I had a negative experiences after reading all the bad review but if you have a large amount of data transfer be prepared to wait for hours with the possibility of needing several attempted. I almost brought a licence for one of those shady apps. The apps is completely free but process took over 4 hours..

Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience! The Move to iOS app is completely unreliable and a waste of time. I have tried transferring my data multiple times from my OnePlus Android phone to my new iPhone 17 Pro, but the transfer keeps failing midway. Even after trying both Wi-Fi and cable connections, the app fails to complete the transfer. It is unbelievable that Apple, a company known for its premium products, cannot provide a basic and reliable data migration application.

It worked perfectly for WhatsApp transfer, via USB cable to the iPhone 17 on the first attempt. I almost didn't try due to these bad reviews, but it worked for me. Yes, it's annoying to need to reset the iPhone from scratch but less work than losing your messages. ps: I did not use the other transfer options (not much sense to me since Google Drive and Google Photos have iOS apps)

Spent over an hour transferring data and said that transfer was complete. A few more buttons later it says transfer failed and the only option is to reset the phone. On to wasting another hour on another transfer.

Apple still can't or won't fix this appalling app. if I could give zero stars I would, utterly useless , iPhone cancels the transfer every time no matter if using WiFi or USB cable, Apple clearly aren't interested in making this process work properly , all the forums are full of people struggling with this, have sent my new iPhone back and ordered another Android.

It's annoying when the battery is low and you can't use it; that's very bad.

iPhone Duo release & ordering has been the absolute worst product release in the history of any phone company. Why sell a phone that you can't even deliver for 3 months? This isn't like purchasing a car where you select options and wait for it to be built. It's a phone that only has 2 color options and 3 or 4 storage options. The phone should be built prior to letting people order. Apple is a billion dollar company and can't adhere to a release schedule. Planning should account for this!

This app cant transfer what's app chats to your new iPhone. It can transfer everything properly including call logs, calenders, contacts, images and all but it cant transfer WhatsApp chats. And even if it does transfer them, they wont be imported onto the new iPhone. An error will occur during the importation process. Apple needs to fix this ASAP

Be aware that this app has bad support when moving RCS messages. I have entire conversations that never transferred. Additionally, if you are transferring your entire photo library, be prepared for the software to crash or take 8+ hours to complete. I had to retry the connection 3 times before I got an import to start working. This app is not good for large amounts of data, I have 90% of my texts but everything else I had to do manually later.

Extremely frustrating experience transferring data from my OnePlus 11 to iPhone 17 Pro. 4 attempts over Wi-Fi failed at different stages. Every failure forced me to reset my iPhone and repeat the entire setup. Even 2 minutes of inactivity interrupted progress, with no option to resume. Finally, I connected both phones using the USB-C cable supplied with the iPhone, and it worked! Practical advice: Don't waste hours retrying over Wi-Fi. Use cable supplied for transfer. No need for 3.0 cable.

Genuinely shocked by how bad this experience was. Took 7 tries to kind of work, and even then I had to go back and manually transfer files from my old android to Google Drive in order not to lose them. Lost all my WhatsApp history. My photos are in a scramble since the transfer didn't preserve the folder structure. Half my apps failed to transfer. I could go on. You'd think Apple would put a smidge more effort into ensuring that transferring to their product is not nightmarishly difficult.

The Main problem, is that the Apple dev team didn't think about changing some settings in the iphone while using the app. if the screen went off, the transfer stopped. so... change the settings to screen always on in iphone when transferring . I moved only my Whatsapp (20 minutes on pressing on the screen) and in the end, it didn't work

I originally tried using this app in 2020 and now it's 2026. it is incredible to see that in 6 years, there has been no improvement to this app and the process to transfer data.

it literally does not work for the Pixel 8 Pro. Even when only transferring messages and contacts (<10gb) it never even establishes an estimated waiting time. Apple has no support for this issue. it literally has me considering just returning the iPhone to the store.

I switched from an s23fe to the new 17 pro max and all my data exactly was transffered and about 90 gb was transffered within 10 mins and my iphone was set up quick and easy

the apps has a bug where it shows "Low Battery" while my phone is 80%. it asks me to plug my phone in so i did anyways despite closing all the battery saving modes. not recommended because ive been trying to transfer my data since last week but its still stuck until today. please do something about this lol.

It then took me to a new screen saying the transfer failed. It gave me one button "Reset". Nothing else. The iphone completely reset. When I went back to my android device, whatsapp nuked. everything gone.....

App could be much better. It could take you a couple of hours depending on how much content you're moving over to iPhone. Also it took me two attemps to finally transfer all of my content to iPhone because the transfer process would stop at 99% and fail.

Data transferred successfully, there are tips you can use while using this app I bought iphone 18 recently, before that I was using android (samsung). I used my samsung phone for 6 years. So just imagine, amount of data. 1) Do google photos backup for photos/videos 2) In Whatsapp, delete unnecessary large files (usually I download imp stuff nd save in google drive/photos. It will help u in reduce file size - mine was 7gb I transferred Contacts, phone call history, Whatsapp data. It took 6 hrs

One of the worst app experiences of had in over a decade. It's hard to believe this was written by Apple.

This app is GARBAGE, the transfer failed multiple times. It's duplicated over 3000 videos that I had to manually delete, and then on top of that it missed transferring thousands of other photos and videos after saying it was complete. Trash app just manually conver to iOS.

Says WhatsApp has no Data or is incompatible and therefore does not transfer. In WhatsApp itself everything seems fine. I tried every help recommendation online without success that's the most important part for me so I'm frustrated, to put it nicely. Everything else worked fine.

Abysmal app what's sadder is that Apple has integrated this as a part of their migration from Android to iOS flow. progress randomly gets stuck at a stage, to no avail. It is also apparently a process that cannot happen in the background. So you, as a user, are stuck looking at 2 screens not budging at all - while this migration supposedly happens. Very frustrating - still haven't been able to "Move to iOS"
