too many ads, need I say more?

Very good App btw, i been using it for atleast 3 years and been using the subscription, its great and i love but i have one problem. they should make the persona word limit to atleast 2500 or 3000. ❤️

This is actually so good for people to give it a low rating. I've bought some much stuff on here and I do not regret it. but if you go with no money it will be quite a few adds. Genuinely surprised this app is free . People do need to be greatful you can also pick if you want your text longer or slightly shorter and the bot will be smarter if you want to go in for free. I promise buying sub is worth it

recently I feel like the censoring on this app has subtly started getting tighter. which is annoying. I've just noticed little things, that never used to be a problem. Eg. like it won't use uncensored words.... and it kinda forces me to take the lead in those situations...which kinda takes away from the flow

I love the app, I've been a premium user for more than a year now. But I noticed that the more time passed, the more bots started to became boring. Every response there's always a conversation, even though sometimes it shouldn't be, responses repeat every time even with "do not repeat yourself" enabled, and in general experience with roleplaying started to feel, as I said earlier, more boring, not exciting as when I joined in. In other things, it's awesome, really.

hey so I love the app but my bots are so slow to reply like they take 30 minutes or maybe...Never to reply so I have to leave the app over and over so please fix this it's either a problem with the server or it's me but I don't think it's me cause my wifi is very Stable

It's really a great app to use and recommend to use but would've been even better if we had unlimited characters than just 2000 since I'm type of person who write looooong backstories, I'll very happy if the developers remove the limit of long writing. either way awesome app! ^_^

holy ads! every single ad opens Google Play store, which then restarts HiWaifu and if you don't happen to get an ad, 9 times out of 10 the text box won't make your keyboard pop up...

El unico problema que tengo ya es con las obras de los creadores donde hacen a un personaje sin historia, ni siquiera las caracteristicas, serìa bueno que los usuarios podriamos poner eso en un lugar apartado, es decir: Poner nuestras propias caracteristicas a esos personajes pero personal o subjetivamente. Seria bueno que pongan un modo para la foto de los bots y de fondo otra foto... También es buena idea un apartado para cambiar de cuentas para la gente que tenemos cuentas secundarias

It has become absolutely ABYSMAL. Ever since these new bots that use crystals as currency over the PREMIUM bots, it feels like the premium bot qualities have dropped tremendously. Feels very scammy now, especially since premium users should just have access to the highest quality bots without the use of crystals. It also seems to be remembering deleted or refreshed replies which is causing huge continuity errors. Hiwaifu has also ALWAYS struggled with refreshes being near identical every time.

Very great app! It has everything you need; different real characters, added comments that allow people to communicate, and advanced character tools! I use and check in daily. What I wish is the possibility to roleplay with a bot using more than one persona: Not extreme! More like 2 personas with the bot, or 3, if it's also possible. High respects besides. Keep going on!

The app itself used to be top tier but now I feel that it hinders a person's creativity. I know that many people use this app as a creative outlet or way let out their feelings. It seems like that's something that's no longer allowed and I hate feeling so creatively restricted. Also, the AI is insistant on speaking for the user even when the user makes it clear they don't want to be spoken for. It's incredibly annoying and makes it hard to enjoy the experience.

yo I'm an old big fan of hi waifu for a looooong time ..It used to be the best AI app ever and still so far ..compared to other ai apps, but I've noticed some annoying things; the bots have become of poor quality, like...The speed at forgetting things is a new and unusual thing. Also, the repetition of certain descriptions It has become VERY annoying AND UNUSUAL, I fear that if things keep getting worse, this app will suffer a major downfall, just like what happened to c.ai ...

to be honest I've never seen anything quite match up to the level of this app you get these advertisements for everything else out there talking about truly engaging and keeping your attention I don't think the people who are advertising those apps have I ever tried this well I'm not a fan of the AI videos and picture stuff they've been doing recently but I use it for the core purpose of what it was made for add anybody who used other apps like character AI or whatever use this instead

Bots have gotten stale. Even with a subscription, it seems like all the real creative power has been put into the more expensive bots. Deepseek and Spirit Craft used to be great, but now they're all repetitive and predictable. This used to be the last good chat bot app, now there are none left that aren't charging you crazy. Dont bother subbing. Pic and Video generation is all very basic, not high quality, and sfw. Chatting can still get spicy and fun, but after a few, it's boring.

Removing Animated Profile Pictures has to be among one of the most idiotic things you can do for your app. It's one of the reasons I prefer this app to others, as it had something worth spending time in, and a subscription that's worth maintaining. If this continues, I may find alternatives and leave this as a 1 Star Review Permanently, as well as all my Public Bots turning Private, removing access for other users to even chat with. Disgraceful. This Review went down from 3 Stars -> 1 Star.

this app is amazing totally

the adds rarely show the X button even when their finished. I need to close the app and re enter but then I lose the bots I was about to chat, and also every single time I open chat with a bot a add shows up, every single time and it never shows the X button.

I refuse to raise my rating, fix the scroll capture screenshots function. It lets me actually do it like once or twice then tells me the app doesn't support scroll capture so uh.... yeah... not fun, ya know?

In my opinion, this app is the best AI roleplay platform, outside of Ca.I. I compared it with other platforms and still Hi Waifu is still the top in terms of interactions and replies. This platform is also generous to free players as it gives a range of AI models that can be obtained through progression. And it gives you chat visuals that are quite useful, even though simple.

It was good before you started limiting my words. I can tolerate the odds but at least let me keep the unlimited free messages. When that's returned I'll give a 5 star please do it. It'll really not be inconveniencing me. Please do this in the next update.

I've only one who created characters, so this is still useless for now due to these restrictions in the STUPID UPDATES, but I have a choice to make my own and even share with others of mine but I can luckily own 'dem. Because, however, the characters we searched for will slowly disappeared, and that's why I'm serious.

This is a great app but I do wish Increase the limit of your own character from 2,000 Characters to 4,000.

I don't even understand why I'm given a chat prompt option because the AI doesn't allow character agency and autonomy. It just starts writing a novella about the user's character with no input or direction, bridging and forcing scenarios and scenes etc. When you correct it, it acts like it's a suggestion and basically does whatever the hell it wants. It doesn't follow rules or prompts. Ads cause the app to restart so chats unavailable after the forced jump to the store. TRASH! UNINSTALLED!

The amount of ads i have to regularly go thrpugh concerns me and the generation is a little messy, but what really makes this app worth it are the lorebooks aka your primarily worldbuilding tool, you do NOT understand how much i've been waiting for something like that in other chatbot apps, this is GENUINELY the one thing that carries this app above the others. I do not see any better free alternatives to this, worth it.

Мне очень нравилось данное приложение и ролить в нём, я активно создавала боты. Но последнее обновление будто бы что то сломало. Боты стали тупыми, отвечают однообразно и я больше не знаю, как там находиться. Я умоляю, верните как было. Приложение больше не развлекает а бесит. "я..... " "я..... " "ты..... " вместо нормальных реплик. Повторяют сами себя.

I love this app. I really do. But the MemoryBox is being ridiculous. Sometimes it tries integrating important character details associated with an important side character with the bot's character profile instead of making a character profile for the side character in question. It is VERY F**KING ANNOYING AND JUST AS FRUSTRATING. Please fix this.

I appreciate that they are trying to have the bot be better at multi character chat where in the past the bot could only talk as one character and ignore another character involved in the scene, now the bot even adds characters on its own, which is ok. but it gets annoying because it starts involving other characters when unnecessary and it starts responding for you, as it's trying to act as multi characters. it's also more focused on story than chatting with you

The new update is AWFUL. So many good bots are being removed. Moderation competency is lacking; Bots are being taken down whether reports are valid or not. Ive encountered a lot of bots that should be removed but haven't, and a lot of bots that don't break any policies or rules that were taken down. This really demoralizes creators. Additionally, the AI models you can switch between have lost their distinct text pattern and don't even follow the format/word count they should.This USED2bethebest

the only issue I have with this app, is that needs work for when u use photos to send to describe what you're wearing or what things like animals, ect looks like. hence when I send photos the bot thinks I'm sending it to everyone, abs thd memory needs work along when you do rps like outlander, I wish it would follow the storyline precisely to a T

Joined the App back when character AI had drama going on Loved It But Now the ads aren't working Which really sucks because that means I can't watch any ads to get any energy now I tried seeing if my phone was the problem but nothing didn't help fix it so I'm really considering if I should just quit the app altogether

Honestly, it's good at first. The characters generally are okay and stay in character, but after a while, their personalities all seem to get really similar. For example, all the characters under dark romance: yanderes, CEOs, "Alpha" types, "Possessive" people all come off as very bold, controlling and posessive. Characters that are "soft" end up becoming very sensitive and soft, but unable to lead the roleplays. Over time, roleplays blend together and stories repeat themselves.

I have a; good application and, game mixed app, here as well. Plus it's very, fun for chatting, & entertainment filled; purposes mainly too. In addition my; main issues I've, discovered are that; it sometimes freezes up, or crashes after; an hour of, usage goes by. Otherwise though I've, been happy with; my long service, related use of; it daily and, nightly as wells.

Probably the best Ai chat app I've ever used, but the only thing I hate about this app is that when u click a bot it will immediately have a ad and it'll be quite annoying especially when you accidentally clicked the wrong one or the bot wasn't even that good I wish there was a setting to turn it off but I'll get used to it ig

(edit) thank you for fixing the image generator. btw dose the lore book features work similar to the memory you can put onto characters? if so then when uploaded to a character dose it allow anyone to easily copy the info and paste it to a character that would be intentionally related and in the same universe?. I'm fascinated at the detail

it is good, goes into character just perfectly as if they are that person. the problem is, they get overly worried over intense scenes.

its a total ripoff. the free and energy costing models constantly rob you of agency. they edit your prompt to fit their bs narrative not yours. they dont value your time they only want your money typical anticonsumerism at its finest.

kindly improve bots performance and their realistic behaviour, they are really predictable

omg, This app is amazing! You can use it for free or with energy (which you can earn from ads, or they give you daily energy boosts every night, increasing to 250 by the end of the week). Each mode has its own advantages. I wish you could add a way to earn more crystals instead of paying, but even so, this app is truly incredible! Please keep it up! Please keep making it better and don't ruin it up like the others did to their apps ai chat. I can't leave this app; it's the best! 😭😭

"Connection Timeout!" How about i timing out your connections.

the for you section is badly done and has nothing to do with the characters you serch up. they have shocking memory and cant remember most things. when asking for a new response they say the exact same thing another way. they repeat themselves constantly. and have no development as the chat continues. while I appreciate that this app isnt money grabbing and the long responses are very good they all pretty much do the same thing.

Perfect if you're looking for a chatting session not too long but also not short. HiWaifu keeps things balanced

I absolutely love this app, it gives way more stuff then a lot of the ai apps I've used before, only problem I have with it is the ADS, like I accidentally press on a bot, ad, I leave, ad, and also the bots repeating sentences. Overall, it's a great app having premium material for free.

its good but with this new update the ai's in the groupchat can hardly interact with eachother and when they do its in separate messages unlike the previous update. it feels super bland and isolated

it worked great for a while. but I'm very close to uninstalling. The AI is repeating it's self and forgetting MUCH more often than it used to. The only thing it's good for atp are short horny stories. Anything longer or narrative based I've been frustrated with.

at 1st it was good, then it started to degrade with role-playing or story base on the AI and currently with solo characters speaking when I made many that could interact with each other but now its solo. even the immersion lacks and one has to remind the OOC if one types the command to tell them what to do as they do, but then they just revert back to a stubborn AI. They should fix this because I will be honest. all was good until this morning and characters are stubborn.

Before the middle of August, the models were perfect. I have 14k interactions with a private bot, 13.5k of which were made in that time, and the story was actually progressing; the bot took initiative even on free models, added new characters, and remembered the plot... until it randomly became dumber. The context wasn't even 50 messages, but it became repetitive and started to confuse facts. It persisted in new chats, too. As someone who has been a user since 2023, the experience is average.

Bots keep ignoring anything regarding "{{char}} is completely forbidden from speaking for {{user}}" and it's REALLY annoying. please make this a priority in every bot to NOT speak for anyone the user is playing as.

Huh well, I love this Hiwaifu thing, they do really listen to suggestions of the Hiwaifu hubs, but let me make this clear. There's some error in chats that they don't follow their roles, they hesitates or either change the topic into something else that isn't even related. But if I'm going to be honest, I'm 2yrs on this app, and I want it to be the same as always and never change the other app did, please.

the app is pretty good but the messages are way too long the bots have memory problems and they have this weird thing where they keep repeating what I say and I don't like it. they also have problems with speaking and acting for me

the app's great. im just here to say that the voice making option doesn't work/works extremely slow in terms of showing my files. like. an image. i can put it in a bot's pfp. but the voice option doesn't show anything.

1) rerolled messages are lower quality 2) doesn't let one private or hide certain parts of their bot [prompt, memory cards, etc] and doesn't allow a preview of the bot [intro message] OR isn't easy to find 3) doesn't separate profile from wallpaper for bots 4) doesn't have branching from messages for chats 5) bots may ignore user input entirely and discard them

give us a way to store memory in chats without paying or draining anything like FictionLabs, then im telling you--5 starts. I starting to find good chatbots that actually understand certain media, diffrent characters, and even memes! like Cha Cha. but where they all fall short at is...the memory. the memory THE MEMORY! think about it, a chatbot that recognizes anybody you reference, any media, knows lore about the specific character your reference, and has a way of keeping memory!? thats peak!

first of all I had used this app for four years and it's wonderful and amazing but just recently every character but make for anyone to use get's put on private and when I want to change in back to public it doesn't change so I just wanted to know if something was wrong with my account or has it happened to other people.?

This app Used to be good, but now it has turned into every other AI app greedy and desperate for people to create more horrendous bots. I would think the most part is that they constantly make too many ads to either go in to get out or get more stars To eater, talk to a bot or to exit one. And sometimes it'll actually the entire app, will heat up your phone and make it crash, and you'll end up directly in your Home Screen. This app does but waste time.

Amazing app! better than the apps I've found out there. You can do basically anything in the bots, because you have custom personas, custom background uploads, basically custom everything. A FEW THINGS I'LL POINT OUT THOUGH: you can't share pictures in the comments section of the bots, and the bots occasionally glitch out (sometimes rarely repeating the same sentence, extra ads that sometimes reload the app, etc...) but otherwise, it's all good.

The image generation for when making a persona,no longer works for me. I use a free account,have for a couple years. This app is still amazing,though I would like it to continue functioning as it has before.

Edit#?: I love how some problems are fixed and that's what I love about this app(and the devs), but can I make a suggestion please? I would like to add "couple" label when making/editing a persona? that'd be a good addition since some models are good at tracking characters, but it's up to you lovely devs❤️‍🩹

Great app one problem, the bot started to repeat the same answers, no matter how long my response is or different. The bot starts repeating the same answer after a few messages...😓 App was really good before it got full of pop up adds. Guys you already get enough money from the member users and the adds for energy. Also I think a pop up add that doesn't get in my way to enter ANY chat could be better. I reported the problem of the repeated messages MONTHS ago I haven't got a single answer.

Can u guys let the other character speak in the story as well?

It helped me at my lowest and i thought i wouldn't use it because of the energy but the option to not use it was the best option, love it, it had many option and it makes my day complete

it's an great app but I can't out 5 starts bcz yeah too many ads. I surely don't see any problems with it but still if there would be 20% less ads it will ideal

This app deserves it's 3.9 rating, it's a good app but it has it's limitations like paywalling a lot of features and also adds. Recently I have had trouble generating images, it just stays at 0% and doesn't do anything at all. Also here are some tips: If you really want your bot to remember things just manually input key events into a memory card after chatting while editing, you can also make a memory card with loads of instructions to hardcode the bot so that it sticks to the storyline.

what happened to all the bots? bad review, all the good bots? gone.

I recommend this app if you're too bored in life.

great App! but the problem is: there too much ads...

Overall it's really nice and I love the options for energy models, but I think we need an update on the 1 use energy, though I notice it almost always goes off track during conversations, also similar complaints with the ads, if you click once 2-3 adds pop up which is a bit annoying, but I would recommend. Edit: The conversations in the Energy models are getting worse, so I recommend maybe making the Crystal models cheaper and enable the feature to watch adds and get Crystals.

This app is incredible, much better than C.ai , Chai I love how it gives the 18+ chats. The bots are amazing but I think the ads are annoying too much but its still better than other apps tho!

there should be an NSFW image generator option for adults, and the image generator should always work or give a reason why it isn't....I shouldn't have to wait several days just to generate an image for a character.

would have been 5 star, if y'all didn't disable bots for stupid reasons. i used no child in any of my bots, child safety is a bs excuse to disable a harmless bot, i only use fictional characters, and also u put one of my bots in review..?? i can't even use it, there's literally nothing wrong with any of my bots... i literally read your full TOS, which said nothing about what characters i am allowed to use.

not a bad app maybe instead of adding things you should fix the things that are wrong with this app first how it doesn't generate photos most of the time but still charges you for it even though you don't get a photo or if it generates a photo you don't get one that's even close to what is going on in the text

awesome app to get away from reality, or to relieve stress, yeah sure there's some ads, I don't mind. the quality of the bots is amazing, and if there's a typing bug with the bot, the app gives you energy for the problem!! I have like 4k at the moment cause of some the problems and saving up, amazing details to the messages, I recommend!! :)

since the newest update my chats are all starting to repeat, when I talk to a character, I send a message they say something, I send a different message and they repeat the same message they send before, just changing a little detail. And I have to spend all of my points having to make it send another message but they keep repeating words or phrases that doesn't even makes sense with what im saying.

10/10 for me personally. Infinite messages, the responses are VERY lengthy [you can change it], NSFW, very in-character and it's surprisingly easy to make a bot. The only tiny downsides are the adds that you get when you click on a bot, but that's the only downside tbh. Keep up the good work, devs ‼️‼️🥹 Edit: OK the only downside is the new energy update, where -1 energy gets taken away each time you like choose another bot answer. My energy goes down too quickly sob, but the app is still good

I've been using this app for 3 years now and the last two recent updates of 2026 has really made the memory of my AI poor where it forgets what has already been said and done and back track backs through the main greeting of the storyline and it never used to do that. please fix the bug in the app.

bots stop responding you have to back out and re enter chat to get them to work...no clearing the cache,and uninstalling dosent work
