why this weather take to long to refash

Just updated the app from the Play Store. The app loads on my S4 tablet, gives some data and crashes. The update seems to contain a glitch for this tablet when the "radar" screen is activated. This needs work. It works fine on my phone, an S25 ultra. I have used the app for years.

I used to depend on this app as a commercial driver, and now, not only are the ads intrusive, but the radar no longer works. Please explain why "upgrades" are made the product gets worse.

Worked great for years; it was the only weather app I would use. In October 2026, something changed and now it crashes when I try to view the radar. I've now switched to a different app.

please update time on the app

it immediately launches shopee as soon as I open the app. ads are acceptable if only they behave, and shopee is notoriously not one of them. I would gladly remove this bad review if you would fix your shopee ads.

Location services are broken, so you get push notifications for every weather alert in the county regardless of whether it actually affects you. Renders push notifications useless since 9 out of 10 alerts are for areas that are nowhere near you.

I don't know what's going on, but my radar and maps keep shutting down after I click on that tab!!! I've uninstalled and reinstalled it twice, and it still doesn't work properly!! What happened???

it seems crowded with ads but looks have improved a lot. the minute cast used to show the time under the vertical line as you scroll but it doesn't now and it's kind of a guess of what time rain starts and ends. getting better.

gives different forecast depending on the tab. today the hourly forecast says rain 62% rain within the hour, today's current forecast says no rain for at least 120 mins. Talk about hedge your bets. probably the poorest named App. everyday for over a week rain was forecast, not a drop fell.

Never had to pay for the app. But guess that's the way with these things today, thinking people will pay to remove adds and have added features, who in their right mind will pay to use a weather app. Uninstalled it immediately after seeing that

There's no Brazilian Portuguese language for this app. Even Mozambican Portuguese, but not Brazilian! And I have ads everywhere in the app, even though I have a lifetime subscription.

Stops when open radar

It's truly sad how far this app has fallen. It used to be one of the best weather apps on the market, and now it's complete and utter garbage. Whoever is in charge is greedy and needs to be fired immediately.

Has become way too pushy for TicTok Every single time I try to look at the "daily" forecast," it forces TikTok app on me, and will NOT allow me to back up to Accuweather app.

Liked the app until recently when I open the radar & maps tab, the map come up but then the app crashes and shuts down. I updated to the most recent update; but does the same thing.

Variable accuracy and app reliability... since the upgrade in October 2026 this app crashes so often I've removed it completely. Tech support said they were aware of the problem and working on it... that was 30 hours ago! Too painful to wait.

Takes forever to load the app. It's become so bloated with ads even though I paid the one-time fee. I have constantly had ads in this app over the years even after paying for premium. This time of year it's political ads, which is absolutely ridiculous. I do not recommend giving any money to this company, even for the subscription, as they cannot be trusted. You will still have ads.

The radar map screen opens and then the app closes completely

The app keeps asking me to upgrade to a subscription membership and when I press maybe later the screen remains blank after the add disappears and I cannot use the app anymore. You're getting one star getting uninstalled from my phone....BYE!!!!

The ads have rendered the app useless. You cannot bypass or close the ad without closing the entire app so I just uninstalled it.

Used this app for years, but after the recent upgrade the radar screen crashes the program with seconds. Cannot get the radar screen to stay. I follow the prompts to uninstall the problem update, restart, re-setup, but same problem appears. Will find another app until this is fixed.

App crashes when I try to open radar, started happening recently. Same experience as other users have recently reported. I've tried: 1. uninstalling and reinstalling the app, 2. uninstalling and reinstalling android system webview updates, and 3. clearing the cache. Seems like an issue with the most recent update? App otherwise works well, but this is a crippling issue.

Never had any problems until today. when I pull up the radar, the app force closes. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and that didn't magically fix it.

I checked the weather yesterday. it showed NOT A SINGLE DROP OF RAIN, THE ENTIRE DAY. I did 2 loads of washing, and went shopping. It rained and stormed the entire day, with thunder and lighting as well. In fact, I heard later, that there had been warnings of severe weather conditions from other sources, the day b4. it's not the first time. I've used accuweather through Google search for a long time. I'm not being a doofus anymore

This app worked perfectly up until recently. Now it crashes shut when I access radar map. I force stopped, cleared cache, restarted phone, installed and reinstalled app, and it still crashes. I get a notification that I have to uninstall webview updates on Android and I refuse to mess with that just because your app doesn't work. All my other weather apps work with webview updates, yours should also. I loved the app up until now, and I'm going to end up uninstalling it.

Used to be the best weather app out there until they stared using full screen ads just to see the forecast. Greed and ad revenue killed the user experience. RIP Accuweather.

Best so far. Like the hourly forecast, no ads like many other.

Unable to use as I got a notification of severe weather but when reviewing and trying to look at the radar it immediately crashes and forcing a webview error "Uninstall System Webviewer", done, crash, disable, crash immediately upon launch, update web view, fail to launch app upon update.

I don't know why, but within the last week, when I go to check the radar, the app crashes. It is kind of annoying.

Used to check this everyday. Now they make you watch an Ad before you can even look at the weather. This is something that should be quick and not time consuming. Tired of the ads so uninstalled.

Love this Ad simulator app! Love the constant pop ups makes it a very enjoyable app when trying to use it. Definitely should add 87 more ads every second because I don't think there are enough!

ads are insane, constantly inaccurate (I mean its the weather so what can you do really), and the sunset time doesn't account for dst which is really weird

AccuWeather used to be my favorite weather app until recent updates. Now one is barraged by ads as soon as the app is opened. Most pop-ups are difficult to close. Often they cannot be closed without re-launching the app. I deleted AccuWeather in favor of a less annoying and more responsive app.

You never accurately report our weather in Sebastian, FL. we are half way between Melbourne and Vero Beach and their weather is always different than ours especially when it comes to rain and day time highs. I hope you can start predicting more accurately after reading this message. I have lived here for 11 years and this problem has always been the same.

This has been my go to app for weather. Lately there has been way to many ads. Now there are transparent ads as a wallpaper in the background of the forcast. It makes it hard to see the daily temp forcast. I'll use something else untill this is changed.

The latest update decreased the extended forecast from 45 down to 30 days, but increased the advertisements. The final straw was the LOUD commercial that came outta nowhere for me and everyone within twenty feet of me to hear. BYE BYE!

I paid for the lifetime premium when it was the only pay for use option. It had a widget, and the app was okay. Now, they come up with a new pay level and remove stuff from previous lifetime pay level and want to get paid again for stuff that was already included. Giant money grab. The app is still okay, but losing the widget that I already paid for is terrible customer service.

Used to be fairly reliable and easy to use, but lately there are far too many ads. You have to watch an ad to access the radar, and another ad to access the rain forecast. Yes, these are full screen unskippable ads. I get that there are costs associated with running an app, but flooding the interface with oversized ads and full screen video ads has made me move on to another app, after more than a decade of using AccuWeather.

What happen to the background? It looks like white crumpled paper. That with a white font makes it nearly impossible to read anything.

The last couple weeks the app freezes up constantly or doesn't load at all requiring a force close. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and everything is current with updates. The forecast has gotten progressively worse and less accurate. It may finally be time for a switch.

This was a very accurate app. Then, about 2 years ago something changed. The radar will show it's raining in my area when there's nothing, no rain when it's pouring out. It will show the temperature off by 10+ degrees at times. It's better than other weather apps I've used but not as good as it used to be

Accuweather is the best weather channel i have ever used. It shows me weather that is never wrong. I strongly suggest this.

Removed because of ads. I didn't care about ad banners, it became a problem when after clicking something it opened a full screen ad.

Paying 60 nok per month just to remove two white blinding flash-bang ad banners, just because there's a bunch of useless features tacked on to justify the price, is quite frankly insulting. I only want ads removed. Two blindingly bright white banners of moving cancerous ad gifs, in a sleek black app, is nauseating. So instead of paying you 60 nok a month, I'd rather pay NextDNS 200 nok a year, and no more ads.

ADS BEFORE WEATHER! Stop pushing ads on us before we even get to see the current weather. In certain conditions, it's critical and urgent to see the temperature and other data. Ads start playing before the main screen even shows up. This is NOT ok. Update: As a member of Search and Rescue for the city of London, ON, we depend on various source of data input for our planning. I hope Accuweather fixes this issue soon.

These people are not honest, and they will not honor their written agreements. I paid for the ad free version. It is not ad free, nor even close to it. No matter what, they want more money. They force garbage into your eyes and ears. Google search Cory Doctorow, and you will understand Accuweather. Add a C,R and P , drop the c's.

It would be great but it is useless because you cannot change units from Fahrenheit to Celsius or mph to kmh. There is no menu or options button anywhere. This seems to have been an issue for at least 6 months, how has it not been fixed yet???

It's a WEATHER App! I use it to QUICKLY check my LOCAL weather. So why, when I have location on, did it open to weather 200 miles away? I had to manually select my city. Then when I tapped one of the details, I got a 10 second mobile game ad.

OLD: I rely on Accu Weather on a daily basis and would be lost without it! You can see an overview or look down to the smallest details, which ever you prefer. Thank you Accu Weather for such an excellent application! UPDATE: I uninstalled this app after years of using it as I was tired of clicking to open it and getting a blank page; the app just refuses to start, so why keep it?

This app has nothing but ads for games with a little bit of weather info after you manage to clear all the ads and I will not pay for their premium app.

Ads have made this app unusable. As a response to the developer. Your app has had ads for a while. Until recently, they weren't so obtrusive that they made the app unusable. It's not the inclusion of ads (in general) that is the problem, it's how much they have damaged the functionality of the app at this point.

Rain is always over-forecasted, higher than other apps. Don't cancel plans based on this app alone. Check rain on other weather apps too. AccuWeather has gotten bad with pop-up ads that are designed to make you accidentally download other apps. Edit: After posting review, AccuWeather replies with a feedback link and wants me to spend even more time telling them what's wrong. Read the review! AccuWeather really doesn't get it. lol

It used to be an accurate app, it's the polar opposite now. It will say it's sunny when a thunderstorm is active in the area. very disappointing.

I find that the outside humidity is the same as the indoor humidity. I have my own equipment that shows indoor humidity which is always lower than outside. Accuweather gives me the same humidity outside as it does for inside.

why only 2 hours ahead on the radar?? Weather channel gives 8!!. you can plan your day with them. It's not rocket science, it's just satellite weather. And it's your only job. Texas could have used 8hr future radar. :( fancy Dark mode isn't going to help. WHY DON'T YOU ADD MORE FORWARD TIME TO THE RADAR? (no one cares about 3 hours in the past) the data is there, the weather channel uses it, why can't you? and why did it look like kindergarten Minecraft time?!

Really slow, confusing ui, makes you pay a premium subscription for basic features, and has too many invasive ads for a weather app. Just stick to the default weather app on your phone.

Widget sucks. It doesn't get refreshed automatically. Widet options are either too small to read or too big that eats up screen space. Please improve it.

What bothers me the most is how they try to sell premium in the typical, "we're here to help you. Make life easier with premium" rhetoric. What happened? I was a huge advocate for Accuweather but the app changes over the last years has killed my trust. Ads are my biggest issue. Ads when I need basic information. I've had ads I cannot even exit and need to kill the app. The app should have basic on-screen ads, not the captive ones.

This is the best app I've ever used for the weather. I am amazed how it is so precise down to the minute. I use it often when I mow grass to find out if I have enough time before the rain gets here. It is just about always correct UPDATE I am amazed what I said above was so true when I first started this app. I thought I would leave it so you can see the difference in how the app is today. It's not as accurate telling you when it's going to rain. The radar don't even show it correct sometimes.

I'm a Premium+ member. There are not supposed to be any ads. However, in the AccuWeather now section there are ads. Support requestd that I uninstall and reinstall the app. The ads are still there. I reached out again to support... no response.

I've been using and paying for years. I love some of the new features like pest prediction, arthritis/migraine predictions, and even a personalised page to predict the best dog walking times. I love these. the only thing I dislike is all the American stuff. I saw a TV feed so thought that was cool. clicked on it, and it was only America. a lot of the news and alerts are American. I get it if you don't offer those features internationally, but please, disable them outside US or introduce toggles.

No need to fix something that isn't broken. The app is more difficult to see and navigate since the update. It WAS great

for some reason they decided to put a "Open Street View" tab on the Radar page. Unfortunately, the geniuses decided to put it on top of the play button for the radar animation. So you can't play the animation. I use this feature often to see if storms are headed my way. PLEASE fix this. And please test your updates before you send them out. when you click on the Radar it sends me to your website, this is where the problem is. Don't you even know how your app works? incompetent.

I really used to trust AccuWeather, but it's become horribly inaccurate. I live in Florida and can't change incorrect information about tropical storms and hurricanes. Even its radar is incorrect much of the time.

The corporation responsible for AccuWeather says this is the most trusted weather app...to I which say I trust them first to give up your phone location and other details to data brokers. AccuWeather, Trust is merely your marketing pitch, not a benefit for users.

not correct weather report

The widget doesn't work most of the time. Having pop up ads on a weather app is peak mental deficiency.

Minutecast is often wrong. Wish there was a climate tab that showed historical average temperature over the last several hundred years for the current month or season to see how the current decade compares. The app is getting worse. Full page ads that don't close, radar that skips or doesn't load, and many things like lightning moving to paywalled.

I really used to love this app and recommend it to everyone. recently, it has began to drop in quality at a steady pace. there used to be no ads, then little ones easy to ignore. now they are full screen close out ads. Ads are too invasive and dominate too much of the screen. It's less frustrating to use a web browser. edit to reply: we all know you could make those ads smaller and less cumbersome. the ads on your desktop website use a much smaller percentage of that screen but you're not losing money there, are you? you've intentionally made these ads cumbersome to drive subscriptions. well now I've stopped using your browser site too. Genuinely, the Weather Channel app is god tier compared to yours.

This is the best weather app I have ever used. Recently I have had some issues with it on my new phone. I have had trouble opening it up especially at the start of the day. I often have to go to the app information on my phone and hit force stop then open it to make it work. I've tried clearing the app cache but that doesn't seem to help. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it didn't help. Finally had to remove and replace it.

Ever since I have upgraded to Premium my upgraded status only lasts a couple of days and then Ads start showing up. The only way to fix it is to log out and back in again but then I loose all my custom settings and locations. I'm debating if I'll renew after my annual subscription come up for renewal. I had the same issues when I was subscribed through the Google Play Store I know now the app is broken since I tried subscribing two different ways with the same results. Better with original owner

This app has become complete JUNK over the years!!!. I can't even pull up the weather in my local area with or without the location on. It stays frozen with just a white screen when I pull up the app!! I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times!!!!!!! It doesn't show me the local weather. GARBAGE!!

It's the most accurate weather app out of all the others. I recommend this one! Since they updated it last month it does not work on one of my phones - my Samsung. I had uninstalled the app & installed with the updated version & it still is not working. I'm having the same issue now a year later and it's not working again Please fix this issue.
