app is so slow refreshing new articles requiring me to restart my phone regularly. issue started when I signed up to mail+.

This was my go to news app, but it has now become unusable. The problems began when reading articles the scrolling would jump around, this made it impossible to complete many articles. Next, the app stopped updating, the same articles, in the same order remained every day. I tried clearing the cache and Data, no change. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, it worked correctly for the day before freezing again. Now, after uninstalling and reinstalling, no articles are showing. USELESS!!

I pay for Daily Mail+ but the layout of the + articles is terrible, I can't even scroll the Michael Douglas story about Janet Leigh because when I try to scroll up or down, it goes sideways to other articles. Whoever decided this was a good layout should be fired. What's the point of paying for Daily Mail Plus if I can't even read the stories???

This used to be a good, news app. I have stopped paying for it now, as scrolling the content jumps it around making it very difficult to read. Also going back go the main news page brings me to the top and not where I was in the list, causing lot more unnecessary scrolling. They have put this app behind a paywall. When it was free it worked well, so the extra money certainly isn't being spent on creating a better product.

As ads populate in the app, the screen jerks to show the ads. regardless or where you were reading! On cellular connection, this makes reading articles almost impossible as the screen jerks suddenly around while you are trying to read to force you to look at the ads as they populate. Horrible experience!

Jumps / scrolls uncontrollably around in the middle of an article. Mid way through reading, it will jump down a few paragraphs and then keep doing it. Makes app unusable. Happened over the past few months. Frustrating as pay for plus. Will need to cancel, must be an easy fix?

appalling since the new layout. Will not react to touching and it looks like a children's comic. Now a video starts playing even though you are not even on the page that the story is about. You cannot read a story without it juddering and fast scrolling through to the end then stopping at any place on the story. Really poor app

I now cant read most Mail+ articles on my phone as the new layout means when I try and swip down it either just doesn't or it takes me to another article!!

80% off my comments don't get posted even though they follow the rules and guidelines. new layout is dreadful - I cannot arrange the sections that I want to read. Ads are taking up so much space. please fix

Terrible app. The auto play adverts aggressively jump in causing the article to scroll up and down out of control by itself making it unusable. Keep ads calm and stop them taking over as it infers the app is for people with ADHD. It is virtually unusable at times.. The standard of English grammar is poor, paragraphs are repeated over and over again, and uses American spelling instead of UK. There are better newspaper apps so best avoid this one.

Like many other comments on here, I am a paid subscriber and find it almost impossible to use this app now. For the past couple of months the erratic super-speed scrolling in both directions make articles completely unreadable. Is this just an issue for Samsung/android users or do Apple users have the same problem? Needs sorting or I'll be binning it and looking elsewhere. Can I suggest people email the developer and highlight the issue in the hope they speed things up and push out a fix.

All of the sudden when I try to scroll down an article, it jump scrolls up and down very quickly. It's done it ever since the new update/ pay for feature. Never had this problem before when it was free. Now I'm a paying customer and this started happening. It's very frustrating. If it doesn't get fixed, I'll have to cancel my subscription unfortunately.

As with any sensationalist newspaper, the Daily Mail suffers from accepting stories from journalists who either struggle with deadlines and accuracy or who have not worked out how 'F7' works. The stories are entertaining, for the most part, Though the need to cross-reference information is a recurring theme. The application used to work well, but now longer articles scroll backwards and getting to the end of an article is a bit of a chore, if you can get there at all.

I agree with all the other reviews that this app has got a lot worse recently. Barely have to breath near an ad and it jumps to an app or browser, and the hyper speed scrolling any time you try to go past an ad is so incredibly annoying. Surely they can fix that as it never did it before!

The page won't stay still long enough for me to read the article, it jumps up and down and finishes up in random places within the article. I am very close to cancelling my subscription.

Constantly blocks posts. Ever day posts are blocked presumably because editorial doesn't like them. Just removed thousands of up arrows from account. Complaiming emails get directed to the wrong department who sends you "helpful" links that are no use whatsoever

July 2026 - they fixed the 2025 problems but now it's gone very jumpy again. It also has a LOT more adverts and they are very sensitive to the touch so if you accidentally glance one you could taken to the site and Shein in particular are VERY difficult to get out of. App is no longer a pleasure to use I'm afraid and I pay the monthly fee so expect a lot better. 2025 - Loved the old app but just can't take to the new one, plus it runs more slowly

Used to love this app, now not so much. In the middle of reading an article it suddenly decides to start scrolling at warp speed so i then lose where i'm up to, find it, only for it to do it again. I click to read the comments where it says there are hundreds of comments only to find there isn't. Maybe you're hiding them? I don't mind that there are paywall articles, you have to make money some way although there seems to be more and more of them, but half of the articles seem to be paid ads.

I have to say I have become increasingly irritated by the app lately. Random ads, stories that are actually just advertising. Hot button stories that only have 1 or 2 comments on them. However, the straw that broke the camels back is that I have lately noticed that none of my comments I make on stories have been posting. I write the comment, it shows as posted in the main list, but then when I check the "my comments" tab on my profile nothing shows. No point in paying anymore if I can't comment

It's currently impossible to read an article as I cannot scroll down, the page just runs away and spins up and down. What is the point of an update if it just causes problems that didn't previously exist?

like everyone else that left a 1 star review. which is the vast majority of these reviews. This app used to be great. I'm not sure whose bright idea it was to update it to a non user friendly, paid app to get 85% of the articles that were once free. its clearly been done to try and monetize the app. Typical. and it has rendered this app completely useless. the rapid autoscroll is so annoying it makes me want to slam my phone to the ground. Do better Daily Mail. look at your reviews.

why am i paying for this app and still seeing hundreds of adverts. I am constantly accidently touching ads when trying to read an article and without warning the text decides to scroll by itself, losing ones place. perhaps there is a hidden agenda to frustrate readers so much that they go back to buying a physical newspaper !!

when trying to view a news post, I am unable to view the content of the news item as I try and scroll down, the page keeps flicking backwards to an earlier part in the content and won't let me proceed to the end. It is very frustrating.

I now pay for this news app but it's poor in places. I still get annoying adds. their banner for exclusive content covers the text of the headlines so you've no idea what the story is until you open it. I'll give it another 3 weeks but more than likely to stop my subscription

Nearly every time I see an alert from this app that looks interesting, and click on it, it's "Mail+" , I.e. a pay to read article. This has become more and more like the 'norm' recently, and it's frustrating, so I am deleting the app.

I loved the Daily Mail. It was my go-to for news and entertainment until they decided to charge $9.99/month for most of their ("exclusive") news and content. Sorry, but I think that's way too much pay. I'll find my news elsewhere.

The app is unusable. Where did the read later go? The best part was that you were able to save articles and return to them when you wanted. I had pancake recipes and quizzes saved. All gone now. Time to uninstall.

Becoming unusable with way more Mail+ only articles than before (who pays for news these days?). Also recently many, many articles now just a headline and won't open when clicked. As an example a health story but won't open and not on the health page either. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, cleared cashe and data, reststarting tablet and no change. If not improved in a few days will install another newspaper.

About a year ago I stopped using app because randomly caused phone to restart. Now with a new phone, newer android version etc, I thought I'd try it again but still randomly causes phone to restart. Tried various workarounds/fixes but same result so have uninstalled. How can an app even completely crash a phone? Not good!

Oh dear now it gets worse. When you select an article to read it erratically scrolls itself rapidly as if stuck in a loop. Did sort of work before. Now you've changed the layout format and it's totally unusable.

update April 2026 update keeps crashing . my previous negative comments remain. other users review say much the same Inc. those that pay. clearly DM don't care. 1star rating over the last year and getting worse. Haven't solved the shutting down issue as per my earlier Review. Still shutting down and freezing. Really bad. Seems to have stopped updating stories on the Tablet version and can't find any means to refresh,it many others have the same problem. Same with android phone version.

The app keeps freezing. The new comments layout is poor. No worst comments and often comments are not published for some reason. A recent issue I have come across is that the system does not allow you to read or comment to previous replies from other readers comments for some reason

The App has become totally unstable on my phone and 2 tablets. As soon as I try to select a page from UK Home, multiple pages per second flash across the screen. All other Apps work normally.

Shocking since April 2026 update. When I click on an article from main page the page rapidly starts flicking from right to left between the page I'm on and the next one and there's no way to stop it other than turning device off and back on. The app also constantly logs me out. won't load comments. And the DM chat team have been no help - they told me to use thew ebsite instead of the app. I've Uninstalled and reinstalled the app so many times, cleared cache etc - its a joke.

Since updating the app it's now useless. Certain articles when clicked on cause the app to have a seizure, flashing and blinking and blank screen scrolling upwards. Whoever is behind the development of this app they could not have done a worse job. How can DM not be aware of all the 1 star reviews? Or do they just not care? Better not to have an app at all than to have one as useless as this. Are they paying someone to deliver this rubbish and trash their brand? Also, way too many aggressive ads

Don't know what's happened to the app but since an update, it has developed a glitch where it will be OK reading, then when you get to a particular story it will jump backwards and forwards between 2 different sections. eg, if I click on the Angela Rayner story, it then goes into a loop jumping between the main section and the crime and you are unable to get out of the cycle. It is happening on my phone also. Don't know if anyone else is experiencing this? The old format was much better.

Well done DM! You've outdone yourself this time. Not only is this app generally clunky to use, but it's also full of jerky adds that sends the text flying in all directions. However, over the last day or two it has started freezing up constantly forcing you to close and reopen the app on opening it and again on almost every article afterwards. Very poor offering to say the least.

Subscription not worth it. The DM used to be very informative with new and interesting articles throughout the day. Since they instituted their paid subscription the same articles remain day after day. Not sure why but nevertheless I can't justify the subscription for this type of periodical. Absolutely impossible to cancel subscription. Ultimately had to notify credit card company to stop any further charges from DM. This alone would result in a 1 star rating.

This app continues its downward spiral of steep decline. The majority of the stories are available only if you pay. I would rather scroll past an ad than pay for content that used to be free. The pop-up ads freeze and you have to close the app entirely in order to get the ad to go away. I have looked at Daily Mail regularly for 15+ years (even before the app). Sadly, I'm looking at competitor apps to switch to, and am about to uninstall this ridiculousness.

For some reason I fell for the settings choice and scrolled through all 3 choices. Now, like about a year ago, no updates on any choice. This app 👎A new update and sincere question. I hate ads. Would love a NO AD subscription. However, I did sign up for the new paid subscription that supposedly has fewer ADS. I have NOT seen a lower amount of them. I have been paying for at least 6 months. Whats the deal? Sept '24: Good Lord. I would rather pay for no ads than not have a choice at all.

I have been using this app for almost 10 years. I believe. up until the last year, it has been the best news app that you could have. very pretty neutral, and relevant. current events going on in the world. helped. keep me informed. however, at some point they recently started charging for almost all of the articles. Now you basically have to be a subscribed paid member, otherwise all you see are notifications for breaking stories, but then you probably can't read the articles. uninstalled.

They had a horrible upgrade that made it virtually impossible to use the app. they fixed it recently and now we're back to all kinds of problems again... every time it refreshes now you get booted out. it freezes and you're gone.... on top of that, the shoddy writing continues, the horrible grammatical errors are everywhere... half of the stories, they now they want you to pay $2 a month to read and also when you try and go into a story a video ad pops up which never used to happen

the app has become unusable. every story has a clickbait headline, so you can never know what the article is really about before opening it, and now 50% are mail+ pay articles and 15% are advertising placed in to look like news articles. techically, it is poor design after the update. the articles jump around as each advertisement loads, videos don't play, just an uncomfortable product to use. it was a great news source, and I have been reading the DM since 2012, looking for a replacement now.

A recent update made this app almost unusable. Freezes, crashes, kicks you off. Very hard to even scroll. Tap on a story, nothing happens. Wait, then maybe it works. It's free. I get it they need ads, but I'm talking LAYERS of ads to get back on after it kicks you off. Videos & the timed ads are worst. Can't close for 2-3 seconds. Hunt for the close button. And... adverts on repeat. OMG. DM used to be my #1 choice. No longer. X and others aren't nearly as frustrating.

This app is so frustrating to use. I've been a big fan of the Daily Mail for years. On my Android, the screen keeps locking up and I would have to shut it down multiple times during the day. I can scroll from story to story about 3-4 times and then it would lock. Other times when I open an article, it would be a blank screen. For me to read and write comments, it can only be done on the Portrait format. It doesn't matter that my screen can auto-rotate.

Since recent update this app has become unusable, sticks, hangs and if you click on an article, chances are you will be greeted with a blank page. After between 3 and 5 attempts you may eventually actually get the Article. Also more and more articles seem to be Mail plus which is view by paying subscribers only. Realise you don't get anything for nothing, but considering it all used to be free, it seems to be rapidly changing to a 100% subscription service.

I've had the app for years and read it everyday but after the last update I can't get thru even one article without the app closing mid read or having to click on an article 10 times for it to open. Scrolling is near impossible and a blank screen appears more often than not after clicking on an article. This app is no longer enjoyable to use... It's BEYOND frustrating!

I regularly use this app, as it covers breaking news often not reported in (or buried by) other outlets. That said, the recent update is very buggy. It won't scroll correctly, frequently stops running and closes, and opens articles to a blank screen, forcing the user to repeatedly open/close articles. Recommend going back to the pre-update version if this can't be fixed.

This app doesn't work correctly & has started glitching since the new format. When I try to scroll, sometimes it won't scroll. (I don't have this problem on other apps, so it's the app itself). When I try to open an article, a different one that I didn't click on will open up instead. So I have to go back and keep retrying. Sometimes a blank, white screen will appear instead. & It's not my internet connection. I have to retry like 3 or 4 times usually before the (correct) article will appear.

Update 10/7/24: App improved for a while - but the ads have picked up again and, most recently, the ads refuse to close, thereby locking up the app unless you click on the advertisement. How convenient. Must close and restart the app to avoid the ad. So frustrating because I like the content. I wonder if the advertisers know that most of their "clicks" aren't actually legit - just people trying to get the app to work.

The app is terrible! They changed the comment interface. It's so buggy it seems untested. If you click "read more" on a comment it repeatedly closes as you try to read it. If you receive an email notification that someone replied to your comment, the link doesn't take you to the comment, just the article. Clicking in the comment list won't take you to the comment anymore. The up/down vote counts are incorrect. Why doesn't the App have a "my comments" sort option like on the web interface?

Update is terrible. I'm trying to read articles in the news, and i get an error message stating, "You've used up all your free articles this month," and it takes me back to the main content. I have tried subscribing to the new app, but I couldn't read the articles in the m+. I am disappointed as I am partially sighted, struggle to read a physical newspaper, and now can't read it on the app.

1. The app is now very slow and not all features work. 2. Far too many intrusive ads. 3. A new pay-wall for many articles. 4. Heavy bias from moderators in the comments sections. 5. Increasingly poor standard of English language, including spelling, grammar and sentence construction. 6. Factual inaccuracies in many of the articles. I can get more factually reliable and better written articles elsewhere for free. If I'm going to pay for news, then I will pay for quality and not this dross.

The ads are annoying and you can't read more than 2 articles without being bombarded with Temu or some other rip off. The lag makes it almost unusable. Freezing is downright triggering. No news is worth what this app puts you through. Save yourself the pain, heartache, and depression. Wait until you have the desktop version or find another "news" source.

Years ago, it used to be great, and even the last several years, it was not too bad. Last several months, it's really gone down. Actually, it sucks now, always freezing up and kicking you out. I've even tried unstalling and reinstalling several times. I've been reading for about 8 years now. Now I have to find another app,I will never use again I gave it another go, but I'm deleting it. You can't even read the entire article without ads popping up every minute. Don't waste your time.

This app has more ads than any other app I've ever used. Don't waste your time trying read anything as you have to scroll through so many ads you just completely lose interest in the article. And...don't EVER try to look at the pics. For every 3-4 pics you view you will get the unnerving, unwanting and unappreciated opportunity to view an ad - probably the same one you've seen at least 100 times before.

I've used this app for years. Today I'm uninstalling because I'VE HAD ENOUGH with the constant badgering to turn on notifications. Every bleeping time I open the app. Very few apps on my phone have notifications turned on. This time waster would never be one. And I can certainly choose for myself without being harassed every time I open the app. You've finally managed to drive me away altogether. Well done.

This is a really good app. Works well on my android phone. There's ads, not too many, but the big ones can lock things up. I just close the app and reopen it. DM coverage is pretty good. But lately I think a lot of the material is written by AI or an intern. Sometimes the headlines and articles are really jumbled up and confusing. DM seems to be focusing even more coverage on celebs. I get that, it's easy and nearly free. But please don't neglect real news! You guys were my go to news source.

The app provides huge variety of interesting news and gossip. It also gives readers option of writing comments on each story. However I am very disappointed that my comments hardly ever appear. About two thirds of them are never published. So I've been trying to remove my account, but this seems impossible too. So I am stuck with the account, which, in theory, enables me to write comments, but, if I do, there is about 65% chance they won't appear. Very frustrating!

I just knocked it down from 5 to 1. If there was a 0 or -1, I'd go for that. The app that worked perfectly for years is now glitchy. It crashes every 10 seconds. It locks up my phone. The ads take up half the screen so you can't actually read the article. I switched over to their website, but the mobile site is worse for adverts and the classic site takes forever to load and I don't recommend it for anyone who is seizure prone. I'm serious. I want the app back to working please!!!!!!!

Had to drop the operating from 4 to 1. The app closes constantly. I can't read any article for more than a couple of seconds and the entire app just shuts. Every single article I try to read. It's maddening. Kind of defeats the purpose. I agree with the other review from this month, that perhaps it's corrupted ads.

Like so many others have reported the app is totally unusable due to the constant freezing and crashing. Hard to understand in today's world that DM can't find a halfway decent developer that can make it work . The ads are annoying, but I get that's the price you pay not to have a paywall.

The app is junk now. It "must" have access to contacts and phone logs to function. Even then it freezes up, I loved using this app, but it really doesn't need to have access to every single permission in my phone. The ads are getting more intrusive. Just bring back the old version that we could use for more than 30 seconds without it freezing.

Used to be fabulous, but is NOT ANYMORE. NO NOTIFICATIONS are being received at all now, seems ever since Queen passed. Not on my husband's phone either. We relied heavily on our news NOTIFICATIONS from daily mail, and were wanting to be able to pay for no ads, but not now that the NOTIFICATIONS aren't being delivered from the app nor the online site; like every other news apps' notifications are delivered. Unfortunately, if this persists; we will be uninstalling the daily mail app entirely:(

I've used the app for several years, and loved it. The ads have become more frequent and overwhelming at times. You open a story an ad plays, there is another ad at the bottom and frequently the top then you have the ones playing in the middle and then ones that play over the entire story on a timer, so you have to wait before you can X it out.... Now or freezes constantly. I'm lucky if I can even v scroll down to see what stories there are before it stops working

This has been my favorite news app for years because it's so easy to scan the headlines with a picture before deciding if you want to read more of the article. But the ease with which adds pop up, as others have complained, has forced me to close the app several times in one session. That has got to change. Also, very disappointed the Sport/Sports sections (I'm a fan of Formula 1) sometimes does not get updated. Still happy with the Android though.

Ads constantly popping up. This used to be enjoyable but not so much anymore. The app is constantly crashing because the ads don't load correctly. I'm always being thrown off or dealing with ad bombardments. No matter what phone I've had for my daily mail it does the same thing it's frustrating. I don't know what has happened or changed in the last six months. Hopefully this issue will be resolved so I can actually read a full article again. This has become very frustrating to read.

This is my favorite news app. Very well written, informative and indepth articles. However, I'm starting to stray from using this app. The amount of ads have me losing interest in reading the article. EVERY SINGLE click brings on another ad. None of the ads make me interested in what is advertised...only makes me NOT want anything to do with it and I end up leaving the app because I am annoyed by too many ads.

They have begun to allow the most vile and hateful comments to appear in the past few years. Also, the ads are extremely annoying and take away from any pleasure of a quick flip through the photos. And, the already mistake laden editing has taken a nose dive. The spelling errors have become even more atrocious and glaring. Overall, the decline of any hint of quality in this publication is noticed.

Many different categories. Easy to view and very nice layout but..... they censor most comments that aren't woke so that makes the network suck. A lot. Also, as of late, you can no longer view and zoom in on a photo because it immediately zooms back out on its own. I wouldn't recommend it if you like to comment on articles.

I used to love this app. It was my go to for news but these ads are RIDICULOUS. I am okay with ads. I understand the need for them. But you can't get through one article on here without triggering at least 5 ads just while you're trying to finish that one article. And it's the ads that you gave to waiy several seconds before being able to close them. It's beyond frustrating.

Not really a news site, but it used to be fun to just go to the comments and flame people. The writing is terrible, with plenty of confusing headlines and poorly written articles. The worst part are the ads which are obnoxious and overwhelming. I understand a company needs to make money with ads, but some of them pop-up full screen and you can't back-out or use your phone for about 10 seconds, which doesn't seem a lot until it happens every 3 minutes. Overall, not worth the frustration of ads.

If you love ads popping up every 2 mins, this is the app for you! Seriously though, I understand the need for ads, but this is too much. The frequency, length, and place they play are maddening. Over the past 6 months or so, the ads have become ridiculously unbearable. I'm really close to deleting the app.

This app has been ruined by ads. I can't even look at the pictures from one article without having to watch the same ad 3 times. Too many ads. Please make an option to pay to remove the ads. I've had this app for a while. For the last couple of days the app has been going in and out. It starts to blink really fast and switch through pages. 1/2/2021 I'm officially going to sign out of this app. I can't get through one article before it being interrupted by at least three(3), 3 ads. I understand advertising but this is over kill. Ridiculous!! At least three(3) ads!

I'm not one to leave reviews but, the amount of ads on this app is appalling and should be embarrassing for the company. They're full page and they don't let you 'x' out until after 30 seconds. You could get 5 of these before finishing a single article. I've even tried finding a premium version to pay for but so far to no avail.

A variety of slightly salacious news stories presented via a terrible user interface. Reverse newsprint scheme of white text on dark backdrop is unpleasant enough, but having to scroll down through multiple photos and adverts, only to find yourself presented with the same text from the start of the article, slightly more garbled. I guess ADD is common among users. Still, all in all, better than being dead. Maybe not, I don't have a frame of reference.

My experience with this application is bad. I can't access my profile, or my arrow factor, see what my 24 hour, 30 day, or total is, I usually can't add most of my comments regardless of content, I can't fix it or get any response from DailyMail. There are too many pop up advertisements compared to when I first installed this application. It's like there's "new management" and everything is going downhill and they don't get it! I'm preparing to unistall this application and go elsewhere.

Lots of content and photos, but way too many ads. Once you click on accompanying photos for a story, you might get through two pics before you are bombarded with ads for games, household cleaners, car insurance, etc. And some of them have extremely loud music attached to them so remember to turn down your volume before opening the app. I understand that without ads the publisher can't operate but this app takes it to the extreme.

Booming advertisements that pop up!! Sitting in bed reading a story and then ads pop up that scream at you at the top volume. Spouse was not happy being woken up.. Absolutely no way i can read the news articles if i am in a place where I don't want my phone suddenly playing ads with loud volume. I don't mind the ads, but I can't tolerate the booming volume.

If being totally bombarded with invasive ads that lock up your screen for up to 27 seconds and make you never want to buy the product they're advertising, this is the app for you. If you love tv/movie spoilers right in the headline of the story, the day after the show airs, you're going to love this app. If you enjoy news stories full of spelling and grammatical errors and non sequitur captions to photos in the story, you'll looooove this app!!

I've been reading Daily Mail Online for years. I never minded the ads before. Now I am pounded with pop-up ads every ten seconds or so. It makes it very frustrating to read an article. Adding to the frustration, it's the same couple of ads over and over. If I didn't click on the ad the first time I sure won't the twentieth time! Can you please come up with a better plan?

Used to love this app, but everytime I swipe past a picture an ad pops up and you can't even close them right away. I think in gonna remove it from my phone soon. Can you imagine reading a book and everytime you turn the page an ad pops up. This app is like that but worse. I gave it two stars because I still like the content so much so that I was willing to pay for an ad free version but that's not even an option.

Your ads are getting out of control. Used to be structured really well but now they're just terrible. Time for an app with less intrusive ads. I understand businesses and profit motives. But your approaching the catch 22 with advertising. You need more ads to maintain revenue, but the more ads you put in, the more people leave, which forces you to put more ads in. On to flipboard, hope it's not as bad as this.

The continued pop ups, videos and browser hijacking-advertising, made it painful and nearly impossible to read news on this app. The site just piles up a bunch of old news. It's pretty obvious that these articles are not written by a journalist, they couldn't use a spell-checker to save their life. The app takes over almost one-third of my phone with display advertising. I would suggest you find any other source for your news.

This app used to be my go to...and my NEW COMPLAINT is the new way your pics embedded in the story come up now! I like a ton of others read your app( hardly at all now)on my phone.....the pics in the stories are SO DAM IRRATATING NOW! If you tap on it takes you out to the beginning. You cant tap on them to see close up and the darn explanation of the pictures take up half if not MOST of the pic. We used to be able to tap in the words and they would disappear and we could zoom in in the photos.

Simply unbearable. Constant barrage of ads covering content on my mobile. It does not matter how many times you click on the x on the top right of an ad and then on, 'Stop seeing this ad', they keep coming back. Over and over and over and over again. Does ex-ing out an ad count as a paid click to Google, I wonder? Won't be using this anymore. Disgraceful.

For years I have gone to the Daily Mail for news. Like others have mentioned there's something seriously wrong with this app. Everytime I open up the app I'm able to maybe read about 2 or 3 minutes and then if I go to one of the Mail's featured photos, my Android crashes or the screen turns black. What's worse, it's hard to get my phone to unfreeze. Sadly, I had to uninstall this app. Please fix this problem!

Used to be good, now it automatically opens advertisement apps and gets stuck in a loop that I can't get out of without closing the DailyMail app. Makes the app unusable! Update: well they fixed the advert loop issue, but now the app is unstable and crashes when I try to use it. Just what is going on there at daily mail?!? I used the app for years without issue, but suddenly have had many issues in the several months! I am about to give up in it / them.

love the website and was thrilled when first using the app. It's actually easier to navigate the site through the app than it is on a pc. However.. you get what you pay for and it's free. It works about 60% of the time. every time there is a new update it crashes, it goes through stages where it hijacked your phone and plays ads at full volume with the app closed. It's great when it works but it's broken much of the time including right now as I type this. I give up!

This app now redirects you to the Google Play store for other useless apps while reading articles. You can be reading an article and don't have to click anything and all of a sudden your phone is taken over and redirected elsewhere. If you try to go back to the Daily Mail app, you'll just be redirected over and over again to other useless apps. This is very annoying and makes your phone seem like it has a virus. Very suspicious.

Tries to get you to install unknown apps. Used to love this app. It does have ads and recently the ads have gotten larger. Today while trying to read an article, the app exploded with a multitude of other apps from the Google Play store and the only way to stop it is to "force close" the Daily Mail Online app. The new pop-up ad campaign was successful. It succeeded in getting me to uninstall Daily Mail Online. Don't know who came up with that bright idea but no thank you.

App taking over the phone. The app randomly redirects to the play store, jumping from app to app. In between I can see some kind of upload screen for a second, but not long enough to grab a screenshot. It's not easy to get back to the article and even after leaving the Daily Mail app, the phone still jumps back to the play store and flips through more apps. Think I'll delete the app. It's too sketchy.

Too many glitches too many ads. It's very annoying when you are going through pictures and every other image is a pop up ad, some even full on commercials. The commercial ones play with sound even if you have the audio on your phone down. Comments: If you read or like to comment, sometimes you will be directed to another screen advertising another app. It's weird, glitchy, and difficult to get out of. One has to hit the X before getting out of the screen only to be redirected to the page again.

I have been using this app for years. I check it throughout each day. When they added ads between the stories (when swiping between them), I got used to it. But, blocking half the screen with ads is making the news articles too hard to read. And if you turn your phone, it blocks the whole middle of the screen making it impossible to read the news. So, I'm here on Google play looking for a new app for news.

This app's articles have more grammatical errors than an elementary school. It's embarrassing. Now they have ads and video pop ups after every other photo and just opening up the article. TOO INTRUSIVE! Not to mention half of the articles are either made up or the headline doesn't match the article. Often times, half way through an article, it starts talking about something else, like two articles got mixed together. Don't waste your time. Get a more reputable app. UNINSTALLED. I'VE HAD ENOUGH!
