Minimal app that allows you to see high level quickly but don't plan to work from it. For instance it does not allow you to pay a contractor while at the job; even if they are set up with direct deposit in your account. Instead, you must log in through the web browser which doesn't fit a phone and you have to zoom out to 53% to try and get any detailed work done through QuickBooks online mobile web browsing.

Don't you hate it when an idiot thinks they're smarter than you? that's the feeling I get every time I use an intuit product. intuit is like an airline: continually pushing to see how much their customers are willing to suffer before paying more (and more, and more). Do yourself a favor and use Zoho instead. Much easier, less in your face, and way cheaper.

Useless, stopped opening properly months ago. Can't manage any of my accounts from my Samsung Fold6. I have un-installed and reinstalled multiple times. Searched for updates, work arounds, nothing... when it worked, it was a lovely extra to handle random issues on the go. Now it just sits on "Setting up QuickBooks for you" forever. Doesn't matter if I am on wifi or 5G. It will not progress past that point. Would love to be able to use the service I pay for every year.

App functionality is okay at best. Customer support is absolutely atrocious. The Ai Bot is just as helpful as their "customer service". Have been emailing back and forth for about 2 weeks just for them to stop answering everytime. I need to upgrade my plan and they tell me I must call to do so. On that call all they told me I need to contact Apple Hotline to fix my subscription. I'm not sure how Apple could fix the issue since it is Intuits app. I'd look at other options before you commit.

There are quite a few issues (and limitations) within the phone app, but the most recent one is the inability to add a journal entry using my phone. I'm able to access the screen, but it won't let me enter any data...have to do it on the desktop. Another issue - if the Scan Receipt function times out (regularly), you have to retrieve the crumpled up receipt from the dirty trash to retake the picture or take a regular picture as backup. Either way, it is unnecessary duplicate efforts.

Quickbooks has gone through lots of changes in past year alone, more expensive subscription, recently constant app glitches, and just yesterday, my account was close without notice or reason, spent over an hour with 5 different agents to resolve issue, I lost access to cash account and customer couldn't pay invoices, it was the last straw for me, moving my money after 10+ yrs with QB, and as any other major corporation is very difficult to speak to a human agent, I couldn't be more disappointed.

QuickBooks takes FOREVER to load and has constant bugs. A fun one is entering a customer email address and tapping save, it says it saved, go back.. no email address is saved. I love having to ask customers for their email address multiple times. Today while using the app the receive payment button disappeared in the invoice screen, as did the "Send invoice" button. So accounting and invoicing software that can't do either of those things. what are you even doing Intuit. This is hot garbage

I have used Quickbooks since back when you had to buy the update at a box store and no online. Then made the switch to online for $50/ month. The price has consistently risen (already a couple times this year alone) since then to $85/month. Unfortunately I would not recommend starting from scratch with this service anymore due to the cost. There are competitors out their that dont rape their customers with exorbitant pricing. Ridiculous.

Worst experience ever with QuickBooks Payments. They accepted my customer's payment and held my money for over 6 months. Customer service was completely useless—every call gave me a different answer, and no one resolved the issue. They showed no concern for the damage this caused to my business. If you depend on your cash flow, stay away from QuickBooks Payments. I would never recommend them to any small business owner.

BUYER BEWARE I tried for over 2 hours to install the app and purchase a specific product. I kept getting errors. I finally gave up and went to a different app that I was able to sign in and set up what I needed right away. an hour later I got a receipt saying that they charge the payment that previously they were not able to charge. when I called customer service I was on the phone for an hour and a half and never got the issue resolved.

If you plan on using the app to take payments, you have to do the math, to figure out how much this company takes. If not, you'll get screwed. it would be great if they just automatically added the 3.5% on keyed in transactions, and the 2.75% on in person transactions. And if they haven't thought of that until after reading this then it sure would be nice to get 3.5% of the annual transactions they take from other small businesses. And the app is not easy to create detailed invoices.

I've noticed a few bugs with the app, but the most frustrating one is when you try to match bank deposits with more than one sales receipt. It always returns an error. And the automatic match fails to capture more than one transaction, so the match needs to be entered manually. I have tried on my tablet and phone. So I can only post that kind of transaction on my desktop. I've tried to submit a ticket in the Help and Support section in the app, but that shows as a blank screens with no options.

The phone app for some reason does not store all my expenses from years back and customer support couldn't find out the reason for this, had to redo it all manually to then see that everything is there when logging onto my laptop. Deleted and reinstalled the app back on my mobile device, but still shows only from last year to this year. The only option given was to upgrade to pay a ridiculous high amount just to have my work backed up and saved. Wow!! Not worth what I am paying now!

worst software ever. I try to email invoices from the app and it only works on invoices just created. if you try to send an existing invoice, you just get a blank white screen. I've went through all the steps of clearing cache, uninstall/reinstall. I even tried on other android devices...same thing. why pay a fee for something is can't use...I'm done with quickbooks

unreliable. Haven't been able to log in on one of my devices for 24 hours. "Help/support" is hard to reach. App works differently on different devices, vastly differently. Using it on an iPad requires extra clicks/steps for every item on an invoice, using it on a cell phone is faster, but won't allow an item to be made a negative quantity when taking back a credit. We have been asking for a a total piece count total on invoices for months, or longer, hasn't happened.

Absolutely awful!! Quickbooks Self Employed worked well, but this Sole Trader Plus is terrible. Every invoice is now the same invoice number instead of following on from the last invoice. The mileage tracker keeps disappearing and to mark an invoice as "paid" manually is convoluted. Bank accounts aren't uploading with new transactions, even when being reconfirmed. It's a step backwards! What are you playing at Quickbooks? I've also been charged £12 when the email said it would be an offer at £1.

QBO started off pretty great. Was very user friendly. Being able to run a P&L by tags is very helpful for trying to track multiple projects. But the amount of ads that pop up when you are trying to work has made it almost impossible to work. Anytime I go to press something, an ad gets in the way. I would't mind if it just popped up every once in a while, but every time I go to log in, plus the banners at the top and at the center of the screen, is obsurd.

When the app works, it's great. However, getting it to work is absolutely infuriating. It crashes nonstop on both my phone and my tablet. I have uninstalled and reinstalled on both devices, cleared the cache multiple times, and closed and reopened the app ad nauseum to no avail. It will randomly work for 2 or 3 receipt scans, and then crash again. At this point, I am only using the app because my accountant uses QB. That being said, it's not worth $100/month. I'm looking for something else.

This app is terrible lately. We switched to quickbooks mobile specifically so I could write invoices on the road and in the field. I have been unable to do anything but login and look at the page trying to refresh for two weeks now. We should have never switched from QB desktop. That software was better to navigate and far faster than QB Mobile for phones or PCs. We are looking into another solution away from Quickbooks altogether if they don't shape up quick.

Ok. I started at 4 stars but after the last update it's down to one. Stop fixing something that isn't broken. Everything is rearranged and it took me a few minutes just to figure out where my bank accounts were listed now. You guys messed up and made something that was "ok" confusing to use now. I'm tech literate, so that's not even the issue. Small updates and upgrades are great. Don't completely overhaul something to the point where one can't even figure it out anymore.

If you have a company with a large amount of data, don't expect to be able to do much with this. Slow, glitchy, and only pulled limited and recent data for customers. The ONE thing I did value and use was the receipt capture- which stopped working months ago with an update. Another business professional has the same issue. It's almost November and they still dont have it corrected. This isn't an app for entertainment; it's used to run a business, and for that, its completely useless.

Horrible!! This mobile application is completely broken!! it never loads my company data. I've tried it on different devices and no luck. I'm getting charged $100 every month and I cannot even do the most basic, which is invoicing on the go. Horrible, horrible application. Seriously considering switching to a better product. HORRIBLE!! I downloaded the app because the contracting platform I use said they are able to sync QuickBooks. I paid the monthly fee but was unable to sync my account. it's ok, no biggie. I was told that if I created a QuickBooks checking account that I would have instant and same day access to funds paid through an invoice I sent. so, I decided to use the service for a deposit invoice for a customer. 2 days later, still don't have access to the funds. yet the customer service rep said I should

I started using QuickBooks online just because it had an app that I could use on the phone out in the field. every month there's a new bug. for about the last month I have not been able to email an invoice. try it over several different devices no luck. Tech support is absolutely no help, called many times. very sad because this used to be a great tool. I keep getting told to use the desktop version which is impossible to use on a cell phone. I am DONE with QB!

with every update the app gets worse! I've been using qb since starting my business in 2005. since they made owning desktop version cost prohibitive I was forced to pay for qb online. there was a huge plus I could create an invoice at a customer's house and email to them on the spot. I can no longer do that. I can't email them at all. can't save the invoice to my phone or download it. The app is freaking useless. I dont want to try to navigate a web page on my phone or bring a laptop with me.

Unfortunately the app is practically useless. 9/10 times when I search for an invoice it says no results, then when I try to search the customer to find the invoice it has no record of them at all. I'm not talking new customers either, they are ones we've had in the system for a long time. I've never had these issues on the web page but since I'm usually the one running around picking orders it would have saved me a huge amount of time and energy to have a working mobile version.

most of the time the app can't log me in, says to try again later but that doesn't actually mean anything. also my build jumps significantly without any kind of increase and versatility. also, this program has a hard time if you have separate accounts under One bank. it has a very difficult time recognizing transfers and cannot pair them correctly. honestly is more difficult than doing accounting by hand for my small business.

Worst payment processing there is. I've used it for about 3 months and have gave a few of my customers the option of paying through here as they advertise getting payed faster and I can confirm that's a big lie. Out of 50k that I have invoiced, over half of it has been held every time for close to 2 weeks. If you reach out to customer service, the answer is 90% "I don't know when those funds will be released". I will be uninstalling for sure.

My price just went up, and now the app won't work on either one of my phones. It freezes now, and mileage won't track. I hate this app, but what else do you do. I need this to run my business, and it's completely unreliable. UPDATE: I have now uninstalled and reinstalled this app on both of my android phones. I have signed out and signed back in on both phones. Neither phone's app will work properly still! On either device, the app freezes and crashes.

I'm down grading to one star. I had an issue with editing parts prices when this latest version came out. That seems to work now. But now I'm having an issue with the sales tax line item zeroing itself out when I give a discount. Wish I would have caught it before giving away $150. Stay away from this product. They can't get things to work right and they've made everything more complicated. I feel stuck since I've used it for so many years now. I need to prioritize time to find a new product.

QuickBooks sucks. It costs a whole lot more than other software that I use, that can do far more complex things. The app can't edit any invoice that includes a bundled inventory item, which means that I can't edit most of my invoices. The app can only pull up recent invoices, so it is usless if you want to see what you sold someone 2 years ago. There are many other frustrations, but they only allow 500 character reviews here. EDIT: 2 1/2 years later it is still under performing.

They're always making changes that slow things down, & makes things complicated. If you dont have cell service to save an invoice, it closes the invoice & has to be completely redone. It'll also close the invoice after saving as if QB knows that you're done with it. I don't like the ridiculous rule that you can't use quotation marks in the name of a product to label as inches.

Loved quick books on desk top; started a mobile business & downloaded this app. Products & services will not stay synced up when adding them to an invoice, product name & product descriptions keep swapping places on their own, which is frustrating when you have multiple of the same type of product, but different part numbers. Disappointed and beyond frustrated.

As a rideshare driver, I count on Self-employed Quickbooks for all my tax needs. It is unacceptable to pay $14.99 a month for a service that doesn't function any longer. We rely on your mileage tracker daily. Now I have to carry a notebook around and try to remember where I'm going. If this doesn't get resolved soon I am jumping ship to a new app that works. How hard is it to get this fixed?!?!?!

Mileage tracker stopped working about a month ago. Like many others, I have been waiting for a fix. I use my car daily for work and I need this function to work! It's saying that the location settings need to be changed but I have gone through every single setting to no avail. I know it's not on my end. QuickBooks this is on you! My accountant is also frustrated since my data has not been accurate for 2 months - we have a monthly check up. So now y'all are creating problems further downstream!

The app is lack luster. It doesn't fully match the desktop online version. No matter how many times we set a invoice templates on the desktop it won't transfer to the app. The only reason we use the app is for the signatures on the invoices which the desktop doesn't have and the location sells tax. It would be helpful if the invoice templates/themes syncing issues would get fix as well. Or give desktop online the signature feature.

I'm not sure what happened with this latest update, but I hate it. I've been using the app for years, and I could always find everything I needed easily. Now, I can't even find my transactions and no longer see how to sync immediately with my bank accounts. On the shortcuts, QB banking, which I don't even use or want, replaced the transactions shortcut I used daily! I can't change or reorder the quick links or shortcuts to add transactions back. Please change it back!

The quickbooks app has gone downhill quickly. I've been using it for years. They have updated it and none of the saved invoice templates can be used. If you want to create expenses you have to refresh your synced data or none of your vendors/ customers will be there. This week it constantly crashes and ask if you want to wait or close program. It just keeps getting worse and nothing gets fixed. Also don't bother calling quickbooks because they have no clue about anything on the app.

This is the worst app on my phone. Straight garbage. It takes 4 or more attempts to sign in sometimes. While adding items to an invoice it will just close without saving so I have to do back and do it again. My saved items have descriptions underneath them from other items that shouldn't be there. It's slow. I have to double check to make sure invoices are saving because sometimes it doesn't.

Doesn't sync with the info input from a computer. The app itself is often not integrated with the info on QuickBooks Online accessed from a PC, and often times, when putting in the correct info, the app won't save properly. This has negative impacted our business. Vendors don't sync, settings don't save, and the unfortunate reality is that makes the app entirely unusable, except for taking pics of receipts.

If it worked, it would be great. But it's not. If you do not currently have any quickbooks software, find other software. It costs more time than it saves. I don't have the space to explain all my complaints. But here's several. It doesn't always save Estimates or Invoices (I've had to retype many of each). It also changes them on their own. The receipt scanner in the mobile app works 2/10 times. If you are using the scanner, make sure you have QBO open and confirm it's actually saving it.

The idea is good, but sales tax is messed up. We are a service company that has multiple customer locations. If I manually enter sales tax. It states doesn't show it under my tax liability later. Also, American express customer receipts are wrong when compared to actual bank deposits. Again it is a sales tax issue. The "based on your location" feature is a joke and a liability. Not sure how intuit can get away with it. I'll try using Square again for mobile payments.

You've got all these different apps requiring multiple accounts, some connected to others and some not... One product maybe has to be accessed from inside a different product that you may need yet another account to use... what an absurd system! And keep a very close eye on your bank statements if you're using any QuickBooks products, because they're sneaky about the fees they charge. They try to hide the amount of money they milk off of you by breaking it all down into small increments. Careful

Used this for the last two years, went to open it after a few weeks and it showed me a blank screen. Uninstalled, couldn't find the same app (name) in the store to reinstall. Followed the website to get the right one, now it says my email account doesn't have access to these features. I just want to send an invoice, this is ridiculous.

Update. Still not updating invoices in the app. I hate QuickBooks with a passion. I'm following the advice of my accountant and ditching it for a simple invoice system on Excel. 3 years we paid for this nonsense. Hey, it has not worked since the update. Please revert to the older platform to fix the bug fixes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 2 times. I pay way to much for this to have your mobile app nonfunctional. Figure it out.

It's like the app updates only pack in more pop ups to sell you more products and features. The whole point of the mobile app for me is to be able to generate invoices on the jobsite so I can get paid. When I have to try and hunt down estimates, it is a huge frustration. This morning I couldn't even get into my account. My customer had to leave for work before I could uninstall and reinstall the app to make it work. What a pain!

Every time the Android app is updated, new bugs appear. The recent update is one of the worst in years. Creating invoices suddenly requires multiple extra steps for each piece. You cannot change the quantity of items when initially adding them to the invoice, the date either, and invoices now print like a web page with a pay button on the paper copies, all of which are hilariously frustrating. Also worth noting: every now and then the database just fails, and all company data is unavailable.

This app used to be awesome. But Quickbooks decided to update the invoicing to the point were the app is awfully slow and no longer works. It's so bad that when you create an estimate the estimate does not load. Our technicians were able to complete invoicing and collect payment within 5 mins. Now it takes 15. Because of this we are not even able to take credit card payments. After a very frustrating week we have deleted the app and will be canceling our quickbooks subscription.

Terrible. App is just terrible. I'm about to go back to paper invoices. Appears there may have been a recent update maybe and can no longer make invoice on the go. If I can, can't even actually enter a number for hours on the job. Add customer on the app, they just disappear. But also the app personally has been on the decline since launch. Wish I could get most of my money back. Desktop version was ok. Technology is supposed to make life easier, this thing is pure stress.

Quickbooks Online has been giving me issues for the past 2 years, and it seems like it's getting WORSE! Yesterday, it began no allowing you to even write up an invoice for more than a quantity of ONE (1) So if your customer wants to buy more than one of the same product you literally have to create multiple lines. I've encountered other issues as well too many to list! I NEED the Mobile access for my business, but I'm looking elsewhere for a better solution with better support that cares!

Without a doubt the absolute worst. There was a time where QuickBooks was the best! Now, for whatever reason they just keep changing things. And it's not like things we are asking them to do. They'll get rid of reports, change the UI, add a feature by taking away 2 others. None of it has made logical sense and if it weren't for the huge undertaking of switching software for our 500+ accounts, our comoany would have switched a long time ago Update 5/3/24: they screwed with it even further now!

Always crashes, they are not helpful on the phone at all. I spent 6 days and over 5 hours on the phone trying to get the mobile app to work after having quickbooks for the past 6 years because of an update they did. Now I can't use the app when my business is 100% mobile. They tell me to call again in a few days & make another case so that "maybe" they can push the call through to the back end department. Terrible experience. I have called over 16 times over the past 2 months, no help. Trash!!

The was ok enough to get by, but now it just sucks has continued to get worse month by month. The customers don't fully sync with my books. When I create a customer and invoice, the invoice disappears for several hours, making it impossible to collect a payment from the customer even though it shows a balance. This has made my little quick books payment thing a waste of money even though I really like the device. Quickbooks, you have some work to do to improve. Please stop neglecting the app.

I find it very difficult to add transactions and attach documents to said transactions. Example: I issued a reimbursement check to a member. I knew she was in our list of vendors because multiple events for us each year so I often am giving her reimbursements. Her name did not pull up on the list of vendors in the app but when I tried to add her name I got an error because she was already a vendor. It's difficult to search for transactions that have been entered from the web-based version

This mobile version does about 1/8 of qbo and of that 1/2 of its functionality is buggy. Searching for an invoice does not search what's in the invoice data fields, it only searches the invoice number and the total amount. That's not helpful for me. I need to be able to search within data fields of all invoices (even more than a year old). Update: this app is pointless, nothing works as it should. No wonder there's not a single positive review since the latest update.

The customer service is terrible. The app is difficult to navigate because you have to do everything in 5 different apps and sync them all and take many steps to accomplish something simple like paying an employee. The biggest problem is how difficult it is to speak with customer service. It seems no one can do anything, and after hours of waiting on the phone and after $200 in fees because they charged my savings account instead of checking account they said they would reimburse me, and nothing

I've been using quick books online for about a year now. This app the mobile version. Has become completely useless. Do yourself a favor and do not download this app. There is no purchasing module. The inventory module is barely functional and you cannot check stock. If you did not enter an invoice in the app, You cannot access that invoice on the app until it populates one or two days later. Customer service Is useless. Step one delete and reinstall. Step two, Just use Google chrome.

It does the basics and would be nice to use, but it doesn't match the functionality of the website. For example- I cannot select Direct Debit as the payment method when adding an invoice. My customers are all repeat customers and pay by Direct Debit so this means I cannot add these invoices on the road. I also have problems adding expenses (can't select a supplier), so again can't add these on the road. If I have to wait until I'm back in the office to do half the items its all a bit pointless.

Works only part of the time. Slow to load. Sometimes won't allow credit card payments. Freezes up. Won't auto update. Customer service is terrible! They always make it out like you're the problem and not the app. Makes mobile working stressful because you never know if the app is going to work. Update: 1/2023. Intuit did another Update and now the online and app continues to crash. Won't allow me to set my sales tax rate. The app restarts when I attempt to create an invoice.

This new app is so bad. There's no way to view all of the unpaid invoices. You either have to view the overdue ones or the not due yet or All in order to see them. Then you gotta hunt in all. What about everything unpaid? AND.... there's no way to change the sort order. I care most about what's unpaid, not those that are paid when I'm looking in the invoices section. And the new layout.... it's way too restrictive and looks like we went back in time with our invoices.

Since the update, the already horrible capture camera is worse and now the app will not upload new receipts. Don't waste your time and money. Edited to add the fact that we are being charged more and more every 2 months. Our subscription was to start at $10/ month, went to $16.92/ month, and it's now $32.93/ month. We only use this app to save receipts as we are a small facility, no employees and we don't use it for invoicing or bill payment. Customer service is non-existent by the way.

The only thing this does right is receive payments from customers. I am the COO of a company and always on the go. As a result, on the app more than the computer. In running reports, the app expense report shows $500,000 more than the computer. When checking bank balances, the app shows over $100,000 more than the computer AND the actual accounts. Good thing I don't rely on the app for day-to-day.

Longtime user, would have given 5 stars, but I believe that the recent update has caused an error when uploading snapped receipts. I've cleared cache, restarted device, reinstalled, and repeated the issue on other devices. All customer support had to say on the matter was "Sorry, can't help you, but at least I tried." I'm looking forward to the next update that corrects this issue, at which time I'll gladly change my review to 5 stars.

Quickbooks worked for a few years but now with the new updated version the app stopped workibg on my phone, tablet and cromebook. It makes it very inconvenient. We tried calling to get the problem fixed but all they say is that it is just an update but that is not the case. This is so frustrating super expensive for it not yo work is not work. Don't used this app if you need it to be on the move, now we need to figure out what other apps are out there that we can move to.

It'll allow you send invoices! App crashes CONSTANTLY. They end up taking a percentage of EVERY invoice that is paid, unless a customer hands you cash, adding up thousands annually, and then when a problem arises, they claim "Quickbooks just keeps a record of your invoices, we have nothing to do with the financial end", although it's THEM that withdrawals from my account! They mark invoices as paid that don't clear and never tell you there was an issue! Just terrible software! Look elsewhere!

Signature line is gone. I've always been able to easily have my customer sign the invoice. 40+ minutes on the phone with tech support and I still don't have an answer! Before I got the reply, I changed back to the "old invoice style" on my desktop QB online, and THAT got the signature line back in the app. Supposedly the "new format" will be mandatory. I hope they add a signature line by then! Customer support is still horrible.

This app used to work fine. However, since the new update, we no longer have customization on invoices. As a mobile body shop contractor, we need to be able to have fields that show the vehicle, order #, and the description of the vehicle so that the customer knows which invoice goes to which vehicle. We have called several times and have been told there is an open investigation still going. If it isn't broken, dont fix it.

It worked easier before this unnecessary update and complete format change. The auto capitalize at the beginning of each sentence doesn't even work anymore! You now select a customer open their file, select Send Invoice and then it asks you to then add customer?! All these things add time to do a simple task, time that really matters when you have many customers to get to! Why doesn't this new format track your most commonly used items on invoicing and keep them at the top like the last version?

Horrible app. I couldn't get the website to work on my browser, so I downloaded the app. I get to the first welcome screen and it locks on me. Can not even get into the app to see how the app itself is. I've had it for 12 hours and I'm deleting it. If I could do zero stars I would. It's awful that I pay a large monthly fee to use the Intuit products and NONE of their mobile options work, and when you use the website it is difficult at times. Time to start looking for a better alternative.

App messes up a lot and leaves you scrambling to get to your computer to fix problems caused by the app. For example, I was updating an invoice on the app, and when I hit the save button as required to make changes, it marked the invoice as paid. when no payment was received. It's good to get customers' info in the system so when you do get to your computer, it's already there.

The app on my phone keeps turning off mileage tracking, and almost never allows me to edit and send invoices. The web version has glitches and faults as well. Most notably failure to record transactions that are linked to credit cards or banks... the automatic recording of transactions between linked accounts and an easy to use app on my phone are the very reasons I signed up in the first place... and don't even get me started on the fees.... you don't get what you pay for these days...

terrible!! I tried todo an estimate and it took me 5hrs because it kept throwing error stuff and not saving it. I tried to upload a bunch of pictures and it was terrible I got 3 out of 6 on my estimate and gave up. I wrote 1000 words in my estimate description and sent it but the one that's save on there shows no estimate description. if I can't recover the one I sent im gonna be out of alot of money!!!!! this was a terrible experience for my first time use!!!

Constantly having new issues pop up. I have contacted the developer via email as advised with no response. I am no longer able to send invoices or estimates. Services and products selection is required, but am unable to select those options. The buttons are darkened out and unable to select. About to move on from QuickBooks. Even desk top version is constantly changing and not for the better...just when you think you have figured it out...poof...start over!

Went from the desktop version to this because of a crazy price increase for the desktop version. I had been using the desktop version since 2008, and liked it. However, this online version is completely unusable. I have very basic accounting needs and I don't understand how they messed up so bad. I am so glad I do not use QuickBooks to take payments or for keeping track of employees. This makes me want to start keeping books with pen and paper, it will probably save me time.

I have been using QB online for several years & it's very user friendly. I would recommend it as a reliable, user friendly option. Merchant accounts & fees are reasonable. However, the price keeps going up & I have a very small client base where I do not need all the bells & whistles. All I need is invoicing, basic record keeping & ability to offer credit card payment to my clients. I don't see an option for just basic features.

Don't do it! Don't be mislead by the fancy app and website. Very difficult to speak with a human who knows anything. Hidden fees are everywhere! Extremely difficult to get any refunds for "accidental" overcharges. Very manipulative practices. Trust me! You will be charged for nearly every feature and the monthly cost goes up quickly without notification. When you cancel, they will continue to charge your card on file. Check how horrible their reviews are online! 1/5 stars is their average!

The features are useful but the app itself is very buggy. Crashes often, particularly in mileage tracker, as another reviewer said, which loses your mileage tracking. Logs me out regularly, which is such a pain especially if you are trying to add something in quickly between errands or meetings. Overall one of the worst functioning apps on my phone. Definitely a big let down compared to the actual computer software.

I had Quickbooks Desktop and then Quickbooks Online for many years. In the early years, they seemed to be a somewhat decent company. As the years went by, like many greedy corporations, they started jacking their prices pretty much on a yearly basis. I guess that's the price you have to pay for doing online business nowadays. To top it off, Quickbooks opened a debit account without my consent, and then they transferred all the monies from my Quickbooks merchant account into this debit account.

It has issues. When I turn on the milage tracker I later find out that it turned itself off and never tracked my miles. I thought it was just me but it did it a few times over weeks. They offer a discounted monthly price for uber drivers but it is more than what I already pay for it. My bookkeeper has other issues with it so I have to find app thay can do things without all these issues.

This app is constantly having problems when I need to write or edit estimates, invoices & other essential needs. When I call, I just get apologies and to do everything from the website. That's not a solution. It defeats the purpose of having the app. When it DOES work, it's very convenient. Please fix your app NOW! It's costing me MONEY! I read other reviews & INTUIT tells them the same thing "use your browser on your phone". QuickBooks has been around since forever and should have a good app!

I've to to tell you, the longer I have used this app, the worse it has become! In late 2021 the app started auto populating the payee for any receipt from Lowe's under one client. Never figured out a fix. Any receipt from Lowe's I still change manually. Now late 2022, it's gotten worse. I can no longer change the description for a receipt. The app will auto populate a description sometimes, sometimes not. I can type my own but it will never save. Making the description completely useless now.

Terribly slow, and I always have troubles logging in. Correct name and password but just loads forever until it errors me out. Deleting and reinstalling to see if that helps but so far I hate the app. Update! Still can't sign into the mobile app. Horrible app. Wasted time and wasted money. Fix your app! I've Uninstalled and reinstalled and checked for updates. What could possibly be wrong that I cant login?! Soo frustrating.

It's convenient for some things, but really it's missing one of the most important features of the online portal - there's no way to track billable hours in the app. Edit: someone was nice enough to respond that the quickbooks essentials subscription did have time keeping ability. I do have the essentials subscription, but time keeping is still not available in the mobile app. That was the point of my first review.

If you've used the desktop version you will be really disappointed. I used the desktop for 20+ years and switched. Not even close to the functionality of the desktop. Many things just aren't there. Sales tax is the part I feel lacks, the non taxable sales tracking is atrocious, to the point of tracking and reporting that alone is really time consuming. Please QuickBooks, fix this! Your customers have been complaining about this problem for years!

Been using this app for three and a half years and it works minimally well. But it often loses company information and I have to resync that takes forever. It has alot less ability than using the browser version. All in all I find myself using the browser when using mobile and it isn't anywhere close to being optimized for mobile and it's still easier to use. You'd think a company the size of intuit would have their act together and produce a workable app.

Updated from 2014. 7 years later I just tried the app again. Updated it and there is an error code at log in. The Desktop browser Online Version has massive issues with large estimates rendering on a desktop. QB will blame it on Computer RAM but we are using DELL ALIENWARE $3,000 gaming laptops and still no success. Update. I already reached out. It was no help. We quit using the software. The software cannot handle estimates with 20+ line items without lagging out and losing your work.

Mileage tracking is horrible. In auto tracking mode, hit some traffic or a long wait at a light and your trip stops-starts multiple times. Even when you manually enter your trip, expect quickbooks' calculations to be missing 30-50% of the actual distance. Called customer support support but they just want me to troubleshoot the issue with them. Sorry, but I'm running a business and don't have time to route out bugs in your software. Although if you want to hire me as a tester, let's talk.

I will fix my review when you fix the application. App is fully updated. Phone is updated. Everything is up to date and still have issues. Force closes randomly. Search bar refreshes after every character typed causing typos or slow typing. Doesn't show full customer history (have to go to website to view). Constantly erases line items I've added forcing me to retype over and over. *Problem still not solved. Will be canceling SlowBooks shortly and getting a new system for my business.*

This app that I have used the last 4 years is no longer functioning. I rely on this app to run my business, and currently it flat out doesn't work. When I try to adjust my invoices it won't save and an error message pops up to call quickbooks. When I call quickbooks, they don't because they say the don't support the app. It is an endless frustrating loop and I am unable to run my business effectively. Someone reach out to me and fix this (developers).

Until the update, on 3/21/22, I had very few issues with this app, now it makes me sign in every few minutes, doesn't refresh data, and glitches out with half the features. I am beyond frustrated! I uninstalled and re-installed the app a few times and restarted my phone, but it didn't solve the problems. HELP!! I use this app daily so to be having these issues is not going to work.

New gripe. Found out on Monday that the mobile app won't sync on all of our devices. We can't find most of our customers on the app so we can't write or modify invoices. This also means we can't process credit cards in the field so now we have to pay extra processing fees and have the customers pay online (read, chase payments). Also taxes our office in that they now have to handle the invoicing. Spent time Monday and Tuesday with Intuit filing reports, but still no solution.

If I could give this app O stars I would. QuickBooks are con-artists who tricked me out of my money. Small business owners look else where for an accounting app. There is no customer service. The app is clunky, hard to use and pointless. I thought it would make taxes easier but it is no help at all in that regard. All the app does is simple arithmetic to tally up your expenses and invoices. I'm going back to an invoice book and calculator.

This app is absolutely terrible. Every time you log in on the app it's about a 15% chance that your datas going to show up properly. Like if you create an invoice on the computer an hour later, pull up the app on the phone to try to view that invoice. Chances are it's not there. You also cannot add negative amount for a discount to a line item. You also cannot select a custom payment method in the app such as square payment or otherwise. The app leaves a lot to be desired and is a waste of time

Very limited functionality vs the desktop and poor integration between the two - for instance, don't expect any vendor info (bills, payments, etc) to show up in the app. Nor customer estimates, usually. And that's on Android - it doesn't work properly on iPhone at all You're better off just to go into QuickBooks through your browser, though it isn't optimized for mobile whatsoever, so it's terrible too. Just a little less terrible than the app

software gets clumsier through every update. fees on top of fees. qb now wants to charge fees for charging fees. took over the sheets, now tsheets doesn't work. what was once pretty decent, is now complete rubbish. App logs you out all the time. *edit Thanks for the automated-ish response! It reminds me of the support! I'll be changing my rating!

App is fine. The problem is that it is offered by a deceptive company that suddenly makes changes that benefit themselves, to the tune of hundreds or thousands of dollars a month. Payment from client by ACH used to be free unless you wanted funds fast. Now they charge a fee on ALL ACHs. Greasy miscreants. Thieves. If you cannot trust a company with whom you partner to manage your finances, then you need to look elsewhere. Quickbooks was an expensive mistake. Don't make the mistake I made.

Don't sign up or subscribe, till first make sure it works for you!!!! Frustrating, I tried to set up my bank account which has two factor authentication. I couldn't find a way to add my account to bypass this and the help was useless. It's very common today for people to use 2 factor authentication. They should have already resolved an easy way to input a new account, or made it more obvious if they have, that allows for two factor authentication. Deleted app, looking for another alternative.

I can't use this. I set up QuickBooks online account from my desktop. Then installed this app. Once I logged in, the app says my subscription does not include access to this app. So much for it being free...these sales people are full of it. If you want an easier software to manage with a smartphone app, use Xero. It was much easier to set up.

I remember when quickbooks used to be good but now it is just terrible. I tried different platforms, computers, browsers, apps and nothing would work. after an hour and a half with customer service, they had no solution. seemed like they just focused on irrelevant information instead. after spending several hours on trying to make this work, I am going to go with a different company

The interface is really cute. On my laptop, online has consistent data. I have used this for over 3 years and one thing that seems to be VERY consistent is the phone app is boo boo. It never pulled data accurately. Whenever I need to pull overdue invoices for a client, the app fails (it will not show them). I have to pull over and pull out my computer. That's stupid. Intuit has tremendous resources and they always have various bugs and the app has always been slow.
