel. This app is really a disaster for an online subscription model newspaper.

Great content (mostly) but overall a poor user experience on an Android tablet - significantly worse than on iOS. Hangs, failure to load graphics etc. Behaviour has deteriorated further following a recent Android update. Rebooting the device seems to help, but overall the unacceptable quality indicates that the Times is not maintaining the Android app at the level necessary.

For a digital pioneer, The Times should be deeply ashamed of this app. It is laggy, fails to open linked articles corectly from external links and often requires a force close and restart. Take a look at The Economist for an example of a well crafted current affairs app.

Update Jun '26: on all my devices this app now takes ages to load content. And it was awful before that. Shockingly poor. What have they done? The app no longer mirrors the newspaper and is a hot mess. Update: it's Saturday. I'm being given last weekend's supplements with no sign of today's. Won't be resubscribing unless this is rolled back.

Subscribed to The Times with one of their £1 per month offers, but even at that price I cancelled the subscription as the app is so bad.

Awful, I've had this for a couple of years and it's always had anomalies but I have put up with them. For the last week it keeps forcing itself open even if completely closed, very irritating. I have uninstall and reinstalled, shut down phone. It has also lost all my previous data on games. SO fed up I am now installing it only the play the games and then un installing. This is annoying but not as bad as the app randomly opening every 2 seconds.

Since the update the app constantly logs you out, preventing the user from recommending/ adding comments. Either roll back on last update or sort out this deeply frustrating bug.

The latest update in Android seems to be broken as you can no-longer share articles Update Nov 17th the latest update of the app has now fixed the sharing problem 04-Jun-2026 who tests these apps ? the latest feature is that in order to post a comment via the application the app has to log you into the web version in order to post the comment. You have to login everything, it doesn't remember that you logged in a few minutes ago

very poor practices on the subscription. they give zero warning of an upcoming subscription renewal. it may have been 1 year since your last payment. cheap behaviour and knocks your confidence the The Times as an organisation.

App has serious authentication issues. I keep getting directed to a login page over and over again in an infinite loop, and the only way to fix this seems to be to clear all data/cache and restart the app every time. Does anyone test these apps before they are released? I'll be cancelling my (expensive) subscription. Update: response from The Times is to email their care team with details. They seem to ask this of everyone complaining about the same issues! Using customers for QA?

Trusted news source. Limited sections (no specific and limited science and environment reporting). Very hard to navigate/use and very slow to manage your account and subscription, almost deliberately so.

Shockingly poor. Obviously the content is the same everywhere, but the latency on the app is ridiculous - often it will take 20 seconds or more to load an article or puzzle. On a web browser, the same article would load more or less immediately. I would avoid installing until the latency is dramatically improved.

Glitch with comments If I attempt to add a comment or even recommend one, I am taken to a login page. After logging in , we go back to the comments and the whole circle begins again . I have some success by removing the app then reinstalling it but that is quite laborious and it only happens again a day later.

2025 - Constantly crashes since new format. Update since original view in 2025. Have just installed latest version (end of May 26). Really messed up app now. Each time I view comments and try to recommend or reply it asks me to login again, so I do. It still refuses to allow recommendations etc but now I have 2 copies open. Today it decided to send me an email to verify who I was, but then failed to send it - really? This really is job experience quality programming. Not worth the sub.

Just subscribed to this. It's not cheap. surprised that some sections haven't refreshed in days so still showing same articles from days ago. However if you switch to print mode you can pick and choose just like the newspaper. Would like option to choose sections with more detail. Room for improvement when comparing to other apps.

Regularly when trying to leave a comment the app takes me to the login page and deletes my comment. Didn't happen under the old comments app.

I'm enjoying using the app now, and particularly impressed that notifications are not excessive and unlike almost every app out there it doesn't repeatedly nag me to leave a review.. if only all other apps' devs would do the same! Cannot read any comments sections - I just see a blank white page.

unable to access comments, when I click on comments nothing appears, using android this costs a lot of money to subscribe to and is yet another bug that has appeared. comments now available following update.

Continually telling you to update but no update available. The phone app is completely broken. Only working on an iPad. They now seem to have updated the app and solved the problem and it works now. Upgraded from a one star to a four star rating.

The app is too sensitive when trying to scroll through articles, advancing to the next or returning to the previous article when trying to scroll down or up. This makes the reading experience poor. Please fix. 22 May 26 The latest version of the app comments section does not work. It's always requesting you to log in, but never actually lets you post until forcing the app to shut down and clear the cache.

ongoings problems with the use of comments, inability to recommend and repeated requests to sign in.

It's been working fine for a few weeks but today, if I click on a link in the page, it tells me I need a web browser to read the content. I'm on Pixel Pro8

Took months to be able to make or recommend comments, now every time I try to recommend a comment it throws me out. I'm amazed they are pushing guest subscriptions on Times Radio when the reviews are so appalling. The poor quality app really let's down excellent journalism.

Updating my review to confirm that, having always been rubbish, the paid app is still rubbish. One bug after another. Can't add comments because it bounces me to a login page. Click on one article and it takes me to another. Unbelievable that this is a paid service.

Just as you had a good version up and running it's all gone awry. Every time I try to comment it takes me to a sign in page. I sign in and then return to the comments, only to be taken back to the sign in page.

Bad app. Pages simply don't load, no matter how fast your WiFi. you just sit there with the timer going round and round. I pay nearly £30 a month to access this content and the app prevents you reading anything. it's been like this for so long it's gone way beyond tech glitches and now into full-blown scam.

Good content, yet I have given up on app. I now access times on my phone via website. This is because of the frustration of daily broken links - click on a headline but goes to a different story. I would also like a filter by author option to follow my favourite writers rather than just the sections option. Puzzle section works well.

App: Top Navigation in the my account section isn't working which makes it impossible to see billig date and cancel subscription. Also can't share the account which is a feature you pay for. Service: No emails about your membership so if you can't track on the app you have no way to see when your cancellation deadline is. Support was unfriendly, made me repeat over and over what isn't working in the app and offered no flexibility whatsoever to cancel and get a refund because of issues experienc

Good when it works, i find a lot of the time, when I click into an article, it just opens the main story, so I have to spend my time frustrated looking at that buffoon Trump.

consistently re-introducing bugs. such as: click on the article headline you want to read from the front page, get taken to a different page. the app is actually worse than a basic website. and i pay for this? (no, I pay for the journalism.. if only I could read it)

Clicking on a story can cause the wrong story to load unless you refresh all content first. App has started to crash on launch a lot over the last couple of weeks. New comment system has a more modern appearance.

I appreciate the ability to read my news online rather than waste paper but the app crashes almost every day, and constantly prompts me to log in to my account. Tedious.

Generally pretty good but in the last few days the app is not able to load comments. Update 26/4 - still having the problem + now it's got stuck in some weird credentials loop. Apparently it's a known issue. That doesn't help guys. A timely fix is what we need. Downgraded to 1 star. Will cancel my subscription if not fixed in 2 weeks.

Killer Sudoku: the number pad for notes mode has gone a bit wrong. Numbers aren't centred when using my pixel 6 and my galaxy tablet. Great app otherwise!

Seems to be an issue with the latest version of the app with articles taking ages to load. Happens on my android version of the app but not apple. Please fix Times Devs.

This app can be very unreliable. The latest problem, which prompted this review, is that it logged me out while I was using it. Annoying as that is, it is stopping me logging back in. First it became unaccessible when I typed in the correct password. I tried another way in which it sent a verification code. I used the exact code but it would not accept it. I tried with a resent code, even copying and pasting it, but it still won't work.

Comments no longer available even when logged in. This has been the case for z while now. What's going on?

I've been using this app for years across two phones, and it's always been glitchy in some form or other. I've been unable to view comments sections for weeks now - it shows a blank screen - and for months when I click on a photo it shows the preceding one. I've never been able to view my comments (when I've been able to leave them) without a login prompt. Sometimes clicking on one article provides another one entirely. Sort out these bugs and it could be a great app, rather than new features.

For the last week or so the comments have not been appearing under any of the articles.

I have been a long-term user of the app and it updates regularly as an app and with current news updates. The app retains my login details and easy to use. It sometimes has problems with not showing comments but if I delete cache and app data and restart the phone it seems to fix that.

While the content is good, the App is very very slow to load

New April 2026 issue - comments cannot be accessed at all. please fix. It's impossible to reply to comments, because it won't navigate back to them! Example, click on a notification in the app and it might open the relevant story but won't go to the comments. Or click a link in a notification email is equally useless, will open the story but not the comments. There might be 1000+ comments to go through to find my reply! Infuriating and it's been the case for years

Still full of errors. Now when trying to load article throws me out and asks me to re login. Customer support says.. Have you the latest version? Yes. Just replace your developers with some competent people. Over a year later and still full of bugs. Time for someone to get a grip..the IT manager needs to go and replace the developers with some with more experience..

Now the Dead Times, not Live. I can't get comments on the cartoon anymore. The paper is full of old articles that I have already read. I can easily search for an article I have missed. Please stop being so annoying

why not able to see comments to articles on Android app?

Hate the "update". You can no longer get puzzles from the last month, only the last week. I don't see how this is an improvement. Oh, and just to add, it now randomly deletes your progress in puzzles too. You can be halfway through a sudoku, leave the app for a moment, return to it, and it will have deleted everything you've done. Has happened twice now. Edited to add: I can now no longer read comments on the app. You just get a blank screen. And half the time the puzzles won't load on the app.

Always contains glitches. Linking to correct page has been rectified but comments no longer appear. Frustratingly poor app.

Now the comments won't load. Have tried updating the app but to no avail. Can you update it so it works with Samsung S25+ again please! missing super fiendish sudoku ends of sentences... wish they'd fix the puzzles for Android, I really miss the Super F sudoku (although guessing the last sentence of every paragraph does give me a bit of a brain teaser)

Terrible. Scrolling lags and stutters. The comments no longer load, which was a big part of the experience.

Saw some improvement for a while after a 2 star review in 2022. Now it's worse than ever. The app loads horribly slowly and the comments sections don't load at all.

This app is really poor: * stories are not updated throughout the day enough so you're often reading out-of-date news. * where new articles are added (1)you have to refresh manually;(2) other stories get bumped off the main page and into the void;(3) many/all of the links break so you click on a story and get something completely different (often all the links go to one story). * the search function is useless. * you can't see your reading history. * since update the comment sections are blank

App functionality poor. Updates take a very long time. Comments sections sometimes can't be viewed. Links often take you to wrong article. The paper itself - writing, editorial etc - is fine, but deserves a better app.

I occasionally used to get the app hanging with the close or wait options. I now get this almost every time I open the app. It is slow to open and generally a poor app. I am using it on a Google pixel 7a with plenty of space etc. I would not recommend this app in its current state.
