Literally impossible to use. I recently installed this to help communicating with tour providers when I'm traveling. But will not let me add a single account as a friend to message them, and it won't even allow me to search for anything. On my very first search it says maximum search limit has been reached, and the only account suggested comes up with an error message when I click it. So this app is completely useless, even after re-installing and trying on different devices

Extremely difficult transfer process. I had an account from like 10 years ago and the phone then is long gone so I can't use my number or my email. Verification codes don't arrive or are invalid. Instructions are not clear. So many reasons not to use this app. You need the precious phone to sign into a new device. What if that old phone is gone? Useless app.

Hello LINE Support Team, I am unable to transfer my LINE account to my new Android phone because the LCD of my old phone is broken and I cannot use it anymore. I can access the email address that I previously registered with LINE, and I can reach the account transfer verification screen by selecting Google login. However, I cannot complete the transfer because I no longer have access to LINE on my old phone or computer. I live in Indonesia and would like to recover my existing LINE account.

This app should be removed in the US. If you lose your phone or move to a new phone and wipe the app you have no way to recover the account and it ties your phone number to the old device which it was last installed on. Don't bother attempting to reach their support, it will route you to log into the app which you can't. When I finally managed to find a web page that can submit my issue, they were unhelpful. I have since abandoned my attempt in recovering the app.

Useless app. Got a new phone within a week of installing the app, and when trying to log into my new device, my account verification is "temporarily blocked" and that I need to "try again later". No explanation as to why and no indication of how long "temporary" is; although I have waited up to a week before re-attempting and the same message appears. Contacting LINE through their "Inquiry Form" is also pointless as it just throws an error message when you try to submit the form. Terrible.

CAUTION: Policy change... you'll be locked out. As of recently you can no longer transfer your account using a USA phone number (most other countries too). So if you have a new device and can't access your old device you will not be able to transfer your account to a new device without going through customer service which is a huge inconvenience. Good thing I never gave them a dime or I'd be really upset. Shame on you Line.

Totally useless.. If you lose you phone and want to log in to your line account on your new phone that's impossible.. Every option requires one to have access to the old phone.. Same goes if get a new SIM card.. The worst developed app ever.. You buy things on one account then it's lost forever.. And they don't help with account fixes. Line sucks don't install don't use another modern good chat app instead.

I accidentally logged out my LINE acc and I can't login back because it said I can't log in back with my country phone number. I tried every ways to contact and state the issue but I can't wait too long since I have my important files and photos in there. Also my fault for not linked email address or apple Id ,so i only have a phone no. option which currently I can't do nothing about that. Please support team, can you comment some solutions on this.

I was nearly locked out because I didn't enable some transfer setting before logging out and I didn't have any devices connected to the account to receive the verification code ON MY LINE ACCOUNT. Why is device binding mandatory with no option to turn it off? I uninstalled the app from my phone, reinstalled it, and now I can’t log back in because it insists I scan a QR code on my "old device." How am I supposed to scan anything from an app that was deleted? A phone number and password should be enough to verify identity. Frustrating UX.

Recently I uninstalled both Line and Disney Tsum Tsum because both were acting weird. Line kept claiming it was having Internet issues and Tsum Tsum was a black screen so I installed them on a different device. Tsum Tsum is working but I can't play because I can't log into Line. I can't log in to Line because I keep getting a verification error. I never used Line to chat so I shouldn't have violated anything. I don't even have a time limit.

Beware! It's a good, basic app for messaging but in Finland you cannot login with phone number (why??). If you lose your phone and haven't connected Line account with Apple, it's basically impossible to login to your Line account with a new device! Make sure to connect Line with Apple and login with PC just in case, otherwise your Line account is gone forever (in case you lose access to your phone). Connecting with Google doesn't help at all, it has to be Apple account. Support is clueless...

THE WHOLE REASON I'M CONTACTING SUPPORT IS BECAUSE I CAN'T LOG IN! It's a ridiculous, endless loop with no actual help. Absolutely useless and frustrating.

My phone with Line logged in suddenly stopped working. Now I cannot login on a new phone even though I have the user info/password and linked to Google and my phone number. Impossible to log in on a new device after losing my old one because the app requires authentication from the lost device. Critical flaw for account recovery.
